  1. Anyone planning a spring trip? AJ going Super Bowl weekend. Seems some went last year at the end of Feb. -Biggie
  2. Dumb! Just tow with it and slow down up hills. It's pretty simple. You don't have to two up mountains at 70. Just drop down to 50 and it will be ok.
  3. I have some used ones for sale. Completely reloaded. Most HP's. Core 2 duo for $125-$150. i3 or i5 are $200-225. Those are about 2 years old. HP ProBook business laptops. Decommissioned at big company. Completely reloaded with Windows 7 Pro x64. Valid sticker on bottom. I have a few left.
  4. Pay off CC and resolve to never carry a balance again!! Don't close accounts. Let them age and have low average balance both helps credit score.
  5. I have a brand new set of OEM knobbies. Front still on the wheel. Rear by itself. Have to be brand new or very close to unused. Make me an offer.
  6. To be fair there is a lot more slop that would go unnoticed in a car vs bike simply due to power/weight ratio. If your 3500-4000# car is slightly abrupt during on/off/on throttle transitions, would you feel it? Would it upset the vehicle as much?Never ridden the bike in question but manufacturers have been fighting this issue likely forever, but it happened again during the FI revolution and again with the throttle by wire (instead of cable) transition. My first year RC-51 FI was touchy as a first year FI bike. Interestingly it had a manual fuel enrichment knob. Seems to me that manufacturers just get it close enough to get the product to market.
  7. Don't worry about SS. It will likely be around. Millenials outnumber boomers. Soon as they all start working it should work out fine. Plus old people suck the most money from government for the simple reason that they vote the most often. Want more shit from government, vote!

    Allergies

Weed. And my other favorite is an ocean breeze. No cats or dogs that cause allergies. People who have animals and take pills to minimize the allergies that the pet creates are crazy IMO.
  9. The fact remains low voter turnout benefits republicans. Over the last few decades it has benefited them more. For a very long time, young and minorities didn't show for mid terms but now the older whiter voters are heavily skewed towards republicans. It was a good thumping. The strategy of not working with the president on just about every issue causing shit government then blaming the president for everything worked well. It's worked somewhat well in the past with the Democrats but much more so this time. 2016 will likely have good turnout and the D's will get more seats. Maybe not control of the senate but more. There are a lot to defend in the senate for 2016 for the Republicans. The fact remains big business has bought big government. Both sides have been purchased and the people are the losers.
  10. Good post. Totally agree. Honda left me, I didn't leave Honda. Despite that I have a few of them currently. No desire to buy anything they make now.
  11. How many not looking isn't part of the unemployment rate. Like it or not, this isn't a new rule. Yes having another number to quantify these things would be helpful. But what are you trying to say? Trying to minimize the gains? Or something else?
  12. 50 MPG highway. That's a you expect? That would be stupid low. I have a 2015 Golf TDI that I have averaged just above 50 mpg over the first 6.5K miles in the last 6 weeks. Fully loaded with all options (sans parking sensors) including 18" wheels. Best tank was 58.2 over 600+ miles. Little thing should do 80 mpg highway to have a chance.
  13. If Romney would have been elected he would have been heralded as the savior of the country by the right radio, tv and bloggers with those exact same statistics. I can hear it now how he fixed the democrats mess. Sigh.
  14. https://autos.yahoo.com/news/lit-motors-c-1-video-shows-self-balancing-133004190.html Especially like the yank from the Sprinter comparison.
  15. Thank you. I didn't even think about that part. Since paper saved and matched to the the number in the voting book, this makes me feel better.
  16. I voted and it was fill in the bubble like the last few times. The machine scans and reports if I left any blank. I hit agree or something like that to continue. A long time ago we had a small punch card type system to poke holes in the votes we cast. Can't remember how long that one has been gone, but pretty sure it was after the 2004 election. I volunteered to see how the system works. I've never been given a receipt. It's not like it would do you any good. What are they going to do, have everyone return their receipt to match vote totals? This is my main concern about the voting machines in general. The old punch card system was worked on by one guy, who had been doing it for a long time, according to the county worker who 'educated' me. The guy was a contractor for the company who made the machine I believe. I thought, seems like an easy way to conduct voter fraud just by manipulating the output of the machine. Now we use electronic ones, with no printed record stored in the bin, that could be used to verify the electronic tally. How hard would it be to change the programming? Couldn't be too hard. And who would know? How could you check? The system is very vulnerable at they machine counting level. This is why I think in person voter fraud is a bull shit issue. Machine voter fraud is much easier and much harder to detect. Back to my story, the vote counts that we checked were selected before our arrival. I can tell you that was complete bullshit as those could have been cherry picked for accuracy. Not sure what could be done about it.
  17. I've had a down payment on one 'upcoming V4 superbike' for at least two years now at my local Honda dealer. I was hoping mid 20's - 30's. Not mid 70's or over 100K. Not sure the dealer would be big enough to get one.
  18. Twice in the last twenty is more relevant. Could become even more so. We shall see what today's and more likely 2016 elections show.
  19. I was referring to regular folk, not corporations that act like 'people' unless it's better for them not to be. Nor was I talking about the rich and influential. Those types routinely get away with a lot. This was the context of polling fraud and regular voters, but point taken. We likely agree. Same link I posted before: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_2012 Although Democratic candidates received a nation-wide plurality of more than 1.4 million votes (1.2%) in all House elections,[6] the Republican Party won a 33-seat advantage in the state-apportioned totals, thus retaining its House majority by 17 seats. This disparity -- common in close elections involving single-member district voting[7] -- has on occasion been attributed togerrymandering in the congressional redistricting process following the 2010 United States Census,[8][9][10] although such claims have been disputed.[11][12] In the previous century, on four occasions the party with a plurality of the popular vote was unable to receive a majority in the House, but only twice since World War II.[10] The last time was in 1952and 1996, in which the GOP held a majority in the House. The 1942 election was last time that the Democrats held a majority in the House without winning the popular vote.[13]
  20. Agree. I expect things to perform and look awesome.Reminds me of interceptor 500 back in '85.
  21. Just wish I had the wheelie control.
  22. This is the real problem. I find myself arguing about other topics but this is the only one that really matters.

  24. Out of room mostly. Hard to maintain 9-10 bikes. Have to keep the ones I plan to use the most. Paying for heated storage all winter long.
  25. I'm losing bikes. Sold the crashed RS125 as well. Probably should sell more but can't decide which one I could let go.
