  1. The scary thing about zombie movies was that the people still living are actually more dangerous than the undead, which is frightening because it is a likely portrayal of how society would react.
  2. That is just the standard GM plastic. The fun times are when plastic components of the cooling system melt and dump coolant out.
  3. Huh, yeah it is a blanket ban on 31+ but only applies to centerfire. Carry on.
  4. Ohio is included in that. Have fun.
  5. Fuck that shit. Even if they apologized for Pearl Harbor. And it is more like 0.1% that you see on TV - Japan has a lot of people. The average Japanese woman is not too attractive in my opinion.
  6. I had it when I was younger. It was very mild though. I stopped chewing gum which might be why it went away, it is not noticeable anymore.

    Inception

I kind of thought that it was how The Matrix sequels should have been made - with the multiple nested realities idea. Really enjoyed this movie.
  8. If you're over 800, try for the PenFed card. 5% cash back at any gas station, 2% groceries and 1% everywhere else.
  9. Filing the disputes is what she should do. Also look over the reports for anything else negative. As an additional heads-up though, that refinancing later idea won't work unless she puts a decent initial downpayment on the car.
  10. I found An Inconvenient Truth to be a surefire way of curing insomnia.
  11. I'm bored so I'll take a bite: If shtf , do we as a group have knit infrastructure to combat? What is that combat? Killings and force or negotiations? Wheres your food and water? I don't really understand this question. I would imagine it would depend on the severity of the SHTF event. The more severe, the greater the propensity towards violence. Are we doing enough standing idle? Apparently as there have been few if any successful attacks. However becoming complacent and relaxing our guard is dangerous. Is our power grid being protected 24/7 by the national gaurd? I don't think so. Would that cause too much unrest like the rerunning of 911 footage on major media networks? Possibly, for simple-minded people. Who really is the enemy? Are you the enemy? Are you the enemy of yourself? Those that pose a real threat to cause us harm physically, economically, culturally (restricting freedom, etc.). The last line is interesting, I would say there is some degree to that in our society today. Think of the over-reaction that happened in Boston with the Aqua Teen Hunger Force signs. Paranoia like that can be very hurtful to the liberty our nation was founded on and enjoys. Is it really get in where you fit in? What disturbances cause people in enforcement to enforce laws? On the top at the SEC what gets overlooked? Disturbances that cause harm to the wealthy, directly or indirectly. The same is true for what the SEC will overlook; if it doesn't harm the wealthy elite, or not have that much of a wide impact, the SEC isn't going to be that inclined to take action. Is psychological racism worse than physical racism? No, not any worse. What happened to the space program? Was the moon landing real or fake? The USSR couldn't keep up with our program. When the USSR broke up, our program lacked the reason to continue at the same rate of advancement. The moon landing was real. Who is really in power and why does it matter anyone care? The wealthy and the bankers. It matters because your freedom could be restricted, and your life's potential. In the end what does it all boil down too? This is a highly individual question and depends on your values and religious views. For me, I would say ensuring happiness for me and my family. If you were good and others were bad , very bad , yet you still took the blame and hatred , would the world still turn? Yes. Do you look at pictures of bodies from war after eating or during? Yes. Thanks to the internet I am very desensitized. Is gold really more stable than paper currency. Not really, when compared to the currency of stable governments. Gold generally has value as a display of wealth, which is a luxury. If things really went down hill, to where people were only pursuing necessities; gold would have very little value to anyone. Commodities would be much more likely used as currency. Is electricity the furure of all of the greatist and most important things know and could be know to life as a human being? No. Is the middle class the new poor? The distinction is being blurred. I think a large part of the problem is just due to people trying to live beyond their means, trying to display they are better than their neighbors, etc. The result is that they become "poor". Are the poor the new rich? Interesting question. If you consider effort spent and how comfortable of a life people live, this question has some merit. The quality of life, compared to how much effort (work) is expended, that some poor people live today would be considered a rich lifestyle if it were transplanted back 50+ years ago. Thanks is owed to welfare programs. Will a rich man go poor? Depends on the scenario. Many (most) poor people that win the lottery end up becoming poor again due to mismanaging their wealth. Drive and financial sense have the greatest impacts on whether someone is poor or rich. Are latino women really the most attractive? Not to me. I generally am not as attracted to latino women compared to other races. What percentage is my spelling correct? >90%
  12. That was a damned if you do, damned if you don't experiment. What a crock of shit.
  13. You guys didn't build block shooting guns with your Legos? Granted, I never built anything as complex or powerful. This does make me wish I still had some Legos to fool around with.
  14. Update: Sold. Thanks Renob, hope they work for you.
  15. That student then goes to another school. It is depriving USC of that athlete's talent which some other school will pick up. Only harms the student if they were dead-set on going to USC.
  16. Yeah I know. If the gun didn't feed hollowpoints I would be doing so. I don't consider the effort worth doing just to shoot these rounds. I never meant to buy them, and I would not have if I knew they were flat nose. So why did I? I went to Vance's and asked for the Federal American Eagle 230gr FMJ advertised on sale, they said they were out but had Winchesters that "were the same thing" for the same price, so I said sure figuring they were 230gr FMJ ball ammunition. Not going to be buying ammunition at a place I can't pick out and choose myself from now on.
  17. Why don't they feed? The flat part of the bullet catches on the feed ramp dead-on straight, preventing the round from tilting up and sliding into the chamber. This happens with my gun but not my friend's 1911. It may be a magazine issue, I'm not really sure. Sale pending, but like I said above not until the end of the week.
  18. I can't say. My friend's PT1911 has choked on hollowpoints before, and my Springfield has ate every hollowpoint I've tried. Yet these flat noses fed okay in the Taurus and choke in my Springfield. Oh and I know they feed and work fine in the Taurus because I had bought 4 boxes. I traded him 1 box for a box of ball American Eagles he had. The 3 boxes I have are complete and contain all 150 rounds.
  19. Ha I love that fugitive question on the form and I know there has probably been some dumbass to answer yes to it.
  20. If I am a fugitive from the law, can I buy a firearm?
  21. My point was that the original post was ignoring the the installation. Feats of engineering can have several factors that contribute to them being feats, the design, the fabrication, the construction, the installation, etc. Considering the blocks of the Great Pyramid, just a single block isn't all that hugely impressive, but all of them stacked together so precisely is astoundingly impressive. Granted the pyramids and this steel pipe thing are no where near being on the same level of impressiveness of being engineering marvels. I was pointing out, though, that the fallacy was in overlooking the installation and only considering the design.
  22. By the same logic you can just claim that the great pyramid is just a bunch of blocks stacked together. It was the stacking of those blocks that makes the pyramid great; it is the installation of the containment pipe (5000ft below the gulf surface) that makes it great
  23. Well I don't know of another indoor range close to Targetworld so it's about the only indoor option. There are probably some private clubs with ranges around but I haven't joined any. Targetworld's range capacity (number of lanes) is smaller than Blackwing and only allows pistol ammunition. It does have a 75ft range though. For prices, a membership at Targetworld will be cheaper than shooting at Blackwing. As a non-member, if you shoot more than an hour at a time you'll pay more than if you shot at Blackwing. However, ammo if you buy it there is generally cheaper than Blackwing (not cheap though). Their prices on most firearms and other "gear" are reasonable, though. Nearly competitive with Vance's. Cheap place I've found to buy ammunition is OneShot, over on the east side of Cincinnati. They have cheap 1911s and Sigs at OneShot also, but their M&Ps are stupid overpriced. XDs I noticed are cheaper than at Vance's.
  24. He never tried an M&P due to the DAO or just not getting around to it. Though if he liked the Glock there shouldn't be much difference with regards to the trigger pull.
