  1. Pics of said friend will help determine whether $500 was a reasonable quote or not.
  2. Why was the B pillar cut and welded on? Looks like the door gap is a bit funky on that side as well, was it hit there or something? Also, how is the HVAC panel? I'd really like to have this, but it wouldn't be practical at all for me as a daily. I miss my old '88 Si, which come to find out had Euro/JDM tail lights on it according to your pics. I didn't know that during my ownership. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/mcwilliams1/CRX038.jpg

    Ryan Dunn = Dead

Yes, a little more time spent around the area where the hood (trunk?) meets the background would've been much more convincing. People are just lazy these days.

    Ryan Dunn = Dead

That's obviously photoshopped, his car was a black GT3...
  5. How many years ago was it when it was redone? Looks like it'd be a fun, good looking car with a bit of work.
  6. No. They're all just generic canned tunes that you tell them your mods and they spend 10 minutes to go through their files and find a car they've tuned that has the same or similar mods, you load it into your car and you're done. Sure, you'll probably see an improvement with that, but every car/engine combination is different and likes different things in the tune. Spending the money to have a reputable local shop strap the car to the dyno and tune your car hands on is the best thing you can do. It'll make more power and be safer than a mail order tune, you'll have dyno numbers, and you'll more than likely make a connection with a knowledgable tuner who will give you advice on what to do next as opposed to "thanks for your order, here's your tune".
  7. Don't spend any money on another handheld tuner with a canned tune on it. Do exactly what MReBusa said and lose the cats with an off-road x-pipe and get a legit tune catered to your specific car. It'll sound much better and you'll see a lot more gain in power than anything on your list would provide.
  8. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-parts-for-sale-wanted/2834469-ccw-drag-pack-for-sale-greensboro-nc.html He was wanting $1825 plus shipping, looks like they recently sold though. They weren't marked sold when I was looking at them over the weekend.
  9. Shiiiiiiiiiit. I don't need this I don't need this I don't need this I don't need this...
  10. If they were a drag pack in any finish, I'd be keeping them. There's a polished drag pack on corvetteforum right now in NC, I'll be going to the beach at the end of July and I'm thinking if they're still available then I'll see if he wants to trade. They're not worth as much, but they look killer.

No, the local police confirmed a little bit ago that when they arrived he was in the driver's seat.

    Ryan Dunn = Dead

It does seem to be pretty cut and dry, but I just saw on Jalopnik that somebody said the Twitter picture is being said to have actually been from a couple nights ago that was taken at a fundraiser or something. Who knows. The Porsche did look pretty killer though. :gabe:
  13. This. My wife bought an '08 Wolfsburg off the showroom floor from them a few years ago, and every time we took it in for service it just got worse and worse. Every time we took it there we would wait for it since we live nearly an hour and a half away, and they never seemed to grasp that concept. It became normal for them to take 3 hours or more for a standard service (oil change and check everything over). One of the last times we went, it was a standard service, our appointment was at 9 am, and we weren't even acknowledged until noon, which is when the service manager told us that the technician was going to stay over a bit to get out car done. Apparently 4 hours isn't long enough to change the oil in a Jetta? We ended up trading it in for an '06 BMW 330xi and I serviced it myself at home, but we recently traded it in for a new Jeep Liberty. I know this is about the service department, but their used car lot has some douche salesman as well. The new lot seemed to be good people, we dealt with Lonnie Tibbs and he was great. I can't remember the guy's name that we dealt with for the BMW, but he was a complete douche brotato.

    Ryan Dunn = Dead

TMZ just updated that Ryan was the driver, still no details on the passenger.

    Ryan Dunn = Dead

Definitely my favorite of the bunch... As for the ignorance in here, how about waiting for some details before getting all high and mighty. Maybe, because he was drunk, a sober friend convinced him to let him drive his 911 and crashed? Maybe the picture taken a few hours prior was the only drink he had the entire night and he had sobered up before getting behind the wheel? Maybe the car randomly caught fire while driving home and he freaked out and crashed? While all of those scenarios are extremely unlikely, you don't know if any of them are false because the investigations are just now starting. Well, we know the last scenario isn't true because it was a Porsche and not a Ferrari... In one way or another, yes he was at fault for his death in some way, but damn let it go.
  16. Why do they have to be factory? As mentioned above, American Racing and Diamond Racing both probably have a fairly wide 13" wheel that's very affordable.
  17. CCWs for sale or trade here folks
  18. Wish I would've known about this sooner. Do they do this frequently there?
  19. No clue to be honest. I'll try to measure it sometime soon though. I asked the previous owner for the specs on them and his response was "no clue, I had so many sets around at the time I couldn't tell you which ones those were.", poor bastard. I'd let anybody willing to come to my place bolt em up on their car and check out the fitment if they have something I'm interested in trading for.
  20. I'm sure there were at least 10 or more Chargers used in the film. A few to destroy with stunts, a few for close-up shots (like the garage scene you're talking about), and a few for further away shots or interior shots where the overall quality of the car doesn't matter as much. With the way this one looks and the writing on the door, I'd say it was used as a promotional car to show around during the time of the release.
  21. I was shocked to see a big block Mopar engine under the hood, most were small block Chevys.
  22. The only way I see that being true is if he posts updates on here.
