  1. Ahhh, the Connie 14... I wish she came in my size.
  2. I'm wondering if something is jacked-up with the website. I don't buy that Butler Technology & Career Development Schools in Hamilton, Ohio has 33 seats left for May 16th thru June 30th, at 3:30 PM on the first day of sign-up, and no one else has any seats left in the whole state. Could this be correct? If so, it seems we need many more Advanced Rider Courses available to the rapidly growing number of riders than what is currently available. I'm trying to get in an Advance Rider Course. Last year I signed up for the Basic Rider Course the 2nd day of sign up and there were plenty of seats left. Lakewood High School in Hebron, Ohio currently has 79 seats available for their Basic Rider Course between March 21st and June 9th, so surely someone has some Advanced Riders Course seats still available. I'll keep an eye on the website and see if anything changes. .
  3. Yum! ... BBQ ST. Louis Ribs w/garlic bread, steak fries, and a house salad. Blue Cheese, if you please, and yes, add the crumbles, if you don't mind. Iced Tea, and a bite of your pizza when you are not looking. I'll put them on my list to try. Thank you very much! .
  4. Just a few highlights from the website: 6-hour, one-day, range-only course (no formal classroom session) Requires motorcycle license or endorsement Use your own 2-wheeled motorcycle Passengers allowed ...take the Basic Rider Course-2 (BRC-2) as an early-season refresher, to bond with that new-to-you motorcycle, or to gain experience and improve control while riding with a passenger. This course is designed for the experienced/endorsed rider (and co-rider) who want to learn more about reducing the risk of riding and practice skills under the watchful and helpful eye of a trained instructor. Additional requirements for ERC/BRC-2 participants with a co-rider: A motorcycle equipped to carry a co-rider. The co-rider must be at least 16 years old. Co-riders under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign a release and waiver form before any riding exercises. The co-rider must be able to touch the passenger foot pegs when sitting on the motorcycle. Switching responsibilities between the operator and co-rider is prohibited. The co-rider must also pay a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee. Co-rider must wear the same protective gear as described above. http://www.motorcycle.ohio.gov/BRC2.stm I thought about taking this course but I don't want to do over what I can already do, and I don't intend to haul a passenger, unless she's proven herself to be a Grade-A sammich maker. Here's great refresher info for everyone: http://www.publicsafety.ohio.gov/links/mo_erccards.pdf More up my alley may be this: Advanced Rider Course (ARC) Do you already have your motorcycle endorsement and your own motorcycle? If you’re ready to learn how to ride your motorcycle better, take the Advanced Rider Course (ARC). 5. What determines when you will not ride? Is it the temperature? Is it the cold? And what determines when you begin riding again? .
  6. If it's a white Dodge that's stalking you, it's the very same one. Let's get 'em! .
  7. The last ride I took was here >>> http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=101907 I'm still new at riding and I'm still acquiring gear for riding under unpleasant and unfavorable conditions. I'm wishing to learn what to, and what not to spend money on when trying to stay warm and dry, and right side up in nasty and slippery weather. Question: I've often heard the mention of salt still being on the road as a reason not to ride. Is it that salt residue makes the road slippery or is it that it will eat the metal on your bike or both? . .
  8. I'm guessing he wanted some kissing without being charged extra and she wasn't up for him forcing it on her. You can't mix alcohol with business and come out ahead. $1000 for time with her? I think not. She would not have enough money to make herself worth my while. Perhaps she's right up his alley. .

  10. I would find a way to make the animal fear my property. I could get creative.
  11. There are some bad ones out there and I don't want to get pulled over by one of them. Do we now need to keep our cameras hidden? On Memorial Day Weekend, motorcycle rider Chris Moore was arrested by Dallas Deputy Sheriff James Westbrook. The arrest was part of crackdown against sport bike riders. Moore says Westbrook made up a charge in order to gain access to the video camera mounted on his helmet. http://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/Sheriff-suspends-deputy-who-seized-bikers-camera-169543346.html .
  12. ...and I'll bet she can't boil water without burning it.
  13. If she would learn to cook, I could probably learn to like her and tolerate her hanging around.
  14. I see flowers poking their noses out of the soil in the front yard. Is spring sneaking up on us? I look out the window. What? It's snowing! With over a month of winter still ahead of us, and the arctic-like weather we are often plagued by in early spring, the temptation to get out and ride can be overwhelming at the slightest hint of sunshine. In the event we succumb to mother nature's deceptive tactics and find ourselves on two wheels, in a snowstorm the weather man drops on us without warning, any thought of being a nice day for a ride quickly will fade from my mind. How could we be better prepared? Can a ride in the snow be something to look forward to? Could we find this enjoyable with tires meant for a bike on snowy roads? What other items should we think about? I found a little advice on the internet in the following link, but if you can share things you've learned with some of us new guys, maybe we can stretch our riding season to a degree that makes a winter in Ohio more bearable. http://www.mc-addict.com/aguidetowinterriding.htm .
  15. She's nice eye candy but you will get hungry after a while. So, my question always goes back to the basics. Can she cook? Some of my favorites not only cook but look tasty while doing it.
  16. Somebody must have put something in the water tonight. I think we all need a week of warm weather to shake off the cabin fever we're suffering from that seems to be making us a little testy at times. .
  17. "Each racer and up to three crew members, who can be armed with one tool apiece, not to be larger than a 22mm box-end wrench, have the opportunity to sprint 40 yards to the podium and grab whatever trophy they want. Pretty much anything goes in that 40-yard dash, so we expect the beatin’ and bangin’ and kneecappin’ will make that Gordon-Bowyer thing look like two pre-school girls fighting over Barbie dolls."

    Hi

I got my first bike in April. It's a Suzuki GS 500F. I'm still learning and enjoy the twisty roads. A bigger bike is somewhere in my future. I'm still figuring out what to get. .
  19. I wonder what's next. Imagine having your door busted down in the middle of the night by jack booted thugs if you live in Florida or Maine, just so they can examine your electronics. It's coming.

  21. That's exactly what I am thinking. I'll bet that even if he surrenders to his attorney, in front of the news media, with all arrest procedures televised, and is kept secure in protective custody, somehow he will end up dead before he can have his day in court. They want him dead no matter who they have to kill to do it. This is authority run amok. They must have some very deep and dark secrets they do not want exposed. .
