Wondering if there's anyway this guy did tune my quad, and locked the new map in the position 2 spot? And the so called base map from PC site was left in position 1. Without a toggle switch I don't have the option to view or load a second map, but that don't mean he didn't? IDK how to hook the switch up for sure to check, but just beating my head against the wall. It would be so easy if he could just e-mail me the pvm file. And all the bs about not being able to send it makes me wonder if he truly has it. I don't have the time to load trailer and quad and make the 45 mile drive this week. And if it's a wasted trip when and if I do make the trip, I'm sure it wont end well. Any tips on toggling the map switch be nice!

OMG! I can't keep up with the excuses or story's. This mourning around 10am jeff@extremtecatv.com calls me and tell's me he received my e-mail and can't open it either? I said the e-mail or attachment, he replied attachment. I told him that it's just a pvm file for the power commander. He said yeah my computer says unable to open file? And he said same thing as when I tried to send your file to you? Hell last I recall he told me it exceeded the file size limit? We went back and forth for awhile. I told him who gives a shit if your pc can open file or not just send it to me. And then he said no internet on dyno pc. And he wasn't going to install the PC s/ware on his business PC? Then after a few more mins of BS he tells me he's starting to wonder about me? Because when I asked about securing my quad while there for service, I told him about my deal @MJUSA. So he says he's not sure about me 1st my quad gets stolen and now my map disappears, wtf Like yeah I planned my quad to get stolen, then my map, because I'm just board.. After this I told him "your wondering about me?" I wondering about you, first you tell me DTM maps was so far off it to forever to tune, then you said you used the base map off PC site, after I told you that's all I had on my unit. Then you say you can't send map because of file size limit, now you say your internet pc wont open it? Then he rants and more or less blames all my issues, "no oil, cam & rocker wear" on the DTM tune. And goes back to saying I don't see what the problem is, you said the quad was running good, so why worry about what maps in it! OMG I told him I didn't have a O2 sensor up my ass when I ride the quad, and if I could tell the %'s of fuel air ratio's by the seat of my pants, I wouldn't need a dyno! He told me he would try to research why he cant send/open files on his end. And in the meantime I could bring the quad back up there, cause that's the only way he has to load the map back on it. I asked cant I just bring a flash drive? He said no way to put it there, from his dyno PC. I said well damn are you not using a usb port to connect to my PC from your dyno pc? And I think he ran out of excuses, because he then started ranting about a broken bone, and to be honest he had more to worry about than my tune! .

I still have my map from DTM. Unfortunately so does extreme tec, cause he pulled the map from my pcv. Like I said before he practically read me his tune notes word for word, saying that's what he changed the fmf slip on notes too. And yes Brian has nothing to hide, he will explain everything to you. Ask you questions, like how high do you want me to rev it. He spent some time tuning my quad last year, I just wish it would have been running right at the time.

Yeah I'm trying to remain calm and give him the benefit of doubt. But it's really not looking good. Needless to say there has been no contact or reply from him since the 8:40am call. I'm waiting for him to say the file was lost, while trying to transfer and he has no backup. Also he's asked me how it's running, and responded if it's running good it really don't matter what map is in it! I wish I could of captured some of our calls on a recording.

So this mourning at 8:40 I receive a call from Jeff@extremetecatv.com Explaing to me that his e-mail didn't send the file or files? And came back with a error "exceeding file size limit" I responded with really cause those files are pretty small as I recall. And he then goes on to tell me that he was wanting to send me all the data he had, from each and every run it did on the dyno. I swear he said 3 runs, but idk? And then he mentions that it was only turning 32 hp on the 1st pull, because the DTM map was so rich. So I figured by now if he has all this info, I'd ask again what hp did it turn on final map? Again he reply's idk but I do know the torque was 52! So he ask me to e-mail him and then he will just reply to my e-mail with attachments. So I'm really confused, is it a file size error or you didn't know my e-mail? So I play along and send him a e-mail before 9am, And you probably already guessed I haven't received squat from him! I sent out another e-mail a few mins ago, I will just paste below. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hey still no e-mail from your end? I just looked at the files from power commander's site, and there really small like I thought 1-3kb is all. I know you said you were trying to send all the data, and received a error exceeding files size limit from your e-mail. I would love all the data, but if your still unable to send it all in an e-mail perhaps you could burn it to cd or dvd depending on file size and mail it out. And in the mean time just e-mail me the final map file *.pvm. Or at least a e-mail letting me know what's going on, I know your busy and deal with a lot of customers and quads and I appreciate your time in handling this issue for me. Honestly when my software retrieved the map file it was identical to the one I attached M16-004-004.pvm Thanks for your Help M*****_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Well when Brian tuned my quad, it was literally eating the intake rocker. So I'm sure it through the numbers off. Plus the cam went from stage 3 to stock. But yeah guy is full of shit for sure. I just have serious dumb fucking luck, with about ever encounter I have purchasing or hiring out stuff.
-
thx, but I will either go back to Brian or take it to New Lexington Oh. Smocks performance. It's just bs from extreme tec, hell in 3 mins I could swap some #'s around and delete & add some tune notes to d/loaded map and email out. But Jeff didn't even bother to do that. He just told me yep it sent, check your spam box. So It's obvious to me at this point my quad never seen his dyno. And to think i was happy with the original bill, paying that much now, knowing all he did was picked a random map off of the power commander site and sent it to my pcv. That's like a few mins of work at best, and he told me it was on dyno for several hours getting Brian's map right. Then his story today was he installed the fmf slip on map as a base map, and tweaked it. He did swap out my cam and install a new rocker, and cleared oil passages. Extreme tec is making money hand over fist from what I seen, but it's real BS my quad was there for 4 weeks, and never even seen the dyno. I guess he's just to busy to do all the work, and only dyno's the race quads or repeat customers maybe? I knew it didn't seem right or feel right, when I picked it up and asked him what kinda #'s he got out of it, and he replied Idk I didn't even pay attention!

Called and talked with Jeff several times today. He assures me he tuned my quad, but admitted the d/loaded map from power commander site #*-004 is what he used for a base map! And he said if I compared the values they would be different. (at this point I compared values, it's the same map) I asked well wouldn't you save the map file under a different name, and delete the tune notes and enter your own? He claimed he did, and almost word for word read me back the notes from the tune I got at DTM!!! He said he'd e-mail me the file, 3 hours later I call back because no e-mail. He rattles off my e-mail and tells me yep it sent on my end, check your spam box. Hell I did that before I called him. Just my typical luck of getting screwed. Maybe I will just hook back up with Brian and put it back on the huge car roller. At least then I'd get a print out, and a file I can pull for real off the programmer, with it's own name.

Sounds good, next weekend I'm going to West Virginia for the Memorial Day 10 mile mud bog's!

most likely this weekend, with the son on the 200. I think looking at weather we will do Sunday, and stick to the Main corridor and the New Straitsville loop. maybe some of Camp Ohio,

Okay so by now I've had a few rides on the quad, did some maintenance ect. Decided tonight was a good day to hook the laptop up to the power commander, to save my map to computer. And now I'm a tad upset, and feel that Jeff rip me off! I may be wrong but I see no custom tune what so ever! All it had loaded was a d/loaded tune from the power commander site, for my quad. map # 16-004-004 which is for a FMF slip on with some mods. I plan on calling them tomorrow and see what he has to say. I specifically wanted the quad custom tuned. And when I picked it up I asked him about the hp and tq #'s he said he didn't pay any attention, just to the fuel/air mixtures. And he said he didn't do a print out sheet. So I then asked about a copy of the map, and he said just hook it up and save the map, and that it's a good idea because he only keeps them there for 6 months. So at this point I'm not so sure my quad ever say the dyno!!!

May 2nd 2015 Wayne National Forest (main video)Two 700xx's and a 660r. We ran around 70 miles of trails! No mishaps, but I almost went over the bars the 1st hour or so there. I was leading the pack high 3rd gear aprox. 35 mph. Came around a curve under the 33 bypass bridge by P1. And a drain line came loose and washed a good part of the trail out. I was going to fast to throttle up and raise the front end over, so I stabbed the breaks and the front end slid down in the ditch. I stopped but had my belly well over the bars, and was told rear tires were at least 3 ft in the air! This is not on video, it would just be a close up of the trail if it was. The 660r did require a lot of on the trail maintenance, but never stop running.

Dirty trailer video with 1 Yamaha & 2 Honda's. main video to follow.

Yeah that must of been them. I'm planning on going back in 2 weeks, and taking my 12yr old. We will probably stay up north mainly on the New Straitsvile Loop, and the main corridor area.

I think we seen Blake heading out of Williams, riding with a banshee? The Dirt bike guy couldn't get his bike out of his brother's shed, so he road a 660 Yamaha 4 wheeler. We rode just over 70 miles! Trails were a lot nicer last Sunday, as yesterday was pretty dusty.
-
Idk Jimbo what's he ride? Blake has the yellow Honda utility right?
-
Will be great weather for that as well.

Anyone riding this Saturday? I will be down with another xx, and possibly a 450 Kawasaki rider.

Me too! I did have a slight oil leak last season after half ass rebuild. So when I changed my oil, I decided to pull oil return line and check o-ring. Well it looked ok so I just put it back in. Sunday I lost 1/2 qt. of oil. So I looked up schematic, and found O-ring was wrong size. Replaced, topped of oil and appears to be okay now. I hope the supply line don't leak, because to access it I'd have to remove front bumper and the main skid plate.

Well last time I was there was last May, and it was the same old trail. It really sucks they manicured it so well, that's why people ride the pipeline's still!
-
I'm sure you do, but it's the big rock that there's barely enough room to get by on the trail. As you can see were on top of it, not down on the trail, there's a trail cut in behind there and the crack rock is there as well. . Thanks! lol yeah that's it! We road around 50 miles and took 12 pictures! I should have a video or two up sometime in the future.
