  1. So you feel your right to bear arms has undue burdens attached and you don't like it. And you are okay with undue burdens for voting. See any contradictions?
  2. One example vs 18. Good math. Sorry I misspoke. I meant to say almost all!!!
  3. All that stuff you mention isn't being done by legislators on the Democratic side. The laws are being changed by the Republican side. Major difference. If laws are broken they should be prosecuted.
  4. Totally agree. Why is it so hard to understand that political parties do things in their own best interest? In this case, restrict voter access while the old white base gets smaller and smaller. Seems logical to me. And it it is a fact that the old white people base is a shrinking demographic.
  5. Sounds simple but there is a problem. I believe 10% never get disqualified. And as a voter you will never know why. You could do this year after year without ever getting counted. In person, they will tell you what the problem is so you can do it differently, if not that time, in the future.
  6. Ok so in person voter ID isn't a problem yet the laws have been changed lately to require it in two dozen states or so. So why would this be a new law? Other parts of the laws are to shorten registration time and early voting. Many people find it difficult to vote on Tuesdays. People who are poor or have shitty jobs or multiple jobs. Or a host of other reasons. Why wouldn't we allow early voting? Why would be restricting the ability of CITIZENS to vote Could it be, maybe just maybe, that the party that benefits from more restrictive laws are the ones passing them? Regardless of party affiliation, restricting voting rights is wrong.
  7. Law also states you have the right to vote. Undue burdens aren't acceptable. So your idea isn't as cut and dry as you might imagine it to be.
  8. This is getting silly. I say 'a significant amount' and you convert that to me saying eveyone thinks this way. Then you go on to imply that I said let eveyone vote including non Americans. Not sure where you get this from. Still waiting to hear about all those important in person voter ID fraudsters who don't get prosecuted.
  9. Very seriously. Republicans by in large don't like new laws. Yet here we have many cases of Republicans passing laws that don't fix a problem that is inconsequential at best. See why some might call bullshit. That bullshit prevents some people from being able to vote. Those people tend to vote for the other side. You can ignore this all you want. A significant amount of people see exactly what I described here.
  10. Still waiting to hear about the unprosecuted in person voter ID and how it's a real problem. Sounds like you are arguing other items. I'm getting confused. Is it so hard to imagine that certain people in the USA don't have ID's? Let's make it harder to vote. That's American!
  11. Gerrymandering is bad, regardless of who does it. Maybe you like it when your 'team' uses it to advantage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_2012 Democrats got more votes in 2012 and lost the house of reps by a decent margin. Now it's your turn to show that we don't prosecute in America. FYI, most Republicans take government handouts too. So your comments about needing ID to get 'guberment' checks is just silly. Does any of the O'Keefe items get fixed by having showing ID at the polls? Would anyone consider it a coincidence that the Republican controlled state legislatures are the vast majority of the ones implementing voter ID laws? Coincidence that the people most affected are the young, old and poor?
  12. Yeah, what America do you live in where they don't prosecute crimes? Significantly more people already vote democratic now but lose out due to gerrymandering.
  13. There's no doubt that gerrymandering has fucked the system.
  14. Obviously you don't know the rationale of the opposing viewpoint. I worry more about vote counting fraud than individuals casting extra votes. The gains and deceit are much larger at the machine.
  15. Can be expensive of course. High taxes. Property taxes are downright scary for new residents. I like the whacky funky cool and don't mind the different people that inhabit the left coast. Some have a problem with hippies, Asians, weird white people, lots of Latino people. Crazy pockets of crime and huge areas in LA that should be avoided. In and out burgers are great. A lot of trust fund baby's and huge gap between the rich and poor. Lots of weed. Horrible traffic. Nothing hardly within walking distance. Pedestrian laws are taken very seriously. If you need 70K to live in Ohio, you might need around $110-125K to replicate in most respects.
  16. I'm confused, should I like something that has zero engineering? Personally I'm a fan of bunches of engineering.
  17. Adversity doesn't make fairy takes real. Sorry but still isn't logical.
  18. Prayer doesn't work any better than no prayers. Any study that says it does will be discredited by opposing conclusions from other studies. Only possible way I see it working in any form is if the person is concious and knows they are being prayed for. Then it's not the prayer directly but the love and care of others that could affect their body's ability to heal. Or even cause the medical workers to try harder.
  19. We do have cicada wasps here in ohio which seem almost as large.
  20. My 119 has factory slipper and my CRF250R has aftermarket slipper. I have bump started both of them. It's a myth that you can't bump start slipper bikes. When I blip the throttle it's to start the engine RPM going up before the engine does it to minimize the harshness and wear on the parts involved. Slipper let's you not blip and still not get the harsh consequences. Not needing to blip let's you focus your energies on other needed items.
  21. It's whatever you want to do. As mentioned some adjust to the slipper and just dump the clutch after downshifting. There is no wrong answer, unless you crash.
  22. I rarely leave a helmet on a bike. Just a terrible sign from fellow humans to do this. As someone who uses expensive helmets, I would be extremely pissed if someone did this.
  23. For those religious folks, prepare to watch religion change right before your eyes. Despite that you believe that it's old and doesn't change, they do change as needed to stay relevant. Next hurdle is gay marriage. What used to be a major sin will likely become a minor sin or no sin at all. How do you religious folks live with all the contradictions???
