I'll probably go over to the Marathon in Hartville tomorrow and pick up $30-$40 worth of lottery tickets. I don't like paying the stupid tax but that's a lot of dough.
I have a um222 chip coming in the mail to help alleviate some of the running issues with my Duc and hope to have it installed before Sunday. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to ride on Sunday.
Those look fantastic! I asked Chris about the 748/916/996 risers and he said they're out of stock. I'm probably going to wait for the next batch vs. going with something else.
PM sent! I'm just down the road from the Sheetz, maybe 2 miles so if you want to meet up closer to Massillon, it's your call. Now, if the mist would just clear out, it might turn into a decent day for a ride.
Guns are cool, props for the recommendation, hollywood. Northern Ohio Ducati and Triumph is the one I found locally but dealerships, well, they're not high on my list of go-to places. It's looking like Pauly is the go-to place - thanks, everyone.
I need to get my Duc 748/996 looked at and aside from the dealership up in Akron, are there any capable independent shops in the area? Belts are 2 years old, it dies in cooler temps before warming up too much for my liking, backfires, sputters below 3500 rpm's. All of the running issues seem to be typical of the 748/996's but I haven't been able to find a um222 chip for it to help it run better.
Congrats! I remember my first ride off post in Monmouth, NJ in 1987 - it was scary but thrilling, too. Eventually, it became comfortable and I also found someone to ride with while I had my permit before taking the license test at the DMV.
