I'm Free Don't grieve for me for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone will stay that way, I found that peace at close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss, Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss. But not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life has been full, I've savoured much. Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief Don't lengthen it now with undue grief, Lift up you hearts and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free. Author Unknown

But people didn't get their guns back. The government stole people's guns and they got nothing in return. .

I'm happy with these. I can zip off the leg panels for air in the summer. I was way overheated on the dream ride with these over blue jeans. I should have taken out the quilted liner. They have a wind liner that the quilted liner zips into. I like 'em. I got them from the Iron Pony store. http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=237&cat=4 Flex Pant • 600 Denier Carbolex® shell converts easily to an Armor-Link Mesh shell, and vice-versa. • Phoslite® reflective piping helps to increase nighttime visibility. • Heat resistant material panels line the lower inseams to help protect the pants from engine heat. • Thigh length side zippers allow for ease of dressing. • Double stitched construction throughout. • Dual elastic panel waistband with adjustable waist belts and a 2-snap main closure. • Removable, CE approved knee armor with Tour Master's exclusive 3-Position Knee Armor Alignment System as well as removable soft hip armor. • Stretch materials in the calf, inseam and knees provide flexibility and a performance fit. • Includes Tour Master's removable, 2-Stage Aqua-Therm® liner; the first stage is a waterproof/windproof liner, and the insulated second stage can be easily attached for additional warmth. • Adjustable waist belts, with TPR pulls, help to fine tune the fit. • Features an 8" pant/jacket zipper attachment with the jacket side included. • Can be combined with Tour Master Flex jacket.

Where I work, you will drown in your own puddle of blood before you are attended to, so I made up my own kit. Good or bad, right or wrong, this is what I can remember putting into it. Maybe something on this list can be added to your list. I've used some of these items for myself and others. So far, it seems to have more than what I've needed. Adhesive bandages of varies sizes plus ones for knuckles and fingertips Triple antibiotic ointment Band-Aid Hurt Free Antiseptic Wash Sterile Latex-Free gauze pad 3 in x 3 in Gauze roll - sterile 4 x 131" 3M Coban Self Adherent Bandage Wrap Paper surgical tape Adhesive wound closure strips New-skin liquid bandage Burn relief gel with lidocaine Instant ice pack Bausch & Lomb Eye Wash Tylenol (acetaminophen) Advil Cold & Sinus Caplets Nitrile gloves scissors fingernail clippers sharp tweezers magnifying glass to find small metal splinters flashlight with extra batteries I've broken down amounts of items into smaller quantites so that everything fits into a 3" x 8" x 12" box, except for the flashlight. A roll of paper towels makes a clean work surface. .

I'm guessing that if they were in a tall building, they may jump out the window. People have jumped off of bridges. Sleeping pills and alcohol? Painless. Self hanging? What if they had no bullets? They would have time to change their mind or they may find another way to end it. If a person is going to do it, they will find a way even if they have to jump in front of your car on the freeway. .

Quote from that article: [ You know that line, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people?” It’s true, so far as it goes. But in the United States, when people decide to kill people, or kill themselves, they typically reach for a gun. ] It doesn't matter. Take away guns and you can make the same statement using the word knife, or sticks, or stones, or being tossed off a building. Until we get some morality back into society it's only going to get worse. Until human life is respected, there will continue to be killings by anything that can be used as a weapon. .

Gotta extract that last nickle from the consumer before the tax man takes it in a couple months. .

If it's a Char-Broil H2O Water Smoker, I've used mine for 20 years and never seasoned it once. It's self seasoning, it seems to me. One word of advice, if it's a charcoal smoker, make sure the flame has burned out before you place the body on the fire pan or you will burn the paint off of it. Don't ask. .

I kept a sign on my door when I lived near the OSU campus many years ago. I never had any problems with attempted break-ins. .

Finally, it wasn't passed off by a backwoods deputy as ol' Johnny, just another good ol' boy having a little fun with some city boys.

But, it makes your residence a target for being broken into when you are not home. Guns are highly desired items for thieves. I wouldn't put a sign in my yard stating, "Guns are stored here." Publishing private information should be a punishable offense. .

I can't believe the effort you girls go to, to appear as though you care when you don't. I prefer to do nothing and make it obvious that I don't care. Any money spent for them is like flushing it down the toilet. You can save 50% of what you spend on them by sending it to me and putting the other half back in your pocket. Just trying to help with your holiday expenses. . .

Sorry, couldn't help it. Some things need saying. .

I find the upside down flag quite appropriate for our times. Here's a bit I copied from the web that reflects my feelings. I think we should all fly our flags upside down, at least until the White House is vacated by the current inhabitants. The upside down U.S. flag is an official signal of distress. It is not meant to be, and is not officially recognized as any type of disrespect when so displayed for the right reasons. To the contrary, here is the relevant part of the US Code of Laws regarding how to fly the flag when in distress: THE FLAG CODE Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10 As amended by P.L. 344, 94th Congress Approved July 7, 1976 § 176. Respect for flag: No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor. (a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. Most individuals who have served in the military service of our nation will (or should) recognize this signal. As a result of the many traitors and enemies we as a free people have, both foreign and domestic, as a result of the many unconstitutional acts, legislation and atrocities passed and/or committed against US citizens and their life, liberty and property, and as a result of policies that have allowed (and continue to allow) enemies of this nation to enter in large numbers through a porous border policy, I believe the life, liberty and property of US Citizens are in dire danger and distress. ...that is all. .

>> It'll make that week easier on you. ??? It's sounding like I'm being punished for something I have no part of, and my only option is to attempt to make the punishment less. How about she stay at her place and the times when she is "well" we can spend together. I don't have to bend over backwards or keep silent to keep the peace and she can heal. I'll visit and then go back home where it's safe. .

Hmmm......Sounds good for a fair weather seat only. Memory foam, huh? Thanks for the heads up. Still learning here. .

>> ...they arent being very holiday-like and claim they dont want to exchange gifts? I certainly wouldn't waste any effort on them. It seems they have already expressed their wishes. .

Doesn't matter. Might still apply to someone giving thought to a get-a-way. .
