  1. I have not cut back at all. I've just continued being a cheap bastard like before the recession.
  2. If both gave the same number... that is hellasciously suspicious. I wouldn't bother contacting them.
  3. I would buy one if I wasn't such a cheap bastard. Not really sure how comfortable I would be reading on it also.
  4. Yeah could have been worded better. I was thinking that it meant a light that was constantly yellow, not intermediately yellow between green and red.
  5. 19/20 Missed the steady yellow light. I have never seen one in Ohio.
  6. General Electric, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, United States Department of Energy High tech, making shit go fast or explode.
  7. 2007. If you get 2003 you'll get really pissed off when you can't open a 2007 (.docx, .xlsx, etc.) file.
  8. He asked what it is worth to me. Not what the real math is. Most people value their time, especially their time spent not working. Also I could definitely use that time with my hourly rate if the time spent walking prevented me from working overtime (and use 1.5 hourly rate). Anyway I figure it costs me $18.67/day of real money. Loan payment (until next month) plus insurance, plus gasoline, plus maintenance guesstimate.
  9. Mess around with the refresh rate. You may find one where the lines disappear.
  10. My car pays me $77 when you figure out how much time I would be wasting walking to work. Figured with my hourly wage times the amount of time it would take me to walk minus the time it takes to drive.

    John Glenn

First American to orbit, not first in space.
  12. It's not a stealth aircraft.
  13. I don't like the styling. Looks like someone slapped a ferrari kit on a C6. The.. wings.. look like ears and look really stupid.
  14. I thought that the 3 felt bigger on the inside than a 6. At least in the front seats. I also agree that the turning radius sucks, car has a very heavy feel and can't get out of its own way.
  15. Yeah realize now I misspoke about the profit margin... otherwise they would never offer the free refills. Dyslexic brain fart thing happened. Other points stand though.
  16. They lose money on this single transaction. Money is made from anything else you might buy with this deal and repeated visits, word of mouth you may spread about the visit or how tasty the sandwich is, etc. Soda is probably the lowest profit margin item on the menu.
  17. I would drive the shit out of it. But wouldn't ever buy one. I'm more excited hoping more manufacturers will follow with cheap, lightweight, RWD coupes. Edit: Err... that thing put on some weight from what I remember... 3400lbs base, eww.
  18. How much had you overclocked it?
  19. What? Why? They stop ass-jarring bumps... duh. Next thing you know you'll be saying sparkplugs are bad because they keep sparks from flying out of your engine.
  20. The reason is that they don't want you to spend more of their money (because of this slow economy, how over-extended they are). The credit card company fronts the bill when you use their card; they are out of money until you pay the balance. Raising rates, lowering credit limits is a deterrent against you spending more of their money and an incentive for you to pay any balance back faster.
  21. Just a roadside emergency kit that has flares, jumper cables, tools, etc.
  22. No accidents. Well while parking I did "tap" some dumbass's 2 foot long trailer hitch at about 0.25 mph. Just put a small dent in my front license plate.
