That must explain this one of you that Pokey posted on: Page 3 of Ohio Riders Motorcycle Forum > Time Wasters > Off-Topic Funny vids, post them up. So funny, I'm still laughing. .

Does your waterproof gear breathe well? When I hear "waterproof", I can't help but think air-proof as well. .
-
Just put your hands on them when they are cold and see if one seems to be heating up significantly faster than the other one. .
-
Is the fuel free flowing from the tank? There has to be an obstruction or kinked line. Run a coat hanger through the fuel line. It has to be something so simple you will smack yourself in the head later for not thinking of it. .

Brands? Rain Boots? Gloves? Pants? Jackets? One Piece Suits? What's your advice and recommendations for wet weather riding gear? .

We got a little group forming up, in Newark, that is planning on riding down together. If you want to join up with us, shoot me a PM and we can all stay on the same page as far as times, route, etc. So far, it looks like it's me, Hutch, Mike_N92 and a couple of his friends, maybe. Jnor, how about you? .

Wish I could have made the party but getting up at 3:00 AM for work the next day puts a cramp in that. I'll see you guys at the Epic Ride. .

Interesting article. With a full tank and very little air in it, I'm not seeing condensation as a problem. .
-
Keeping your fuel tank full eliminates room for air in the tank. The less air in the tank, the less of a chance that condensation can form in the tank since it's the air has carries moisture. I believe ethanol helps to absorb any water from condensation. It could only attract moisture that is already in your tank. Better to burn it out than to have it sit in the bottom of the tank and give you a rust problem. Rust particles are not a good mix for a fuel system. I've used gasoline with 10% ethanol for decades without any problems at all with carbs, fuel injection, or fuel systems. It keeps things clean. Methanol (a wood alcohol) was the corrosive alcohol that did a lot of damage when they came up with blended fuels. .
-
That's a positive sign. Gasoline left for a while evaporates and leaves a varnish behind that needs dissolved if it gums up. Carb cleaner dissolves it but it's best if you can prevent it altogether. I put Seafoam in my tank around Thanksgiving, and each time I fill up when I'm not riding much. Hopefully it will keep everything clean and keep the fuel stabilized. .

Hmmm....didn't think of that. Can you pull a plug wire and attempt to start it without frying any electronics? If so, and it doesn't start, plug that one back in and pull the other one and try again. That could tell you if one side isn't firing. .
-
Got a spray can of carb cleaner, with a long nozzle?
-
It needs ignition, fuel, and air to run. It's getting ignition. It's getting air. It's getting fuel, for a moment. I think the fuel in the carbs is burning off faster than it is being provided. Something is restricting the fuel flow. The carbs may need cleaned out, which the seafoam is good for, otherwise, you may not be getting adequate fuel to the carbs. Change the fuel filter too. .

You are skilled and knowledgeable and they know it. They see you as an asset and will consider that, when a vacancy opens. You are a resource they will keep on the back burner until they need you. It's at that point in which you can say, I'll do this for you in exchange for you doing this for me. Ask for more than you know they will give, and settle for more than you were getting before. Make them understand that, you moving back into a position similar to your old one is more a favor to them and for doing so, you have needs beyond what your previous compensation package was suitable for. .
-
And for you in blue who may not believe you get enough positive feedback, we appreciate being giving a break when there is no victim as a result of our actions. :plus1: .
-
Hopeful, you can still move on to something that fits you perfectly. Just keep looking while you continue to work where you are. If something promising comes up, you can check it out. .

Sorry to say, you devalued yourself to them. Your offer to return to them should have been under the conditions that they sweeten the agreement under which you would provide them your services. The reasons for your dissatisfaction with the job still exist but now they know you are desperate in that you returned begging and accepted, for less than your true value. The conditions under which you accepted the position failed to be upheld by those making the promise. Additional hours requires additional compensation in a proportion greater than 1:1. Make your demands known without compromise and agree to nothing more than 50 hours at 5 days a week. Trying to better yourself is an admirable trait that a potential employer should appreciate, and shows that you may be likely to go an extra mile for a company in order to advance to a higher level. .

Doesn't that just suck. They persecute their own and their families. If that's their way with other LEOs, imagine their attitudes towards the citizens. It's the, "I have the power to victimize anyone I please if I feel like it and there is little that can be done about it" attitude that gives us a powerless feeling that we don't particularly care for. True. I did see a video posted on here of a vehicle turning in front of a bike, coming from around a curve, at what appeared to me to be a brisk rate of speed, with comments placing blame on that driver as opposed to admitting their speed severely diminished the driver's ability to react to a motorcycle coming quickly out of nowhere. Officially, beginning today, (mark your calendar in red) I hereby declare DUI fines to be a tax. Okay, I feel better now. Your trust level is your concern but it has been said that you should get a 2nd opinion. It would certainly reinforce a stereotype about auto-repair shops taking advantage of women if she was the one who dropped in to have the brakes looked at. Those business practices would encourage me to be skeptical of repair shops in the future. Some things I learn quickly.

I'm guessing the bolts are between 3/8" and 1/2", according to this chart you may find useful. How many newton meters in 1 foot pounds? The answer is 1.35581794833. 1 newton meters equals 0.737562149277 foot pounds. http://www.raskcycle.com/techtip/webdoc14.html .

Those were not my words. I said I prefer to avoid them. .

While America does the Harlem shake, the rest of the world points and laughs.

I used to have a positive attitude towards the police until I was victimized by two lying Columbus idiots that fabricated a story right in front of me that was very far removed from the truth. That did it for me. Now, I just prefer to avoid them. They make the truth to be what they say it is and if you have no one to back you, you become a victim. .

It seems there is a negative stereotype that some cops put effort into living up to; like it is ingrained in them during training and expected of them by their peers. One of them is enough to deal with. Two of them is bordering on problems. Enter a black female cop and any white man is a shitbird that's always wrong even when he's home sleeping. More noticeable positive behavior, and less authoritative heavy handedness would go a long way towards creating a better public image. You are the tool the government uses to have it's way with the people. The government is out of hand and the people are fed up. It's not a free country anymore and law enforcement seems to have become predatory in it's enforcement practices. Speed traps; a way of taxing faster drivers for a victimless infraction. Do more positive things and more videos will be made of it. There are many awesome videos of motorcycle cop competitions. That's positive in my mind, to a degree. .

Day off work. Rain. Crap! Winter still here. Glad I got a ride in yesterday. Felt good. 70 miles. Roads not bad. Sun shining. Watching Laura Calder on Cooking channel. Wish she was cooking for me. Now, another coffee, I think. .
