Maybe we should start a thread to find a gym with the most hotties in spandex. I can hit a PR on any lift with one of those bouncing around in front of me.

Old School is open to the public and it's pretty reasonable price wise. They do month to month too. The place looks like a dungeon and there are hardly any women there which I believe cuts down on the assclowns trying to peacock for the ladies. A good gym story...... I was at a commercial gym doing rack pulls with 400lbs and as I worked up the little 105lb trainer girl kept getting closer to me. When I pulled 400 she stepped behind me to "spot" me. 1st problem is she would get crushed by 630lbs falling back in her and I didn't ask. 2nd problem is it's a rack pull and you don't need a spotter for dead lift type movements. Again most commercial gyms get butthurt when anything more than 225 is on a bar.

I train at old school gym on the east side. Mainly power lifting but there is a lot of cross fit stuff there too. Good guys and no douche bags since I've been there. They all come to train hard and not do bicep curls and bench press before a night on the town. There are a lot of crappy gyms in Columbus so be careful. Any type of 24 hour commercial gym will pretty much suck. I could start an entire thread on the shit that makes me want to vomit into my hat and put it back on that I have seen at gyms. Trainers getting butthurt when more that 4-45's are on a bar, no grunting sirens, flat billed wannabe fighters shadowboxing like they are Rocky, 90 minute arm workouts, overbearing dad's almost hurting their kids with weights, and I've only been in 3 gyms since January.

I wouldn't switch it. Just in case he does see it and the VIN doesn't match the bike it makes you look like the bad guy trying to cover it up. 99% chance if it won't see the streets it won't see a cop.

My god she is amazingly hot....in that approachable fun girl way, not the starved porn star way.
-
Yes you could. I was just reading a story on a Gixxer forum about a guy that got his bike impounded by the police because they ran the VIN and it had not been registered since 08. The dealer messed up the title work and didn't have it flipped as they bought it from a repo. He will get his back eventually. I hope Barney isn't so caught up he strolls over to your trailer to dig out a VIN either way.

They do produce low frequency. I was meaning relative to 12 or 15 they don't go as low. I also mentioned "high end stuff" because all subs are not created equal. On most installs I've seen 10's aren't used in a ported box since 10's tend to be for space conscious installs. So most I've seen are in a small sealed enclosures which means the bass is not as low as a ported or large sealed enclosure. So if your telling me a 10 can get that low I would assume because I've only heard 10's in certain enclosures I have made assumptions about the woofer that is incorrect and it's more about the box it sits in. Which is it?

If you are going to swap it out later I would just built the box without the wings and go sealed for simplicity sakes. As long as the box meets minimum air space requirements, usually .75 cubic ft or a tad less, you should be good to go. Then spend your time and energy finding a sub to meet the box application, then match an amp to the sub, then lose hearing. Honestly a low grade 10' and amp will bang the cab of a truck so it should keep you happy while you're specing out the rest of your system.
-
Port length calculator on www.the12volt.com. Segment off the pieces and figure airspace on the box and each wing. Then add for a total. Make sure to factor in the thickness of the board you're using, it should be 3/4 MDF. Go to pioneers website and download the manual for this speaker. Off the top of my head I would seal it. Ported boxes produce low grunting bass. Sealed boxes produce tight punchy bass but at a higher frequency. 10's are not built for super low frequency until you get into the high end stuff. What kind of amp are you running? Ported boxes require less power than sealed but you want an amp that runs right at the top of the speakers RMS power range with the amps RMS power. The manual should give you the wattage specs for both applications.

My bike is broke and I need some help :(
donkason replied to ShankroidBeast's topic in Tech and Tips
This is nothing a volt meter can't track down. Google "voltage drop test" and watch a few videos. They'll be on cars but the principal is the same. Start running the meter down the line, across fuses, etc, until you find the dead spot or component. If I can do it a self proclaimed dumb ass can do it. -
There is so much fail in this video. If they were really hard they would have followed him to his stop. Instead they proved how retarded they were. A school of squids in baggy jeans and cut offs grabbing their dicks and acting hard. I've been cut off multiple times. It's part of the territory and when I'm mad I downshift and leave the area doling out a middle finger. Non need to play bumper tag.

On the bike as I type this closing in on minute 30. I think a heavy resistance and a moderate pace is going to fix me up. I'm pointing my toes in like they are on my pegs and my quads are in fire.

Keep your eyes peeled for a deal. I've seen much newer bikes for not much more. I got my 07 Gixxer 750 with clip ons, rear sets, etc for $3300 and it had 3500 miles on it last month. I saw a 2005 Yamaha R1 for $2500 too. Find em and throw em up and the good folks on OR will help. They really pitched in with advice when I was hunting for mine.

Good to know. I have had a bunch of PC done on my VTX and it was all very poorly done. I had the edge masked on my rims for the polished lip and the tape line was crap and full of jagged edges. I've had to go back repeatedly to get it done right.

Yes. Going to respring everything and flush forks after this season. I'm a bit fat for the stock setup.

If you want a cruiser i would suggest a metric bike. I came off a 2001 GSXR 600 in 2003 and got a 2003 VTX 1800c. Plenty comfortable, lots of torque, and it kept me happy. I still have it. They can be had for dirt cheap too.

Flushed fork tubes with triple trees and shimmed up rear 5mm.

It says GPA on the side. Would to Q2 say GPA or Q2?

They are the D211 Dunlops and it's a GSXR 750. I ran 21psi in the rear per dunlop specs for the track. When I got off the pressure had increased to 24.5psi. I backed it down to 23psi. The track was hot as hell, last Tuesday at Mid-Ohio. I hear a 10% increase from cold to hot pressure is optimal and that's what I was shooting for and thinking I was compensating for the intense heat. After lunch the cold pressure said 19.5 so I bumped it back to 21 cold and didn't remeasure during the afternoon. I was hammering the throttle in turn 1 right on that contact patch. I'm still working on entry speed and halfway through I'd realize I was way to low and roll on the throttle aggressively to make up time. I'm a quick novice guy if that helps.

I have watched the Dave Moss videos but my lack of experience is keeping me from making a confident decision. I know two things so far, reduce rebound and increase compression given the wear patterns on the sipes. However, I think there may be more here than that. The Dunlop tech looked at it and said I'm throttling too hard out of left corners, but he's a tire guy and not a suspension guy. What do you guys think. Left side of rear tire. My goal is to heal this so I can pull off another 1-2 track days on it. The Dunny D211 is expensive!

Nothing like a comfy cruiser. Lets see the pics. Don't dangle the worm on the hook and pull it away.

Oil grade has little to do with the feeling of the gearbox. I run Rotella T6 or Mobil 5w40. I go one grade lighter to reduce engine wear at startup and it gives me a good feel at the shift lever. Both oils can be had for a bit over $20 and are compatible with a bikes wet clutch system even though they are "automotive" oils. A 50 grade would be a bit much for street use as the bikes cooling system regulates oil temp. You may justify it if you hit the track and run hard where oil temps will soar. Read this article if you want to learn a lot about oil in general. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/motor-oil-101/

You got 17 good years and she didn't suffer, nothing wrong with that. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I will come to the gym in gear and saddle up in full tuck on the stationary bike while screaming to turn the Techno up MOAR, or have sex while riding. I'll keep powerlifting since that is another sport of mine, but I'll begin to work endurance work on the cycle afterwards. I would love to run a 2 day next year. As of now when I get off my bike my legs are shaking and later in the day my form goes to shit.
