  1. You can do all of the above here so welcome aboard. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  2. www.kylehunterphotography.com He is there every track day and will load the Mid Ohio gallery on his website. He does a hell of a job too. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Dizzle, you are the man. My next avatar is right there. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I was the metallic gray Gixxer with black Astar leathers and a flat black helmet. If you were snapping pics in pit lane I was the guy who threw up the sign of the beast at ya. Coyote were you running in I today? I was passing 3 wide in a corner a few times and the back straight looked like 270 during rush hour a few times. It got me to experience a whole new set of lines. 5. It was a packed house today and lots of fun. It was slick as ice early with brand new Michelin sneakers on the 750 with a cold track. Shout out to Longdoracing for giving me a tow and helping me learn how to pass safely. I always learn a ton from coaches that love what they do. It was still an ego shot watching him turn around to keep an eye on me while I was going flat out. Then I got to work on some passing drills with my buddy Mike. Very few riders went down and that makes my day. Good luck tomorrow for those riding. It looks like rain tapers off in the afternoon. It was a blast seeing everybody and a shout out to all the coaches that help get us there. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Way to go! I never did one of these and after 11 years I might next year. At least those scary riders took the class though. Let's hope everybody stays safe. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I'm with you on this. It's sad as can be when a rider passes, but no helmet is self inflicted stupidity. I prefer to live like tomorrow will come and I've not missed one tomorrow yet. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  8. This seems to fix that issue 90% of the time. Google voltage drop test and YouTube has some good videos to guide you through it. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  9. I just got it done. It went very well. Joe ironed my flat spot at 8000-8500 rpm and worked hard to dial the rest in. I picked up 5hp and 4ft lbs of torque at 100% throttle. Ending numbers of 130hp and 52ft lbs of grunt. Quick suspension question. Since I had my rear shock serviced and swapped oil in my front I was rethinking my rebound/comp settings. I am assuming the old oil I pulled out would be thinner than new oil. So would this merit a reduction in rebound/comp from my settings prior to service as the new oil is more viscous? If so I was thinking about backing everything down a quarter turn for a baseline and tuning at the track. Larry wasn't there so I'm still stuck on tuning my own for now. 10. We ran with 30 last time I think. My father in law did a quick count on the line. If Todd comes we can work on passing each other back and forth to get the hang of it.....then we simply haul ass. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Did you get how many in I for Monday? Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  12. It is open to the public. I have friends come and visit regularly. All you have to do is sign in at the gate as a spectator. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I switched to Monday. There's something about riding in 60* rain that doesn't seem fun for Tuesday. It looks like the showers on Monday will roll in during the evening so we should be good to go. Promo code FORUM2012 gets a $10 discount at checkout! Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Sweet!!! Thanks guys. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  15. I just did a mini resto on my VTX. It's been apart for near 2 years. Good lord it is painful and worth it. Take lots and lots and lots of pics. Masking tape to ID locations of wires is a must. If you have a service manual that will help a bundle too. Good luck. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  16. This is hands down the gayest race to the bottom I have ever seen.....and "race to the bottom" in and of itself could be considered gay. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  17. The guy that owned my bike before dropped it on the trailer and did some damage. It's not too bad but there are some areas in want to fix up and reinforce this winter. It's not bad enough to merit buying new. Here are some pics. I'm looking for somebody local, in central Ohio who does work like this. Any suggestions are definitely appreciated. After I get it fixed it's going back to its original blue and white Gixxer colors. I'm not a fan of a solid graphite bike. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Hhhhmmmmm, I ride up there every year by myself. I'm interested. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Damn! I am doing a standing ovation in my living room:eek: I have never seen somebody so athletic and balanced on a bike. That was freakin gymnastics on a bike. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Pug and play. My father in law did this on his trailer. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  21. I'm doing this from the phone app and failing. This is my tipping in thread where the video link was on page 3. Keith Code Twist of the Wrist II. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=96939 Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  22. I did mine on my 03 VTX a few months ago. 8 years and 20k with no change. The oil was so bad it was causing rebound issues and cupped my front tire to the point it was ruined. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  23. As mentioned it's tough without specifics. It could be 10 different things. I was told to watch this video and it helped me IMMENSELY. Below is an OR thread on it. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t= It will help you understand and diagnose issues. After I watch it I make notes on the pieces I want to work on and little ah-ha moments. I put a strip of blue painters tape on my tank with bullet points to remind me while I'm sitiing on the line getting ready to take off. Between that and getting some hands on at the track you'll be golden soon. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Ha-ha! I stopped at $100. My reading comp is stellar.....when I actually read it. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
  25. Does that include parts and oil to refill the fork? Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2
