  1. I bought a car there about 4 or 5 years ago. They told me there was no negotiating on the price, but that could have been due to the car (19k mile bone stock SRT-4) or the fact that I was 20 years old and they smelled a sucker. The salesman I dealt with was Shawn Fagrave (sp?) and he was a douche, but everyone else was real nice and kept offering water or snacks. A year or so after that I went back with my wife who was then my girlfriend to look for a car for her. Shawn came out, didn't remember me at all, and again acted like a flaming douche not knowing shit about any of the cars we asked about. I wouldn't have a problem dealing with them again, my SRT was a super clean 1 owner car that never gave me any problems. Just avoid Shawn at all costs, you'll recognize him before he introduces himself I'm sure.
  2. Thanks, that's the next step. If I didn't have so many instances lately that I needed a truck, there's no way I consider getting rid of this car. It's hard enough to find a rust free, unmolested hatch these days, let alone a DAP car. Originally I planned on hanging onto it until mid-summer because I predict it'll be a gold mine then, but the fact is I need a truck now. It's at a great point right now for the next owner. Either put the stock springs back on and some hubcaps and enjoy a clean stock gas sipper Civic, or put some legit wheels on it and throw a budget turbo kit on and have a really fun daily that still knocks out great gas milage but looks good and has a little bit of balls.
  3. The Apache, I'm wanting a 2wd truck. I've never needed to tow anything, just haul around smaller things, and when it comes to trucks I'm more of a low and slow kinda guy. I'm sure I could raise plenty of hell on that Raptor, but I don't have a truck to haul it in! Lol h22 yo, thanks for the input. I was surprised at how quiet it was when I put it on. It's definitely quieter than the stock exhaust was, but it had a huge leak in it right under the front floorboard so that certainly didn't help matters. I cut the front flange off of the Apex'i and welded on the flange from the stock pipe with a reducer so it'd bolt up directly, but I still have the piece that was cut off of the Apex'i. With the exhaust and new Walbro, this baby is ready for a turbo kit.
  4. Not looking to trade for another fwd car. I just need a truck to haul all the car parts and house junk I deal with. Even though the Civic could haul more junk, I wouldn't mind getting another Mustang just for a daily. Lol I just have this listed on here and 2 other local forums right now. If it's not traded or sold in about a month I'll probably put the stock springs back in, paint the steelies black, and put some OEM hubcaps on so it's basically all stock then list it on Craigslist. The catback that's on it is actually really quiet. It's the WP2 or whatever it's called, not the N1.
  5. Contact Info: Alex McWilliams Wellston, OH Reply here or PM me Quick Info: 1997 Honda Civic DX hatchback - 3500 OBO Item Description: Just throwing this out there for now fishing for trade offers really, not sure I want to get rid of it yet. What I have here is a completely rust free 1997 Civic hatchback. It's a factory Dark Amethyst Pearl car, and doesn't appear to have ever had any paintwork. Stock D16Y7 and a factory 5 speed, no mods other than the catback because the stock midpipe was cobbled. The body is straight minus a few tiny parking lot dings, the only real damage on the car is on the hood near the driver's side headlight. It has 143k original miles (cluster says around 97k, the orginal cluster's speedo needle started at 40 instead of 0 so I replaced it, but I still have it). Within the last 2 months or so and less than 1000 miles it's had the following added or replaced: -OEM style black housing headlights -Type R style front lip -Apex'i catback -eBay coilover sleeves -new spark plugs -new alternator -new Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump -new fuel filter (ran a bottle of injector cleaner through at this time also) -new air filter I still have the stock springs and exhaust that will go with it. The car runs and drives great, easily gets 40 mpg. Occasionally it'll have a random stumble if it's under a load at low RPM's, I replaced most of the above attempting to solve that, but it hasn't quit yet. I've been driving it daily for months that way and have adapted to it since it doesn't happen often, I think I'll replace the plug wires and/or crank position sensor next. It has a CD player and aftermarket speakers in the doors and deck, nothing special but they all work. Heat works awesome, air needs recharged which will happen soon. When I turn the a/c on the air gets cooler, but not much, it hasn't gotten hot enough to make me want to recharge it yet honestly. Only other issue besides the random stumble is the driver's window rolls down fine but pops off track when rolled back up. It's another thing I haven't really looked into, I just took the door panel off and held it in the track to roll it up completely then put the panel back and left it alone. Could be something real simple. Basically this is just my work/runaround unit. I have about an 8 mile drive to work, so I really don't need a gas sipper, and being a car guy and homeowner without a truck to haul my junk around in really sucks. As mentioned above, I'm more interested in trades then selling outright. What I'm looking for in trade: -Any newer truck. Prefer a full-size single cab short bed auto, but will consider anything. -'87-'98 Mustang GT. Prefer close to stock, auto or manual doesn't matter. -Will also consider clean SUV's. Not looking for any other fwd car. I'll just keep this jewel if I can't get a decent trade for one of the above. Won't be able to put much cash with the car, but it's a slight possibility. I've got some random car parts and whatnot in the garage that are worth decent money I could let go with it though. Here are a few pics I have on my phone. Next chance I get I'll clean it up for current exterior and interior pics. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/d4d14b93.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/944cb225.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/fa74dfa5.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/634ade92.jpg Should be noted the car was pretty dirty in these pics. It's not perfect, but it does clean up very nicely.
  6. Like a boss. If you guys ever see an ambulance like this at the Horseshoe painted silver and red and all pimped out inside, I painted that unit.
  7. I had a Mac Prochamber and Mac 3" catback on mine and thought it sounded perfect. Nice and deep, no drone, not too crazy through town but made plenty of noise wide open. That's funny about why you chose the Cobra. My wife has been talking about having a baby constantly for the last few months, so I figured I better get my two seated out of the way while I can. In about a year when there's a mini-me around I figure I'll replace the Z06 with another Terminator or a new 5.0.
  8. Also, if you're 28, you won this as an infant?
  9. Holy shit. That is a bad mother fucker.

  11. The reservoir was probably removed and sold with the controller. Judging by what the car does have, I'd say it had more that was parted out before it was auctioned. I would definitely suspect a ported blower though due to the fact that it's painted, upper/lower, and some type of intake from the engine bay pics. Wheels aren't the correct 10th Anniversary wheels, but all the interior pieces appear to be there. Looks to be lowered, solid rear is obvious, possibly a gear since a solid axle was added. Looks like a clean car, what's the milage?
  12. Foxbody. Buy a 2.3 car with a solid body needing some tlc, none of the drivetrain will be used anyway so none of that is a concern. Parts are everywhere for the chassis, new and used, same for the LSx drivetrain that'll be used. You end up with a solid and proven drivetrain in a solid and proven chassis. Win.
  13. I spent a couple hours reading it at work yesterday and finished it today. One of the better forum threads I've ever seen, the kid's posts were unbelievable and the Ownage was plenty. Lol

  15. My stomach hurts from loling at the Donal ones, I've never seen them before.
  16. That seems like a really nice car for the price. Add a cam and that'd be one bad unit!
  17. I'd suggest a base 05-06 C6 over a C5Z then just based on the interior alone and the amount of time you'll be spending in it. I hate the interior on my C5, feels like I'm driving a Grand Prix when I take it out. lol There isn't really any big issues to look out for on C6's. I see you're already searching corvetteforum, which is you're best source for good deals on enthusiast owned vettes. It's pretty much common sense on them. The ones with a decent amount of performance mods tend to be owned by younger guys who have enjoyed them so they may have a few rock chips here and there and more miles but are reasonably priced, and the lower milage stock ones are the geezers who treat them more like a show car than a driver, but they are usually overpriced. I'd suggest deciding what you'd like to do to one if you get one, then look for one that already has most of the stuff done. Aftermarket stuff for them is expensive after the Corvette tax is added in, so if you have to pay just a bit more for one that already has what you're planning on doing it's well worth it.
  18. What are your plans for the next car? (DD, weekend cruiser, any racing?)
  19. ^^LMFAOOOO *Edit - Intended for Mr. Tim Taylor's video.
  20. Definitely a nice upgrade. I kinda wish I would've gone with a base C6, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on my C5Z. Congrats on the purchase!
  21. Call first, I got mine at Autozone and they had to order them in but they were there the next day.
  22. Unless you're at the waffle house. :masturboy:
  23. It doesn't mean shit unless Sam is with you.
  24. You're right, it's only going to keep going up in value this summer. It has some tasteful mods but is mechanically stock so it'll have a broad market too. I pm'd you, but I'm not expecting anything. Lol
