I might be able to make a ride depending on the day.
-
What size? Todd has a good selection.
dont really know, probably 46us. I'm about 210lbs and 5'7".
Just in from Todd.Since we have so many track days so close to each other, I have lowered the prices!!!Nelson Ledges Saturday September 1st is now $130.Beaverun/PittRace Saturday September 22nd is now $130.Putnam Park Saturday and Sunday September 29th and 30th are now $140 each and if you register for both save another $20.I have also lowered the prices for the Race School for Nelson Ledges and Beaverun/PittRace to $175.This has been a great year for awesome sunny weather and I want to offer everyone the chance to get in as many days as possible before the end of the season.Get out and ride, register today!Prices will increase 7 days prior to event dates so do not wait!Anyone that has already pre-registered will receive an email from me for a credit for a future date for the difference in price.

so what are the chances of renting leathers to fit my fat ass at nelson ledges? I'm debating about just ordering a set and getting it over with, or renting one for the trackday. Still not 100%, but I'm optimistic I'll make it.

Want!
But have to wait till the weekend to make a decision.
-
yeah 5'7" and a little over 200lbs here. The nylon in the latigo and the lack of a liner is a definite minus, but for the price its hard to ignore.
I tried on a couple speed and strength twist of fate suits at Iron Pony, one size difference went from not being able to go over my thighs to swimming in the suit.
Tried on an alpinestar(forget the name) and it felt awesome, the chest was was just too tight for any back protector to possibly fit.

^ exactly, just always consider the other riders first.....the group we passed were spread out well enough that merging in wouldn't have "shocked" the other riders. If they wern't spaced out so far, I probably would have never passed unless we had line of sight to pass the whole group at once.

lol you still feeling bad about that Doc?
-
Been looking at some suits lately, been trying to keep it low budget. Anyone have experience with the Cortech brand suits? I've included a couple links below. I've been keeping my eye out on used suits and ebay....just missed a new Latigo this morning on ebay for $320 shipped I really like the Adrenaline, but it is right at the top of my price range and no one seems to have them in stock(new item I think).

Use a pickle to clean it first, then use the dupont teflon chain lube.
no shit
makes me wonder if you can use a sponge with the pickle juice and just eat the pickles

I've been using the repsol lately, seems just to work good. Previously used chain wax, the repsol seems a little thinner. Can't really say if one gets flung off more than the other, bikes too dirty to tell.
Truth is I used plain old bar and chain oil on my fourwheeler back in the day....never had an issue over 5 years of nearly daily riding through all kinds of conditions.

Yeah, get out and ride! I'll be taking the dirtbike out tomorrow.
-
The one weekend I am out of town, figures.
-
Video is playing just fine for me. Looks like it was a beautiful day to ride!
-
When I changed the clutch basket on my dirtbike I screwed around for awhile trying a bunch of crap; bike in gear w rear brake, screwdriver jammed through sprocket, using vicegrips on a clutch steel....nothing worked. Went to sears and picked up a C3 1/2" impacts they had on sale. Once the battery was charged, the nut was spun off in less than a second. I was debating about returning(renting) it when the purchase was made, but after the first use it was given a home in my toolbox.

I wish, work then looking at apartments/houses.

swingarm cam from my ride home, this one is edited down a lot. A little 9, 39 and 542.

another perspective of the video

video looks good, too bad the fog on the lens crept in and stayed with us the rest of the day. I'm uploading the first segment of the video from my camera, I'll add it here when it finishes.

and ryan seemed to have missed the first post info on the 8/12 thread
doh, just saw marathon and assumed it was the same place as you met up yesterday. At least it was only a short delay.
-
Well Doc just went right past the meet point, wonder where he could have gone.
-
Yeah everyone needs to get out and ride, see you out on the road!
See you at Marathon Nivin.
-
Sorry Doug, didnt see your post. What time would you want to start/expect to get back. It sounds like a good ride.
And out of curiosity, would you be going south east or west of Wooster?
-
Looks like magnolia is the plan for right now.
We should plan a ride to Coshocton sometime, but I'll be gone till the start September after tomorrow.
-

Someone needs to put a bullet through its head to end it's suffering.
If motorcycles felt pain, that would be torture. It is painful enough to just look at.
