  1. IF this thread, were in a forum with national, or international exposure, You'd see a huge number of outspoken against it and some brilliant arguments why its absurd- outside the "its syrians killing syrians and we're going to stop syrians from killing syrians" (which...really f'ing sums it up as well as any news agency has)

Some forums that actually have folks posting from arab countries, russia etc...NO ONE wants this, and our fearless leader, and now putin are up to something other than saving children and imposing goodness on rebels...

  2. We don't, we blow the current chem weapons cache to smithereens... if they were in fact used by that government...

BWA HAHAHAHA. One doesn't simply "blow the chemical weapons cache to smithereens"  What an eco disaster that would be, lol.

I guess we could call in the power rangers?

  3. I have no idea obama rush into this, he has not learned from bushes mistakes, clearly. I dunno, he couldn't be that egoslung to use this to defer from the looming debt ceiling, or housing, or jobs, or a list of other things like obamacare now, got to be bigger. all those national/local things tend to pale to the shit storm in syria, and there is no way we can['t have boots on the ground- do  we trust..who? to handle the existing chem weps there now? what a cluster fuck

  4. this is one more, for a total of...getting hard to keep track....I think, seven or eight now?

MOSCOW, September 6 (RIA Novosti) – Russia will send another warship to the Mediterranean Sea next week, a high-ranking Russian Navy official told RIA Novosti Friday.

The Kashin-class guided missile destroyer Smetlivy from the Black Sea Fleet is due to leave the port of Sevastopol on September 12-14, the official said, adding that it is to join the Mediterranean task force “on a rotational basis.”

A group of warships, including the large amphibious landing ships Novocherkassk and Minsk, as well as the electronic intelligence ship Priazovye joined the Mediterranean fleet earlier on Friday, he said.

He also said the Slava class guided missile cruiser Moskva will reach the Mediterranean Sea, where it will take over from the Admiral Panteleyev destroyer, on September 17, and on September 29 the missile boat Ivanovets and the guided missile ship Sthil will reach an area off the Syrian coast.

  5. Sounds like they should be teaching Gun Safety in our Schools. :)

I could NOT possibly agree more. Driving training-health courses-stranger warning classes-classes on dealing with bullies-classes on what to do in a fire long list of valuable classes and to ignore firearms is just plain wreckless.

My lady friend during her tenure as a reservation doctor used to hit the schools (PER state request and mandate) to teach kids HOW to put a condom on! yeah, imagine a good looking asian 30 something with a banana and a condom three classes a day, once a week...wtf america...

My son was raised around firearms (I make custom guns) he has next to zero interest in stroking a gun, and he knows full well they are tools and how to handle them. You should see his buddies come here and shit themselves...even had ONE mom refuse to allow her kid to come here...cause, you know..I have like free range guns. and shit.

I had one escape last year, and I think it ran off with some fast and furious types, wound up in mexico..just can't trust them yanno

Top 25 ways to get offed in this country. Doesn't break it down into age groups, etc, but interesting.

Might just keep the scooter another year, and walk less...

breaks it down into a top 25 sort of thing. Seems fat and stupid is more dangerous than motorbikes. Go figure!

    #12: Motorcycle accident

Odds of dying: 1 in 802
It's no surprise that motorcycle accidents are on this list. Riding a motorcycle is an infamously dangerous activity. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) reports that 4,762 motorcycle deaths occurred in 2009, a 10 percent decline from 2008.

    #11: Pedestrian accident
Odds of dying: 1 in 623
But trading two wheels for two feet is not any safer. Statistically, you are better off riding a motorcycle than walking on a busy street. The three U.S. cities with the most pedestrian fatalities per 100,000 residents every year are Atlanta, Ga., with 10.97, Detroit, Mich., with 10.31 and Los Angeles, Calif., with 7.64. Pedestrian fatalities are more likely to occur in large cities with heavy traffic.

    #10: Assault by firearm
Odds of dying: 1 in 300
America is the gun violence capital of the world. According to FBI crime statistics, there were 9,146 murders by firearm in 2009. Like death by accidental gun discharge, death rates for assault by firearm in the U.S. are also disproportionate to similar countries. It has the highest rate of firearm deaths among 25 high-income nations and more disturbingly, the overall firearm-related death rate among U.S. children under age 15 is 12 times higher than the death rates of these 25 high-income nations combined.

  7. Two more russians ships roll into the area this morning, adding to those already there. Its heating up, and obama is acting like a bully who never got his ass handed to him. Putin on the other hand....he's a bit more of a serious player than the hawaiian gifted one is.

The “peace president” is about to embark on his third military adventure, this time in Syria, without having learned the lessons of his botched efforts in Afghanistan and Libya. He hasn’t even learned from the Bush's mistakes — which he mocked with such delight. what a rube

there is an ancient chinese curse- "May you live in interesting times"

  8. dont. get. me. going. on. texting.

    I've seen worse out there.

I think the shining, top of the heap of beyond human stupidity.....had to be (envelope please)

1986, Florida, Three lanes of high speed traffic just a hair south of Tampa.

IN the high speed lane, an elderly man was changing his tire.

As traffic closed, cars/trucks started shooting right, merging into a cluster fuck, and they started shooting left into the berm.

I had no where to go but stab at the brakes and slow down and shoot past the old man humped over the tire iron (car was already jacked up!) between another care sliding in the grass, and where that car was sitting. As I came to a stop. A HUGE semi started jack knifing...just like in the movies, towards all of us. How that trucker managed to jack it back the other way before it spilt over onto its side in the middle of the berm, God knows..really...god knows, cause we didn't. I remember walking up, shaking his hand and thanking him for not killing us all. The whole time this old man is STILL trying to get the tire off!! His wife sitting in the passenger seat just oblivious to the world around.

ugh, f'ing humans, how we ever evolved out of the trees without wiping ourselves out is beyond me.

  9. Nothing on the cause? Dude was drunk.

thats what I heard on the internet radio, he had left the bar and rode home. What a waste. Young man, family guy, his wife found him. messed up on all counts, not the bars fault. what a waste

this site is perhaps the most morbid one yet

up to date, live reporting of bike accidents in Ohio

    http://www.accidentin.com/motorcycle_accidents_in_ohio.htm

I hate looking, but can't help checking it for some reason...

  10. Yup, and solid customer performance as well- took my Marietta Ohio made Honda in for some air bag recall, and they found something else that they replaced for el-freebo, seat belt buckle...stupid stuff, but- good for them vs. sounding like Frank Jackson cleve mayor, "ah, we knew there was ah, problem, but the problem was, ah, we didn't do anything about it, LOL

Voluntary recall, means they are just covering their ass is all.

  11. magpie, I grow tired of an illogical  battle with you.

Geneva convention..which part? where we can't torture? where everyone is supposed to wear a uniform? where we hold prisoners without charge in Guantanamo?

    Hey, guess what?

You were how old when 9-11 broke out, and the world wanted to make things right, the perfect age to sign up, no?

Which part of the GenCon are you talking about, the one in the late 40's? The 50's, or the 2000's? Its been ammended, voted, ratified, battled over constantly.

Suggesting the law of the land is we roll and stomp if someone bends, breaks or steps outside the confines of laws that the UN has tried to impose is bullshit, foolish and not how shit is done.

Perfect world with unicorns and shit? yes.

Real world with a broke nation, parents grieving dead sons, and a fucking leader who isn't worth my urine if his head were on fire? Just yesterday Kerry was arguing that Chris Stone was partly to blame for getting killed at Benghazi.

Almost TEN years now of listening to Kerry, Pelosi, Hillary, and Obama talking about how bad Bush was, and turn around and seemingly want us to forget all that, and charge off to help some Muslim extremists who still  bomb christians, stone gays, cut hands off kids and  behead and gas their own?

    fuck no.
