Getting one of those 2014 VFR 800's for us to test ride would put a feather in your hat. .

The fit in the arms may be why it was on clearance. Possibly others felt the fit was not quite right. What's the stuff used on baseball gloves to soften them up when they are new? Mineral oil? Watch those stitches where it's tight, in case they begin to start pulling lose. If it's too tight, they may also begin to cut into the leather. I think I would take it to a shop and see about having it reinforced at those seams. A place that works on leather would be the best place to go. And ask them about softening the leather. They would know better than any of us, and probably sell a product that would be perfect for the job. Double checking the stitching at the end of each riding season wouldn't be a bad idea. .

Yeah, here I am. Sorry, I was asleep at the wheel. Anyways, I got my GS 500 F almost two years ago. It had 1300 miles on it. Now it has about 6900, I think. I have a 29" inseam and this bike's seat sits at 31.1 inches. I can flatfoot it without stretching, but usually my heals are up a hair when I'm sitting, relaxed at a light. It's my first bike, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm glad I got it and not a 250. I dropped it on 555 and scuffed it up a little, but a change of the handlebars got me back on the road. It's fast enough for me to enjoy. When I first learned how to ride it, I got it up to 45 MPH. Wow! I was flyin'. Now, 80 is the new 60 and I'm having a blast with it. After this riding season, if money is right, I'll have the itch to upgrade to something else. But, I've read that many who have owned one wish they still had it to buzz about on, due to their upgrade being a bit cumbersome for short jaunts to the market, or around town. I've always said that there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with having more than one motorcycle. Send me a PM with questions and I'll tell you what I know about the bike. I'm happy with it and It's some of the most fun I've had with my pants on. .

Anytime is good for me, as long as I can get off work. I voted for all three times, but I think that later in the season gives folks a chance to have their riding skills polished up before taking part in an event as large as ours was last May. Doc gave me a count of around 70 bikes. I don't know how many groups we had, but there seemed to be quite a few. The larger the event, the more likely an unfortunate incident will occur. This is getting to where it may be a good idea to have the medically trained riders spread among the groups just in case something were to happen. And it's not too early to begin a list of those willing/ qualified to lead/sweep. .

Yep. Here we go... Suggestions of clubs seem to not go well in here. There's a lot of poking fun at the idea, and many leave in a huff when their good intentions are met with ridicule and harsher teasing than one should have to endure when approaching under a banner of friendship and brotherhood. We'll post up rides open to others, announce gatherings in far off places, and sit around a campfire, smoking cigars and telling lies. Clubs require something many here lack the interest in involving their time in, though others may be interested. Prepare for an ass raping at the mere suggestion, learn to laugh about it, and give 'em back as much as they give you. Don't stomp off. Just shake it off and join in. Welcome to OhioRiders. Where I work, when a holiday is coming up, we put our name on the list, if we want to work it. The company chooses the number of people they need to work and assigns them to work, starting with the senior person signed up. If enough people did not sign up they draft people with the least seniority on up, until they have as many as they need. This is what seniority is for. You paid your dues to work, or to have off, as you choose. Make your choice. The newer people will have their choice when they have paid their dues. Look out for number one, because no one else will. .

I'm not a loan company. There are loan companies out there that you can go to. I have my own expenses to deal with. I have no problem looking people dead in the eye and telling them, "No". And, the owners of the following, are spot on. It you feel compelled to give it. Give it as a gift. If you get it back, then good. If you don't, you didn't expect to. And this is the one I like the best. Pay a little now to not be bothered by them asking for money again. And if they ask again after not having paid you from the first time, get mad. Get real mad. Go ballistic on their asses so that you insure they will not ask again, and they will know exactly how you feel about it.

You are right. I've been lucky so far. No one has pulled out in front of me yet. I hope I can avoid them when the time comes that they do. .

I hope this is nobody we know. I just heard about this. . COLUMBUS, Ohio - Two people were killed and one was injured when a motorcycle was struck by a vehicle Monday morning. The crash occurred at Westerville Road and Albert Avenue around 10 a.m. The motorcycle was heading northbound on Westerville Road while the vehicle was turning from southbound Westerville Road onto Albert Avenue. The person on the motorcycle died at the scene of the crash. Two other individuals from the car were transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital. The passenger in the car died at the hospital. The driver of the car sustained non-life threatening injuries. Westerville Road was closed while emergency crews were on the scene. The names of the people involved have not yet been released.
