I was hoping one of you young guys could explain what the hell I just watched

I wonder how long it will take for the race card to get pulled its always a good fall back position these days

hard to believe but its been 27 days since the start of the ride For some reason I can not do quotes or up load pictures from photobucket the last few days.

I guess it is just how you look at it I ride 52 miles one way to work every day this may sound crazy but I love moving thru heavy traffic (480) during rush hour it is my 2 favorite times of the day and the best stress relief I have found it also cuts 15 -20 minutes off my commute time each way. Even stop and go city traffic is ok with me I play a game that I call the slow race I try not to put my feet down ever and see how far I can get it all fun to me. Country riding is just a bonus.

I do not get to ride nearly as much as I would like so for me any time on the bike is Quality time

My American legion post has a mileage contest every year for the Legion riders it starts April 15 and ends in late September. We did a check of mileage so far it appears I am winning with 8710 miles so far this year I will add over 1000 more this week riding down to the dragon and back. It would be fun to win the bragging rights probably would have won last year but I forgot about the check in date and missed it. I’m pushing a little over 36,000 on my 2012 so far.

I hate the asshats that come to a full stop look at you coming and then pull 2 feet forward.

Change of plans going down the 17th with friends instead

I have only had one day off work since we got back I will try to send everything in this Friday if I get a chance. I still have not even looked at any of the video of the trip I took. My coworker comes back to work today so things should get running a little smother now. We should do this again next year and hit some of the places we missed this year I would like to spend a little more time in the Keystone area next time.

I’m confused what is everyone trying to tell me Sport bikes are faster than Harleys you guys are too easy I have owned a KZ1000 since 76 So I have a little bit of knowledge of what a sport bike will do You guys are just suckers for pot stirring and it is a fun way to entertain myself when I can’t ride I bet not a one of you have the balls to go to a forum like HDForums and talk the same kind of BS I do here and stay for two years. I will say this everyone single one of you that I have met in person have been OUTSTANDING people and I would ride with you anytime It will take a lot more than a little bit of ragging on my bike to scare me away. But Jim is right 24 pages :lol: PS I really could less what anyone rides everyone on 2 wheels put their ass on the line everyday doing what they love and that's all that matters. It is a shame that so many of you are Harley haters your missing out on meeting a lot of great people out there by attacking everyone that post to this forum I took a chance going on the Rushmore run knowing how things are on this board and only meeting TONIK 1 time. I’m glad I did and would do it again anytime.

Yeah Harleys suck. My Softail is always getting bugs stuck on the windshield and contantly needs gas after I ride over 150 miles. Not only that, but the engine heats up every time I use it and makes clicking noises for 45 minutes after, and sometimes when I pull out there's a squealing sound coming from the rear tire - on the highway it gets very windy. The problems never end.

I’m not going to worry about getting the Iron-Butt award If they deny it that will give me and excuse to go back next year and see some of the places we did not get to see. I spent about 6 hours cleaning my bike and putting the bling parts back on I took off for the trip Tuesday only to ride home from work for an hour in a thunderstorm Friday. I thank you guys for the input on rider position while cornering I will try it and see if the position of the dirt bag on the bike really makes a difference. LOL

I have never seen a motorcycle I did not like

Let’s say you’re on the road thousands of miles from home and you discover a problem with your bike how long would it take you to find a dealer and get it to them how long would it take them to get the parts you need and get you back on the road would they give you a loner for a few hours to run around on until they got your bike back on the road? There is a lot more to Harley loyalty them most of you know.
