  1. No sweat would not be the first time I got wet won’t be the last But as I said before theses guys could not get the weather right even if they were standing in it Cant wait but will need to change oil the week before we go.
  2. This whole mess was the fault of the lead rider He may not have been liable but his fault non the less and if she would have tried to slow down she would have hit the horse.
  3. Everyone have fun one the ride Sunday can’t go I will be going to my granddaughters dance recital and can’t make it back on time.
  4. I take it for granted every horse will panic when 3 or 4 bikes blow past them at probably 70+MPH especially coming head on 99% of the time they only see vehicles at 35mph that is a big difference in speed and sound. That video is one of those young and dumb learning experiences that I think she will not do again. Coming home from Geneva on the lake last year we came up on 25 to 30 buggies leaving church there were 15 of us and we past slowly going in the same direction but almost every horse reacted in some way and a few came a little in to our lane. You need to be smarter then the horse.
  5. Not a good picture but its the best one I have When I got hit on my bike and was laid up for 3 months he would bring me mice everyday I will take some better ones and post them
  6. Our cat is very territorial with other cats But he is friendly with all the dogs in our condo association and lets them come around him with no problems But he is at least 2X bigger then all of them. he also love kids when we moved in some of the parents were afraid to let their kids out when they first saw him he is so big. In our house what’s his is his and what’s ours is his. He is house trained and rings a bell when he wants out. he also comes when we call him. He will also play catch when in the mood.
  7. Cats are smarter then most people think We have a Toyger cat that thinks he is a dog. That cat was probably with that family before the boy was born.
  8. It is a digital read out dip stick that Harley sells for their bikes. Oil level needs to be checked engine off on side stand oil temp can be checked any time. It works great as long as the battery is not dead I need to replace mine I’m glad this came up I will do that today. It lasted 3 years.
  9. I solder every wire connection I make and seal it with liquid tape Saves you a butt load of trouble later learned the hard way on boat trailers if there is any chance of it getting wet do not use those cheap connectors and going strait of the battery would not be a problem if you use a fuse in the line. If you are only running a GPS or Phone a 5 amp fuse would be plenty if you are going to run something with more power draw you can always change the fuse to a higher one.
  10. I just push a button and it tells me the temp and oil level
  11. I don't think my buddy Rusty will be able to make it
  12. I had to replace my battery last week Im glad I had a pile of gift cards All I need to do now is change my oil I will do that the day before we leave.
  13. Thanks I ordered the Wasabi power pack It will be the easiest for me I have a lighter outlet in my saddle bag so it will work great I can do the battery changes at stops in less than 5 minutes I will also have my laptop with me on the trip to Mt. Rushmore and will post pictures and videos at the end of each day if I’m not to wore out. I also ordered a few extra 64 GB micro cards just in case.
  14. I have mounted mine everywhere on the bike the coolest looking pics are when I mount a 5 foot broom stick to my sissy bar and put the camera at the top pointing slightly down ether forward or backward you get some nice shots when riding in groups and on the twisties
  15. What are some ideas for charging the batteries while riding they only last a little over 4 hours and I would like to record my trip out west.
  16. Accu Weather forecast for June 12 Brilliant Sunshine high 74 low 51 Hope they are right but I have learn that they could not predict the weather right even if they were standing in it.
  17. For safety and liability purposes when they test tires they cannot have any failures of at least 2 times the speed rating so you are good. When I worked for Eaton Corp our hydraulic hose could not fail at 3 times its stated working pressure At 130 that could cut our time down to under 10 hours counting gas and food stops
  18. I do not mind leading. just wanted to give you a heads up. I also wear ear plugs on long fast freeway rides at 60 my bike is not loud Im only running about 1800rpm at 80 about 2800rpm anything above 3000rpm it gets LOAD
  19. Guys on the ride out and I will take the anchor position I do not think you will want to listen to my pipes at 80+ mph for too long. But I will take my turn at plowing the road to be fair when you want me to. I got out for a 250 mile ride today and my hips are sore. I need to get in a lot of saddle time between now and when we go to get back in riding shape.
  20. Never hold the door for a woman in pajamas at chipotles on your lunch break and she might walk past you never say a word then order 22 different burritos
  21. If you were in your car the automatic camera on the patrol car would not have alerted him to the owner of the car not having a license since you have one to drive it so yes you would not have been pulled over
  22. My son was a full time cop for 8 years you would be surprised how many criminals with warrants out on them that they catch that way also some of the newer cars have scanning cameras that do it automatically Welcome to the new world I could argue both sides of this also
