That reminds me of when I was in my 20s I use to do the same thing ever time one day I had just finish sinking up my carbs on the KZ so I took the bike for a test ride thru the neighborhood when I got back to the house a guy pulled in the driveway behind me and started to scream at me about the speed and kids out riding their bikes. About that time 10 of the guys from the club I use to ride with pulled up and parked in front of the house they were a real ugly looking bunch of guys so before me and the guy that was yelling could finish our conversation he ran away looking a little worried. After thinking about it I realized things can go wrong fast at that speed and place. Later that day I saw him out mowing his grass and stopped and apologized to him and never road like that in the neighborhood again

My Harley is faster then I ever need to go. Or for that matter want to go again I had it up to 122 last year and still had a Charger blow past me

My bike sheds water well as long as I’m moving the only things that get wet are my feet I will be in pirate gear for the ride unless I need to pull out the ranger suit for rain

I ordered a new rain suit for the trip the kind that has all the padding knees hips spine elbows shoulders. It has a very good rating on the web and very good reviews with one saying they road for 8 hours in a downpour and stayed dry the whole time. Well it came yesterday don’t know how good it will be I tried it on it fit very good but when I walked out to show the wife she could not stop laughing for 20 minutes. I’m going to keep it because we road home from Yellowstone with no rain gear a few years ago and it rained on us for 1500 miles. It’s black with silver trim reflectors. You guy might get a good laugh out of it also if we hit some rain I hope we don’t. I might take a mental health day Monday get the bike out and head to Peninsula.

Sometimes I find it difficult to keep my eye on the target I always use a card board box layered with old newspaper and a 4x6 rubber cow mat as a back stop. You can get the mat at tractor supply Bow1.bmp bow.bmp

My son was a police officer for 7 years in the town here are before and after pictures the brick building is on the far left side of the top picture. Those buildings were 150 year old tinder boxes

Only 80 Day to go and I still have not had my bike out for a ride. Looks like most of the salt is off the roads May have to say hell with it and start riding

You should have done it would have been good for a laugh I got the shirt and it looks good The wife let me know I kind of messed up our 39 year anniversary is June 15. OOPS We will have to be partying that night when I call her.

90 days to go

I have the same problem but I get 6 weeks this year plus 5 mental health days. the only problem with the vacation is I have to give them 30 days notice We could also wait until the shirts come in and meet then

If you mean the 29th that would be good for me. Yesterday I dug a path thru a 6 foot snow pile so I could get my bike out of the porch the snow plow pushed it in front of my porch all winter long

Saw 4 bikes out in the brine today nice day for riding but I will wait a few more weeks.

Not to change the subject but I would love to try this some time I tried to get our ALR post to set up a coarse like this but where can you get that many cones I ride 52 miles to work every day in the summer and one of the games I like to play is to never put my feet down so I have gotten pretty good at very slow speeds I think I could do this with a little practice Anyone know where I can find this layout plan. http://youtu.be/xAWFGu5by2I

Back in 76 when I got my KZ1000 almost every Harley I came across wanted to race most of the time I was 2 up with the wife we would be at a light when it turned green my favorite thing to do was to always let the Harley take the lead thru the first two gears I would hang on his back wheel and stay in first gear until I heard him shift to 3rd then I would go to full throttle and do a full power shift to 2nd by the time my front wheel would touch the ground again we would be at least 5 bike lengths in front and still pulling away. I hated Harleys back then but time has away of changing your thinking. The KZ is not stock it is 1170cc with a few extra mods the turbo is long gone I found out I could get better times with high compression pistons, better cams and 4- 42mm Mikuni Carbs the transmission is beefed up after blowing 2 gear which they were famous for. Now days I think 90% of the Harley riders know better If not they learn fast and we only build our bikes to play with other Harleys and mine is not stock either but I have learned to do as many mods as you can while always trying to keep it looking as stock as possible. I know I can not beat the new rice burners on either bike any more but it is still fun to mess with the squids LOL

I got hit by a 23 year old girl talking on her phone with no insurance in 2010 I ended up with $180,000 in medical bills 2 broken hips a mirror thru my stomach and 3 months out of work. There is no excuses for not having insurance NO SYMPATHY HERE. I did get some satisfaction she called my house about 3 weeks after the accident and asked for me I recognized her name on the caller ID when I answered the phone I told her that he doesn’t live here anymore and that he died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. That might have been a little cold but it made me feel better at the time.

I will get the check in the mail before Friday All filled out and addressed just need to get a stamp. The day time temps should start to stay above freezing in the next week it won’t be long now.

The motor has had 20 sprays so far. I do not know what year the bike is but a lot of the new 2014 Harleys with 103ci and bigger are now water cooled
