  1. just got back, time for a beer....

The route back 39, 164, 172, 77 wasnt too bad. As I crossed 9 I stopped, pulled out the map and started looking at the route back down 9, 39 all the way to mid ohio to check out the track day....as I pushed the bike back out of the gravel spot it was parked in I realized how tired I was and just came home....another day.

  2. I take off like Fred Flintstone, saves clutches you know. ;)

I was riding like Fred Flintstone in Pittsburgh a couple weeks ago...bumper to bumper traffic on the way into the squirrel hill tunnel for an hour and a half. I killed the bike and kicked off to coast every chance I had. Probably looked like an ass, but I didnt cook my balls off and it gave me something to do to pass the time.

  3. We could. 9>250>519w>9s>149. Doc has a route that includes 149. Your want just puts a little detour in. Looks good.

I just happened across that little S bend when planning a route for the 4th and never ended up going. On google maps street view it looks like a decent stretch of road....never been before, so I cant attest to it though.

  4. iPhone...period. The problem with the droid phones is the same problem you have with the PC world. Many different manufacturers making many different phones for one operating system. The issue there is that in a short period of time you have a great risk that your phone will not run the latest droid OS. It's a fact, look it up for yourself.

The iPhone is a solid phone with a solid OS. Make the switch and never look back.

androids fragmented.....but just about any model you get is going to be a great phone. My original captivate (samsung galaxy s) is still going strong as my mothers phone.

I'd say the benefit of hardware choices outweighs the cost of slow updates for some models.

  5. macbooks have been around for awhile, wouldnt necessarily have to be a $2k+ computer

Depending on what they say at the store, I'd bring it home with a gallon or two of distilled water, a bag of rice and a small rubbermaid tote big enough for the laptop. Separate the mobo from everything and wash the board in the water, dump the rice in the tote and make a flat bed. Throw a wash cloth on top of the rice and sit the motherboard on the washcloth.

  6. its the shops liability, not the owners...the shop should carry insurance for just this sort of thing, no different than if the shop burned down and everything was lost including their customers equipment. At least that is the way it should be.
