  1. First off get well soon to those that had incidents today. Hope all that were in my group had a good time. Sorry for the one detour.Cool beans that your Father showed up Will. Was nice to see some old faces and meet some new peeps. ended up with 520 miles. Thanks to all for the effort put forth to pull this off.One more thing----I'm never sweeping for you squids on the Gold Wing again.
  2. See you guys later. We be Rollin !!!
  3. Please tell me you got some sleep. ,
  4. Procrastination is one thing--------It's the too much fermented beverage that worries me. I hope you can make this.
  5. No new bike. My Wing will be 20 years old this year. She deserves and still is a good ride. Got other plans for the Super Hawk Monday morning.
  6. I'm with Will on this. As long as guys don't try and be macho and pick a group they have no buissness in things will be fine. Not my favorite road but it is ridable. As a leader of the heavy group I vote no change.
  7. Ryan. It's no help to you now but the next time an Allen bolt is wanting to strip out get a torx bit and hammer it into the socket. That along with a good hand impact driver has saved my bacon a few times.
  8. http://www.google.com/search?q=honda+cam+tensioner+failure&ei=msh1UfqsBoKwrQG3uICQCg&start=0&sa=N&biw=480&bih=268 A different brand of oil is not going to help your problem. Honda has a problem making a tensioners that are not failure prone. I think it would be wise to change it. Another forum member with a VFR just changed his because of failure.
  9. Have used it for many years. Even before it was JASO-MA certified. Gold Wing Buddies in the 200k range with no issues. My cars usually don't leave the family till 200k. No issues. My zero turn mower is about the only thing I won't use it in. It uses about a pint every cutting. More to do with the multi weight aspect than the oil. Went back to Chevron Delo 30w and it is happy. Delo 400 is a very good non synthetic oil. Our trucks at work go about a million 2-3k before retirement with no issues. http://www.shell.com/rotella/promotions/t6-spring-promotion.html
  10. Glad I could help. Sometimes I get lucky. Anytime.

  12. http://totalruckus.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=16406 You can tour on anything as long as you have the desire and don't expect more out of the machine than it is able to provide.Riding to California on a 250 Ninja taking Interstate 80 is possible but would be a brutal experience.Taking the back roads of America would be a lot more fun.Destination and how much time you have will limit bike size more than the size of the bike determining the destination. This guy had a blast on 49cc.This is just a little part of his journey. He started in North Carolina.
  13. Used them once in the Super Hawk when a shop failed to balance a set. Never had any issues at speed and they seemed to work. The only thing that I did notice toward the end of the tires life was a slight bounce from the front slowing down and coasting thru 25-35 MPH. Oh yea. Pauly gave that WTF look when he broke them down and they went all over the floor. I would only use them again if I had balance issues after the tires were on the bike for awhile.
  14. Just take this into consideration if you decide to shorten them. At stock length you have to have a minimum number of links in the chains when hitched. Shortening may require longer chains. Turn left and the distance shortens on the left and lengthens on the right. If your chains are too short bad things can happen. Sag with it all hitched up should be about an inch.
  15. Pretty good season opener for me. Nice to see some old faces and meet a couple new ones. Thanks for towing the old man around. Had a good time. Doc. You are no longer allowed to call the pace of a ride. Just sayin.
  16. Sorry to here that Jeff. Hope it clears soon.Miss that loud ass Harley.
  17. Ok Bubbies-------Lets do this. I'm in.

  21. Gay Mongolian goat ropers
  22. Nice to see you guys finally were able to get out for a ride. Would have joined but had a 700 mile bonsai run to take grand kids home. Vids play fine on my iPad. Holy sham wow! If your shifter would have been a slapchop. You would have had a lot of tuna salad.
  23. I am becoming somewhat leary of said tractor driver. Every tire that he has mounted for me has worn out or is about to. With that said I will be back. For just to watch him fondle the No-Mar machine is pure wiener tinglement. Good guy and good work. Give him the business .

  25. For sure. So far there are 3 VFR's.
