  4. I'm the same way, but with left handers. I'm the same way in a car too, it's just more comfortable?
  5. cyclegear has leather pants on sale for 99.99 I just got mine about 2 weeks ago, I love them. I've never worn pants along with my jacket, boots, helmet and gloves before and it is definitely a big confidence booster.
  6. Bazinga!! Welcome, I'm one of the ones you met also.
  7. Mine did this awhile ago, also not from dropping. Take some windex on a paper towel, and get a small drip to fall on the button. The mash it down in there with the paper towel. It feels like the button is broken but it actually just gets gummed up. The same fix applies to the home button as it will get sticky too. Mine got so bad the only fix was a drop of wd40 in the same manner (sounds like total b.s. but you can google it if you don't believe me lol) Mine works flawlessly now.
  8. I had only had my bike about a month (92 zx7r). Had just turned 18 2 days prior, and passed the safety course the day before (ironic?). I was leaving school, and decided to gas it a little bit in first. Another girl my age cut through some traffic directly in front of me and I grabbed a handful of brake in a panic (the old ass cold dunlops didn't help, but no excuse) it was either plow into her or lay it over. Instead of laying it over it locked the front tire and threw me off, then the bike still slid into her car. I was maybe doing 30. Broken right tibia, lots of rash on my arms and hands, on my right hand it was down in the meat. My knee cap was showing through my pants leg on the leg i broke. I got owned, but I think it made me a much safer rider.
  9. I think the highlight of the evening was meeting Karen! In all seriousness we need to do that much more often (ride, not meet drunk people)
  10. It was a blast! Nice pace and fun roads. One road was shut down sp it threw us off a little, but it was a good time.

  15. Parking lots are your friend. All these tips, if taken to heart, can and will save your life/bike/self. I also think it's a good idea to practice low speed maneuvering...like stuff you do in a parking lot. Know how everyone pulls out in front of you in your car when you head down to good ole Wally World? Way worse on a bike. Also worth mentioning, mostly just because it ticked me off, my friend just got his first bike, a 250 like yours...and on our first ride I just followed him around the neighborhood/backroads. Going around a slow curve he stuck his inside leg out like it was a dirtbike. It's not a dirtbike.
  16. ^+1 I love my pf-9, with the Hogue Handall Jr., it made it a lot more tolerable to fire that first couple hundred rounds for the break in
