  1. I do live in Pleasant Hill now. Moved at the end of March. I suppose I could stop being lazy and change it in my info here. I am always up for riding on my time off. That's generally Tuesday mid afternoons, Saturday evenings and Sundays. I asked the same question and there was no real reason. I would have liked Tuesdays since I only work the day and am off in the evening. However, they are open until midnight. I'm sure a few of the hard core folks will still be there talking up bikes at that point.
  2. Just thought that I would pass this along to those of you in the area. A friend of mine has been working on getting a bike night together in the Troy area and it is now official. I will unfortunately be unable to make the first night due to being at Mid-Ohio but I should be there the following Monday. What: Bike night When: Monday June 9th starting at 7pm Where: BW3's in Troy, OH ALL MAKES of bikes will be welcome but I have a feeling it will be mostly sport riders. This will be the first night and hopefully a good turnout will happen. Any questions just send me a PM. Ryan
  3. Good luck on your buy but I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Craigslist. You can find some serious deals on guitars there.
  4. I am curious about the paces listed. There is a difference between 25-30 over in one curve and 25-30 over in another. Any footage of what these guys were riding like last year? That would give me a good idea on where I'd like to be on the type of unknown roads we are talking about. If I started in one group I'm assuming its ok to jump up a pace group if I feel as though I'm comfortable riding faster? PS - I am GoPro mounted.
  5. Sweetness. Congrats. Like that color too.
  6. They may be protective and a great price but good god are they ugly. Those suits are still in plenty supply as I was there on Tuesday of this week but the tacky silver and primary colors are just over the top. They look like a box of Crayola crayons threw up on them. Get over that and they are probably a great buy.
  7. If at all possible, I will also be attending the meet and greet in March. I know we have tried, but its a shame that I have not met you or Snot when we live so close. I will be keeping an eye out for it. The only thing that would keep me from going is the fact that we are moving in March. I noticed, Lee, that you live in P. Hill. That is where I will be moving to. We get the keys on 3/19. I would love to meet you as well. I almost forgot.....Welcome to Ohio Riders!!!
  8. I hear what y'all are saying about nothing "exceptionally exciting" is being produced by Honda. I agree that they aren't absolutely devastating the market with a new model that just crushes the competition. However, what they do produce does exceptionally well across the board. Lets face it, the CBR1000RR has NEVER been a raw, in-your-face motorcycle. Many bikes today turn faster lap times but how many are as solid in every single aspect as the Honda? Not many. With a few minor upgrades, the CBR1000RR is so minutely behind the others that it really makes no difference on the street. I read an article in Sportrider not too long ago that tested all of the liter bikes. One of the writers had done some minor upgrades to his Fireblade and all of them had a hard time knocking it. Was it the fastest? No. Was it the slowest? No. Did it do such an all around fantastic job that you just couldn't go wrong buying one? Yes, it did. I will give you that the Fireblade and other models need an update but you just can't go wrong with a Honda. And here is my final take: When they do release the next gen of sport bike, you better hold on to your panties. You don't see Honda rushing anything, because when they do release it, it will be perfect and likely destroy the competition. How many times have you seen it happen before?....since Honda's inception. It always goes in cycles (no pun intended).
  9. Probably right around 15K. Hard to tell when you have four of them in the garage.
  10. Good Stuff. Caryn rides herself but tends to ride on the back more often than not. Pretty sure its due to the fact that I ride a bit (cough) fast and its not really fair to leave her in the dust when hitting the twisties. We do go out together, however. I want to get her into a track class. She's way more than capable to ride at a much higher level with practice, she just doesn't know it.
  11. I cannot argue with your logic other than the fact that you get something in return for having another baby. Then again, the anguish of dealing with diaper changes, terrible 2's, lack of any attention whatsoever and then a mouthy teenager...if you add all that together its still not as bad as taking a foot to the nachos. Your point stands.
  12. Text me at 317-504-2491 if coming.
  13. Caryn and I will be riding out from our house about 6pm and hitting the twistiest roads around Troy and stopping for ice cream along the way at the Tipp City Dairy Queen. Anyone who's interested can come. Pace will be fairly spirited. Polecat, Troy-Urbana, over to 55, Children's Home, Knoop, 41 to Dye Mill, 25A, Don Davis Way, Hyatt, Dairy Queen, Hyatt, Monroe Concord, Peters...and possibly more. The loop is about 40-45 minutes.
  14. Thanks for the tips. I have the large loop on a map that I picked up from America Rides Maps. I'm taking the CBR RR, so I don't know how far Caryn can take on the back. I've never been pillion on a sport bike but I can only imagine that it must be brutal over very long distances. Might have to break things up a bit or stop frequently. I'm thinking a ZZR might be in order before doing it again next year. I hear they are quite a bit more comfortable without sacrificing too much of the handling. Thankfully she is a great passenger and never puts weight on my wrists. Six days from today. Man is work going to suck this week.
  15. Caryn and I will be headed south to the Gatlinburg area for some great riding in less than two weeks. Planning on a weekday excursion to Deals Gap, hitting River Road on the way to and fro, a ride on the Cherohala Skyway, a run on the Blueridge Parkway and a cross on the pass to Cherokee to get there. Any other standout roads to hit while we are down there? We don't want to ride the entire trip (horses to ride and whitewater to traverse) but probably have time to hit a bit more while were there. I have up to a full 7 days down there if I want. Goofy as it is, I just don't want to be away from home more than that. The parents will be staying at the house but I think I'd miss my dog too much to be gone more than that...lol.
  16. Are they certain its not gray Dodge, because I just saw the same situation at Speedway in Troy...and got a pic of the truck, people and plate.
  17. NASA scientists, 48 of them, fairly recently said global warming is a fraud. A quick search will bring up a ton of info. All satellite data is completely contradictory to the global warming claims being espoused but you won't find it being reported on CNN, MSNBC or the like.. If you're old enough to remember, in the 1970s, they were screaming of the imminent ice age. If people really did their research onwho is leading the drive in the environmental movement, they would probably have a heart attack. A good Google search on why, even such an extremist as the original leader of Greenpeace got out, is rather enlightening. Its not about environment, its about politics and control.

    Old dog

I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Some folks just don't understand how close animals can be to our heart's. They are not just dogs, they are family. I did not know your dog so I cannot feel your exact loss but I have lost dogs myself. Each relationship is unique, just like the one between you and your pup. I know how devastatingly deep that feeling of loss can go and I truly feel for you. Just remember, all dogs go to heaven. How could those wonderful souls not? After all, dog is God spelled backwards. Peace be with you and your family.
  19. Not much better than white fairings and red frame IMO. Looks fantastic on the new Daytona R also. Great taste you two have.
  20. Aaron, sorry I didn't see this earlier. Dunno why but its no longer kicking notifications to my email and I've been busy and not spending time on here. I typically work days on Saturdays but I am usually home by 5. Depending onthe weather, I will be riding tomorrow evening and or Sunday. Just got back from a jaunt with Caryn. This rain is killing me.If you ever want to ride, shoot me a text.
  21. What a great offer. I'm in.
  22. Would it happen to be Auctmarts?
