My current fairings are in excellent shape but I'm looking to swap my 2003 CBR 600RR plastics to something different, just for a change. I've seen numerous sites that carry them but since I have never shopped for them, I thought I would ask for some great company recommendations. I'm pretty dead set on the red Konica Minolta scheme. It will give me a good excuse to get some serious detail cleaning done underneath also. Here is the basic desired end result:

Aaron, Yeah, its the same guy we talked about when we went riding. We even passed him riding on Children's Home Rd that day. I've passed him numerous times since then, including last weekend. Its getting pretty humorous actually. I figured he was on here too. We need to get together and ride again as well. Had a good time with you and Alan, and Caryn liked you guys also. Hopefully the weather holds out to go for a good romp this Sunday.

But it was love at first sight. We ride the same motorcycle, wear the same gear and ride the same roads. Hell, we can take turns wearing thongs, bikini tops and flip flops and ride on the back of each other's bikes.Umm, not really.

LOL..Most of my bikes don't have a ton of chrome but the Ice Detailer works on chrome too. Its really an all purpose cleaner wax. It works on windscreens, plastics, paint, chrome, mirrors, seats etc... A bottle is about $10. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Sharp car. Always liked the Scion TC line. May it serve you well with style.

Its getting a bit creepy bro. It seems you know all my routes and you seem to always pass coming the other direction and never passing in town. Passed you today on Peterson. You're always riding alone so I have an idea. Introduce yourself here, lets get riding the same direction and that way I won't feel like you're stalking me...lol. I'm the guy in all black gear riding the yellow CBR RR with my girlfriend often on the back. Name is Ryan. Cheers.

Unless I literally got mud all over a bike, which never happens, I don't wash my bikes. All you need is to wipe down your ride with a microfiber cloth and a bottle of Turtle Wax Ice detailing spray. Spritz it on, immediately wipe off with the first cloth and then buff lightly with another microfiber cloth. My bikes are immaculate at all times and I ride constantly. Just wipe it down every ride and hit the rims every 2-3 times. I seriously cannot remember the last time I used water on a bike.

The same to you. We were pleasantly surprised and had a good time riding. We are looking forward to riding again and meeting a few more folks here.

You're welcome to meet us at our house. We live at 2805 Piqua Troy Rd. Its about 5 or so houses down from Polecat and the stop ahead sign for the 5-way is in our front yard. Caryn and I will be riding 2-up on the CBR. We will be leaving about 3:30-3:45. Youre welcome to call or text. 317-504-2491. Name is Ryan.

Looks like the rest of it may very well miss us according to the radar. Ill give it a few hours to dry up and see where it stands at that point. I'm not real hip on coming around a corner at dry pace only to find a wet shaded area. Throttle control only goes so far and I prefer limiting surprises as much as possible. Probably ride out of my house, close to the Eldean bridge, down Polecat, Troy Sidney, Chidrens Home, Knoop, 41, Dye Mill, Monroe Concord area, Peters, 55 etc...

Btw, very sharp ride and color choice. I have 3 yellow motorcycles, including an 03 CBR600RR. I'm convinced the yellow adds 10-15 HP.

I actually called Iron Pony before ordering and several of the things I was wanting, they don't carry. I also asked about 2-piece leather suits and they don't carry those either, unless you order them. That kind of defeated the purpose of driving several hours there and back although it looks like I am going to have to do it anyway. Like another said, its exceedingly difficult for me to find the time to make the trip. I work 12+ hour days 4 days a week and another 2 "half days" that are typically 4-6 hours. Regardless, it sounds as though I am going to have to figure it out anyway. Lord knows that Competition Accessories is severely overpriced and their selection is horrible unless you're 70 and own a Goldwing. I was hoping to make my life a bit easier but instead made it more difficult. Not the first time that's happened...lol

I recently pulled the trigger on some new riding gear for both myself and my girlfriend. $1,400 worth to be exact. I used Revzilla and had a great shipping experience but I'd have to say that the sizing experience left a ton to be desired. Here is a list of the order: Dainese Frazer leather jacket. Dainese textile pants Icon reinforced and padded jeans Alpinestars half boots Scorpion ladies jacket and matching Savanah textile pants. Double bubble screen I took and excessive amount of time sizing by measuring and using the charts provided to "adapt" real sizing to the charts that supposedly adjust to the correct match for the manufacturer. However, almost all of it was wrong. I ordered the next size up in the jacket to ensure I had a bit of room to move and it was still too small. I did the same by ordering over their recommendation in the Dainese pants as well. They fit nicely in the waist, if not a bit large, but the length was about 2 inches too short. The Icon jeans were too tight in the waist and were quite a bit long in the length but fit so baggy that I would only be happy if I was a rap star. The only good fits were Caryns pants and jacket and those were also intentionally ordered a size to big. The boots, well, they rock. I will give Revzilla credit for an easy return process that includes free shipping but I don't think their recommended sizing is even close, especially on the European stuff like Dainese. I got lucky on the first jacket as it was in stock but now have to wait on the new size to ship from Italy. I'm looking at 2-3 weeks after they get the original merch back. Ugh! No clue what I'm going to do for pants at this point either. Ordering a bigger size will meet the length but the waist will be too large and the Icon jeans are out of the question. I like style but I'm not into the thug look the jeans had on me. I'm open for suggestions. I'm 6-6'1 and 190 with long legs. I'm not even close to heavy but have an average build to weight ratio.

If the PR3's are as good as the 2's in the rain then I would be a happy camper with them. I never intentionally ridden in the rain but I was caught in a downpour a few weeks ago. I've never been as impressed with a tire in the wet as I was with the PR2's. I was already wet so I just kept riding and they stuck and it was difficult to get the back end loose. Its really hard to consider switching after such stellar performance, wet or dry but I'm kind of interested in hearing more about the experiences folks are going to have with the Q3's.

No problem, Snot. I'm sure we will meet up soon enough. Still game to meet any others out for a spirited ride.

Just trying to find out if anyone is going to be riding around the Troy area tomorrow. I havent hooked up with anyone on the forum as of yet. However, I thought that if a few of you were going out for a ride in the area that it might be a good time to meet some new folks. So long as its dry, Ill be riding for at least a few hours alone, with a few friends or hopefully some new friends.

Thanks for the info. I already get the paper copy free with my subscription to Sport Rider but the online deal will be nice to have.

Thanks for the report. I've been looking for a new textile but haven't decided to pull the trigger due fear of incorrect sizing. This is on the top of my list. What size/build are you and what size did you get? Dianese typically fit small. Does it hold true with this model?

Oldschoolsdime92, I also live in Troy. Do you detail out of a shop or your house? Id like some info as I may be in need of your services in the near future, depending on cost and what all your detailing services include. You can either respond here or you can shoot me a PM. Kind of wondering if I have seen you around town too.

The latest Tire Shootout rated them at the bottom of the barrel and so it has gone with every professional review I have seen. The conclusion basically stated that if you were riding primarily in a straight line then they may be acceptable tires, otherwise choose another. I have never heard anything decent from anyone that I know about them. Its all about what you are going to do with the bike but as someone else said, its the most important piece of equipment you can have. I agree 1000%. That doesnt mean you need a race tire but at least buy a good one.

I like the looks of your helmet. Sharp! I have the Nolan N90S and love it. Its comfortable, quiet, modular, has the quick release, the flip sun visor and a place for an intercom or blootooth. I liked it so much that I purchased one for my girlfriend as well. Only problem is that I had it sitting on the seat of the CBR RR and it vibrated off this evening. Hit the driveway too. Looks okay but after any drop, another is in order. I want a certain Arai but I don't know if I can give up the modular. The Nolan is by far the best helmet I have owned to date.

If youre serious about something, will they get it out and fire it up? I will have to look this place up. There is a ride in there somewhere.
