  1. yeah i keep going back to "duty to flee". that combined with fear are mutually exclusive. what if i am not a particularly fearful person? are my rights therefore diminished compared to those who are easily scared? i dont get it.
  2. Which is a crock of shit. How can someone premeditate someone breaking into your house? By that logic, any CCW or tactical training is premeditation because you are practicing how to kill someone. Ben can delete this thread whenever. If someone does end up breaking into my place and getting shot, i don't want this thread coming back in court. LOL
  3. I would hope if that happens to the guy in Elyria, he tries some sort of counter suit and leaves that family broken and without whatever shanty they currently live in.
  4. im not even considering doing this. it would more or less be, a situation where if i saw footprints in the snow, what real duty would i even have to alert the police? if i know their MO is to come back the following night, i have 0 obligation to leave my home or live in fear. i mean the HOA has already alerted the franklin co. sheriff about the activity in our area.
  5. Id like to see how this turns out, legally. I don't see how any judge would ever side with the criminal.
  6. This is fairly extreme and I see his point with wanting to catch the people, but you can inadvertently hurt someone like a neighbor who means no harm, etc. I am undecided on how that law should really work, specifically.
  7. feel the jimmies, rustling softly in the breeze...
  8. Ok, so with a recent rash of break ins and block watch alerts popping up in the last month or so, what if i were to setup my house to be an enticing target, and lure a criminal in, with the intent of shooting them straight in the nuts? I mean it would probably be hard to prove that it was my intent to do so, but I think it would be funny if a criminal actually bit on the bait, and attempted a robbery. Furthermore, what if i were on the exterior of my home when the burglary occurred? Such as me sitting in a tree with a rifle, watching someone in my home? Since I have no duty to flee, would I still be in the right? Just thinking out loud. Some neighbors have reported footsteps in the snow, leading up to windows and such. The MO with the other robberies was to case the houses, then strike the next night.
  9. Looking at a model like this, its easy to see why people become preppers. Not everyone owns guns, but everyone eats. Imagine a disaster that would cause a food shortage. An entire grocery store could be cleared in a day or so. Shit, close down 71 in one direction and you have just created a bottleneck that can alter drive time by hours. Our infrastructure is weaker than everyone thinks, but not many are ready to admit it.
  10. I would take them to mediation. Sounds really gay, but if the court sends them a summons to come to mediation, and they don't show, you have a greater case against them when you REALLY pursue them legally. I had a guy who wouldn't pay me for work. I pestered the shit out of him and he still wouldn't pay me. I started the process for mediation, and sure as shit he shows up 3 months later with all the $$ he owed me.
  11. id be down in the spring to tackle a loop at mohican. i rode it with my buddy once but he cramped up halfway through. i still have never ridden the full loop.

  14. dont pay for wood, just go on CL and harvest it from idiots that just give it away during the summer, after storms. take it home, split it yourself and let it season before the cold hits.
  15. I so badly wanna ride the mohican 100, but I am out of shape right now. I saw my buddies drive train after riding it. Completely FUCKED.
  16. the conditions that COMBO posts are generally overblown. i can get on there, it be 90 degrees and boiling hot and those faggots will say to stay off the trail cause its muddy. its a fucking MOUNTAIN BIKE COURSE
  17. cleveland is the anus considering it is continually getting longdicked by the game of life. i was up there at christies for a bacheolor party. as a drunk walking down the streets of downtown, the steaming sewers and vacant buildings made me wanna stab my eyes out with a rusty soldering iron. i felt like i was in the book "The Road".

  24. random thought: what is stopping me from going to the "free" section on craigslist, getting all the shit people are giving away for free, donating it to goodwill, getting the receipt, and writing it off on my taxes?
