We have STS stands. We probably would have gotten the Pitbull stands but we got a smoking deal on the STS. Anyway, they are awesome. If you can swing it, go strapless. BTW - I have two axle bar kits for Suzuki's if anybody is interested. Mary
I know. I've never seen anything like it. We rode 715 past 206 for what seemed like miles all with this type of damage. I just can't imagine. You can actually see somebody's deck in one of the pictures.
Sorry forgot to post the picture of 715. Here's a link to all pictures. https://plus.google.com/photos/109838090794825925836/albums/5911620876196431009?gpinv=AMIXal-zUodj09IaIdI2YE9uE1-BVZOKiTjL2n5wfImi19hwDrcFOdJJ8XAhg6Sbl85wbfBt1FZSwd97M6FuJpKbjMkAPqa_kbjyeWqp0XyKWuaEgWnRhtA&cfem=1 This is one of the bridges completely blocked. The water below had to have been 15 feet so I can't imagine how much water was in the area. In the other photos, check out the mud line on the trees.
Sorry about your fall. My husband did the same thing on some silt after a rain. Taking it easy and then bam. Not fun. I've actually ridden most of those roads but it's been a couple of years. We kind of quit going that way because of the poor road conditions and construction. I loved 255. Have some of those roads been repaved? I know they were doing some work to 255 but I don't know what they did. Mary
Well, I see the Lafayette looks interesting as does the Hackett. The Hackett seems iffy on parking. Sounds like they have forced Valet and well, we all know that won't be happening.
Hoping to do some riding in southern Ohio this weekend. We had originally planned on staying at the Blennerhassett hotel in Parkersburg but they have some special event and are booked. So I looked into our other favorite the OU inn at Athens and they are booked as well. So I'm looking for a cool/unique and/or clean hotel that either has it's own nice restaurant or a nice restaurant within walking distance. Preferably steak. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks! Mary
We were supposed to ride this area July 4 time frame but it rained for like 16 days straight so it didn't happen. RT. 16 is supposed to be great. RT 61 and 41 around New River are also supposed to be awesome. I'm hoping to get down there Labor Day week as well. Mary
Looks like it's the bridge near Glenmont. You could probably enter from 62 and then turn around at the bridge and ride back. Other way from 514 isn't worth it. Mary
Sorry if this the wrong forum for this but figured more people would see it here. I like my Q2's. The Q3's are supposed to be a really nice improvement and they are really a good price even without the rebate. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/images/InitialSet/Dunlop%20Q3%20Rebate%20Card.pdf Mary
520 was closed yesterday. Most of 60 and 62 seemed to be fine. 206 was open as well. 715 is closed and boy is that just crazy. I'll create another thread about that later today and add pictures. The pictures are amazing. Never seen anything like it. "High Water" may be the greatest understatement I've ever seen. Mary
You have to sign up for facebook. I didn't. As far as ads, I've only seen Icons for Taco Bell and CVS (that one showed up today). I can't find the group anymore doing the search but it is still saved in my groups tab. Not sure what is up with that. But again, I've never seen a notifcation anyway. Mary
Anybody know where I can rent a convertible in Cleveland? I've checked the major rentals and they don't have them available. Need a 4 seater. Want to take the kids out for a spin. Thanks for any suggestions. Mary
I use it everyday. Google just bought it so that might change it for the better or worse. Not sure. The police feature is priceless. I've also avoided some bad traffic with it as well. Mary
We go one for my son at 18 months old. He learned to ride his pedal bike without training wheels before he turned 3. He still likes the strider more than his pedal bike actually. I highly, highly recommend it. Amazon has some really good prices on them.
I would do Sandals for the honeymoon and Italy for an Anniversary. You are so fried after a wedding that relaxing is such a blessing. And there is a lot to do in St. Lucia - it is a gorgeous place. I've done Secrets all inclusives and they are a competitor to Sandals. Sandals is supposed to be better. I was very impressed with Secrets so I would have to think that Sandals would be unbelievable. My husband and I are planning on going to Italy in a couple years but we will be renting bikes and doing all the sight seeing so it will be a blast but not necessarily a lot of downtime. Mary
Well we got a PW50 for my 3 year old son and a TTR50 for my 6 yo daughter so they will start their riding career this year. We have been considering a bike with a side car. We would retrofit the side car with a harness and a roll bar so that takes care of my son but there's not enough room for two. The back of the bike doesn't have a back rest. I don't think she's ready for the back yet so we may have to put off the purchase until next year. We wouldn't be riding far. Just to eat or to car/bike shows that are within 10 to 15 minutes away but we'll see. I need to chew on this for a while. Thanks for all the replies. Mary
