Anybody know of any way to contact the Oakwood location? They have two promo banners in their service department that I've been offering to buy for a couple of years and I'd love to get a hold of them. Thanks. Mary

A Monster or a Triple. Probably leaning toward the Monster especially now with the increased HP in the new Monster. Mary

Great starter bike. The SV is also a good choice but it is a tallish bike so maybe not as good for a shorter rider. Mary

That's pretty cool.

My husband and I have owned over 50 bikes and sold almost all of them private party and yes, we have always gotten a wad of cash upfront for any test rides plus license with valid mc endorsement. Back during our racing days, we purchased at least 4 bikes that I can remember with salvage titles on bikes with less than 100 miles on them. We actually bought a Yamaha R6 with like 10 miles on it as the person basically crashed it on his way home from the dealership. Look on any salvage site and you will see this is very common, hence the reason to get all the money up front. You can also give the person the option to have the bike inspected at a dealership instead of a test ride if the person doesn't want to hand over his cash but they would need to pay the inspection fee. Usually $100 to $200 depending on how thorough an inspection they want. Mary

Hmm. 328 looks interesting. I'll have to add that to the list. I agree with drc32-0, some of the roads he listed near hocking are nice. Some are freshly paved as well.

I like 278 especially south of 56 although the other side has some fun stuff too. More sweepers in the lake hope area. Here's a route my husband and I do frequently. Start in Lancaster. 374 south to 56. 56 west to gas station. turnaround and go back on 56. 56 to 356 south. then 50 west to 278 north. At 30, go to 78 and then 685. We turn around on 685 and then go back to 30 and over to 691 south. After that it depends on what hotel we are staying at. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those roads. I'm not familiar with 328 or at least I don't remember it. Mary

Ha! Shouldn't you be riding?

The same arguments and rationale lived when seat belt usage became mandatory. I'm completely shocked that wearing a helmet isn't a federal law already. I've always worn a helmet so this is fine with me. Mary

That does look good. Too bad there aren't any showings near me. I guess I'll wait for the dvd. Thanks for sharing.

Route planning advice OH-78 to Woodsfield, then 26 vs 255-7-260-26???

That sucks. Glad you seem to be ok for the most part. -

The fun part of 550 is between 555 and 377. West of that is ok but there's a stretch by 377 that is just wicked fun. Have a good trip. -

Oh! I have done 537 in the past and that is fun. Short but fun. I like 800. Newer pavement. More of a fast sweeper route than tight. -

I don't care for 555. Never been a favorite of mine. 550 is more fun especially the section just outside of Athens. There's a section there that I would go back forth on all day if I could figure out a way to not get in trouble doing it. 685 is a blast but short. 691 from 33 south to 56 is all new pavement and very nice. 278 near lake hope has some really fast sweepers as does 56 near 691 and 374. 26 had a ton of construction and truck traffic when we went on it in mid October. 255 used to be a blast but I've heard from numerous sources that the road conditions are just plain dangerous. 78 east of Caldwell isn't really that interesting. I'd cut that part out and go up 260 from 26. Mary -
Our Samsung TV's have better picture quality than I've seen with any other brand and we've had no issues with any of them. You need to assess the lighting in your room to make a decision. Plasma TV's are better for designated TV rooms with little or no natural light/windows. There are lcd's out there with LED backlighting which help with bright light conditions. We bought this tv last year and the picture is amazing. Almost too clear. Price is pretty reasonable as well for a mid-level tv. Also has some smart features for getting Netflix, Hulu, amazon prime etc... http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN46F7100AFXZA

Update: Bought an iPad3 from Glyde.com for $241. Just received it a few days ago. Great shape. one small scratch on the back but you have to look for it. Thought I was getting a 16g but ending up with a 32g so bonus! This is the second iPad I've purchased from Glyde and both have been great! Good option if you are looking for used tablets, phones, etc. Mary

Plus, I like the bigger fuel capacity. Hunting around for gas every 80 miles can be a pita as well as downright scary when you are out in the boonies with no stations for miles. Makes planning trips a bit more interesting though.

My husband has this bike and it is a blast to ride. I do like this new version though as well. Nice to see them upping the horsepower and performance.

Very cool.

We have a Kindle Fire, Ipad 2, Ipad mini, two Iphones and and Ipod. We bought our Ipad 2 off of Glyde.com used in excellent shape a few years ago and just purchased an Ipad 3 from them for $250 for my daughter for Christmas. . I'll have it by next week, so I'll let you know if it is in as excellent shape as the 2 we had bought before. The Kindle is great for reading, Amazon shopping and videos but is really lacking in the app department and freezes quite a bit. The Apple products are just much better for kids content and ease of use. Although I get what many of you are saying about Itunes and music sharing, but for younger kids, that is less important than ease of use and content availability. I'm an Apple convert sorry! I can't wait to give my kids my current laptop and get myself a Mac. Good luck with your purchase. I'm sure they will enjoy anything you buy them. Mary BTW. glyde.com sells all brands I believe. Good place to purchase phones as well.

LOL. No just a warning to me. This was annoying but I've been shown mercy enough times that I decided to just laugh it off.

I was just out in that area. I'll have to add that to the list of roads to try. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure this was the reason.

for going 2 miles over the limit!!! Ha! My husband and I went down south Friday/Saturday. We were just leaving Lancaster to head over to Hocking. We were on 188 and getting on 33. We see a trooper pass us the other way. As we are getting on the ramp, my husband tells me the cop is following us (we have communicators). Shortly later pulls us over. Get off bike. Cop: License and registration. Me: ok. dig out all the stuff. Husband: Gives ID. Why are you pulling us over? Cop: Got you going 57 up there. Me: 57? Cop: Yeah. Me: Confused. Isn't the speed limit 55? Cop: Yeah. Me: Confused? So 2 over? Cop: Yeah. Me: Seriously? Cop: Yeah.............most bikes like yours run. (looking hugely disappointed) Husband: Sorry to disappoint. So the guy runs all our info. Verifies insurance, registration etc. Meanwhile, Ed and I start quoting Supertroopers. Pull over. I am pulled over. Pull over...... Supertroopers video below. So he actually gives me a written warning after all this. Strange encounter.
