I have a um222 chip coming in the mail to help alleviate some of the running issues with my Duc and hope to have it installed before Sunday. If all goes according to plan, I should be able to ride on Sunday.

Those look fantastic! I asked Chris about the 748/916/996 risers and he said they're out of stock. I'm probably going to wait for the next batch vs. going with something else.

The extended forecast has it mild, partly cloudy, and around 60'ish next Sunday so here's hoping nothing pops up to cancel the ride.

How much lift did you put on it? 6" should have been sufficient to clear 35's and give it the right look?

I need to get my Duc 748/996 looked at and aside from the dealership up in Akron, are there any capable independent shops in the area? Belts are 2 years old, it dies in cooler temps before warming up too much for my liking, backfires, sputters below 3500 rpm's. All of the running issues seem to be typical of the 748/996's but I haven't been able to find a um222 chip for it to help it run better.

Congrats! I remember my first ride off post in Monmouth, NJ in 1987 - it was scary but thrilling, too. Eventually, it became comfortable and I also found someone to ride with while I had my permit before taking the license test at the DMV.

I've been thinking about getting an SV to compliment the Duc. Nice score and I definitely like the non-S look.
