So is there a quick and easy single stage I could spray and wet sand/buff to a descent shine?

I thought about buying a cheap harbor freight gun and using that actually. Can I hook it to my compressor and rock with the right line pressure and not have to put water traps in and all that good stuff. Time is at a premium so I don't want to have to relearn another skill unless I can pick it up quickly. Also, is the paint just pour in the gun and spray or do I have to use other chemicals to thin/reduce. I don't know much about painting but I watched my buddy do it and he's a pro. It looked like a PITA, but this is a garage job so it will take less effort.

I'm putting my 750 back together and have all the fiberglass work done from laying it down last year. It is an ugly gray color now and I figure it is time to spice it up while I'm at it. The current paint sticks well but has a few runs in it. I plan on rattle canning it and doing some pin striping/masking to make it a little different. I'm a noob at paint so I need some advice. I don't know if I need to scuff it, hit it with primer, then paint/clear or can I just scuff the current paint and go right to laying the base coat? Do I sand all the old paint off and start from scratch? Any advice on this would be great as far as sanding, grits, prep, etc. I've read a ton of stuff online but everybody has a different opinion. I'm not looking for perfection since it will likely go down again. Thanks!!!!

Does this mean if I fill mine with concrete I'll be in expert moto-gp ninja mode? Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

After some more digging I found the stretch limit of 319.4mm and how to properly measure the 20 pitch length. I'm at 318mm so it's done for. IDK what the previous owner could have done to smoke a chain in such a short time. Now onto where to buy the kit and brand suggestions. Let me hear then if you have em please! This is my first chain replacement and I plan on sticking with the 520 conversion with -1+2. Thanks! Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

My chain is an EK520 MKXZ. Per their website pin length is supposed to be 21.50mm. I measures about 10 links on different areas of the chain and had 21.51 to 21.62 on the high side. My caliper wasn't long enough to get a 10 link measurement. Is that enough data to make a determination? That's the best I could come up with. Also, the chain does not pull off the back of the sprocket. I like to use math and learn something new so I broke out the calipers. http://www.ekchain.jp/product/street_bikes.html

I was told it was replaced as a set by the previous owner who had 3 track days on it. I have heard the -1+2 conversion moves the wheel farther back causing the adjusters to be near full out. The bike has less than 3800 miles on it and the chain tension was good when I bought it so I don't think he ruined the chain by making it too snug. However, it would be better to not assume such things. I have a digital caliper. Would I measure it link to link and see where that stands over the OEM length? Thanks!

Thanks for the explanation. I just got my basics dialed in on my suspension and I haven't stepped into the fine tuning yet. I'm a quick "I" at Mid-Ohio so there is a lot of work to do still. I'm sure I'm not fast enough to notice a nuance like that.

I'm getting a jump on maintenance and I have a chain question. When I bought my track bike last year, 07 GSX-R 750, the previous owner said he installed a -1+2 setup. The sprockets/chain look to be in good shape, but the adjusters are moved nearly all the way out to get the chain tension within tolerance. I need to snug the chain up again and, to me, it shouldn't be out as far as it is. 1. Is this common with a setup like this? 2. Can I remove a link or two from the chain and get it back in the adjustable range? I was thinking about replacing the whole setup, but it looks okay and I want to save the $175-$200 for a new setup. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Yeah, I'm 6'2" and 240. Nothing little here. That is a steaming turd nugget of service man. All she needed to do was apologize for dropping the ball and offer a little discount for the next order and I'm sure it would have diffused the situation. Some people have an ego... "Muh nigga gunna beat da breast off you" I don't even follow ebonics. It's like she's so stupid she can't even be angry and speak simultaneously. What the hell is wrong with people:confused: That video was hysterical. I love how she flips from gangster bitch Barbie to "you guhnna jayle" the second her bluff is called. This sums it up right here. We need to launch a lawsuit against manufacturers for putting us in danger. All pipes should be open baffle ans multi directional for optimal function of noise making. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

Tell him you'll tune it with an ECU Editor and lock it in C mode:D I was a stubborn kid once and no matter what you say it won't change his mind. Plus the Busa is uber sexy. I have one and I love it, but I'm 31 and it is my 3rd bike. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2 -
Like this maybe. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=290161124234&index=6&nav=SEARCH&nid=07949419967 I did it from my phone so it's in mobile format. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

Www.the12volt.com should have a diagram for it. You could get thin spade connectors and slide them in. Otherwise I'd check eBay or contact dodge for a harness replacement. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

They built up slag and ground it down. That's a lip where it looks like a crack. It's hard to get in a picture. It's a pinch bolt on the right so there is space where in pinches together. I'm assuming a pinch bolt was standard on the RHS as the front half, where the bolt head sits, hasn't been welded. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

I was pulling apart my Gixxer to get started on winterizing and I noticed this where my engine mount/frame slider sits. It looks like the previous crash might have snapped the tab off or bent it and they reinforced it with a weld. This is my first salvage bike so I'm new with frame damage. Is this a safe repair? It seems solid and well done but I'd prefer some opinions. Thanks! Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
