  1. Looks clear and stabile but I'd face it backwards from the swing arm.

I plan on doing that next time I'm out. Think it would be pretty cool with someone trailing.

natedogg624, nice save, was it just getting on the throttle too hard/early?

    Ever drag the camera?

I really like this angle seeing the mechanical action on the rear of the bike.

  2. Not really a ride, just a test run of the new camera and trying to find the proper settings to post a decent quality video to youtube. Make fun of the shoes if you want, I was on my way to a family reunion and it was about a mile away from the video.

  3. I suggest a road with twisties, wherever that may be I dont really care

Saturday has a chance of t-storms, but I'd be down rain or shine. I'd like to avoid the mid-day heat if we can.

  4. I need to get this bike out of the apartment and try out the clutch I just installed. I know NO trails around here and dont feel like taking the trip back to Pa to ride places I know since I was just there last weekend for a ball game.

Cleveland area....willing to travel some. I have a couple guys at work interested, but no one wants to commit to anything.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

  5. Not recently with the smh5, I'll give it a shot if I remember tomorrow. I know when you crank the volume up it becomes a little tinny at about the point where it becomes too loud, but with earplugs in it might not be loud enough. The smh10 is supposed to have nicer speakers and you can also pick up the nicer ones for the smh5.

  6. I wore earbuds a few times, the ended up hurting my ears, getting semi-pulled out, or falling out completely. And you have to screw with them every time you take your helmet off.

Picked up a Sena SMH5 and have been very happy. The only thing I disliked at first about it was if you turned your head to the left you could accidently turn the volume up or down. Ive got used to it now and can actually adjust the volume pretty accurately with my shoulder without even taking my hands off the bars.

I was riding for about 10 hours on saturday and had the phone playing music via bluetooth to the SMH5 the entire time, I got MUCH better battery life than having it play through earbuds.

  7. Any of the footage turn out usable from when I was following you NinjaDoc? Camera looked like it was bouncing all over the place. I think the arm was too long and the plastic was too flexible....plus my bike vibrates a bit.

I've been searching around trying to find the best deal for the gopro hero 2...Amazon has them for 249 shipped for the motorsports package, lowest price I've found so far.

  8. been down before, but my riding gear really hasn't changed:

all the time - helmet and gloves

more than a trip to the corner - mesh jacket

more than a trip to work and back - boots

never - riding pants, never bought a pair yet, but they would go along with the boots. Usually wear a pair of jeans, even though they dont do shit if you go down.

  9. just got back myself.

Thanks for showing me some great routes. The straight shot back to cleveland at the end was more tiring than the entire day of riding.

We will have to meet up and ride again.
