  1. Thanks I have a buddy that's a master mechanic for Harley I give him the cards and he gets me what I need.
  2. She use to be that way when we were in our 20s I use to run my kaw at the drag strip I had a turbo on the bike we would run 2 up and run 130 in the 1/4 mile We also use to drag race in down town Cleveland late at night depending on the bike we were racing she would always say on the bike with me back then there were no other bikes that could touch me except for another kaw but after my last wreck she has changed her way of thinking.
  3. J_T I have $375 worth of those gift cards on hand after the holidays Your right I think almost every relative gets me one now I use mine to get tires, fluids and parts I think I have collected enough Harley gear over the years to dress a whole ship crew Tonik I have no problem making sparks but the wife bitches every time we do and keeps telling me Im to old to do that anymore What has age have to do with it. A few years ago I bought a set of ferrocerium flint steel wear plates for my floor boards. They get epoxy to the bottom of floorboard when they hit the road they spark like a huge Zippo lighter I never put them on the bike my son told me they are illegal to put on cars and bikes because they can start fires during the dry season
  4. Welcome if only I could be as old as you
  5. You could really give us all a good laugh if it was the pink one
  6. This argument is really comparing apples to oranges, Harleys can be great bikes and may be less reliable then metric bikes and are usually purchased by fat old posers however there are exceptions, they are meant to be loud and look cool. While sportbikes are usually purchased by young dumb squids who brag about performance figures they can not personally exploit also with a few exceptions, In the end who cares just ride what you like.
  7. The only gear I wear when I ride is a helmet, gloves, boots and a leather coat if it’s not too hot. Otherwise I’m totally naked
  8. NO the big difference is the power rangers know they are going to crash and the cruiser groups do everything they can not to I did a search of crashes by bike category here is what I came up with. Insurance Stats Cruise.5.7 deaths per 10,000 registered motorcycles Touring.6.5 deaths per 10,000 registered motorcycles Sport.33.2 deaths per 10,000 registered motorcycles
  9. I do not know where you get your information from but I put 585 miles a week on my bike during the summer just back and forth to work I also ride with about 30 other HD riders from the American Legion in Ravenna And we have a pool every year the rider with the most miles at the end of the summer takes the prize the lowest miles for the group was a little over 3500 I ended up with over 9000 and still did not win. And yes we do stop at a lot of bars but we do know how to have a lot of fun. As far as safety goes we had 0 accidents last year on every one of our rides can this group say the same. On resale values I currently have a 2012 Softail Classic that is paid for I am looking at up grading to a new bike a 2014 Street glide Special for a difference of about $4500 counting upgrades Exhaust intake and supper tuner so the way I look at it I’m only paying $4500 of a brand new $22.000 bike. I like all the lame attempts at flaming HD and their riders thanks I find it funny but if you guys really want to learn how to do it right go to some of the big HD forums and do a search on something like power rangers
  10. Im good for 1 at 5XL Looks like I need to get a new rain suit mine seems to have shrunk from lack of use. It still fits but will may be to tight if I have to wear my leather coat under it.
  11. Im in for the silver/gray also I have to many black ones already Its the Harley thing and the white ones never make it past the first place I stop and eat or drink LOL Tokin Thanks for taking care of all the planning It sure makes things a lot easier for the rest of us.
  12. Skully Helmets new heads up display I might have to get one of these
  13. Same as me just along for the ride but my bike has GPS if we need it I also have a GoPro 3 on my bike I just need to pick up a few extra memory cards I’m figuring we will be lucky if we finish up the first day under 18 hours nothing ever gos exactly as planned. I do not need to be back at work until Wednesday so everything is ok with me
  14. I work in a retail home improvement store a woman walks up to me with about 10 fiberglass driveway markers in her hand and asks why are these pointy on one end. Another woman is looking to buying a portable air tank I show her a 10 gallon tank and tell her it will hold 100lbs of air she says that is to big I can’t pick up 100lbs Another woman (I’m starting to see a pattern here) buys a 20 foot extinction ladder I take it out to her car there is no way it is going to fit in her car so I tell her she will need to get someone with a truck to pick it up for her She calls me a dumbass and she will load it herself so I watch her drive out of the parking lot with it sticking out of her back windows like and airplane wing If I had time I could fill this page up with stories like this.
  15. Anyone remember theses I could get them going so fast they would explode and send glass shrapnel thru the whole room.

  17. I have not been thru there in a few years but I think there were about 5 or 6 in the first 20 miles west of Chicago they were across the freeway and not at the ramps like Ohio was a pain in the ass
  18. I use this mounts to inside of windshield http://www.jpcycles.com/product/541-485
  19. You’re a tall one and the same age as my oldest son I still got you on weight I’m easygoing and quiet but once I get to know you I will talk your ear off been around long enough that almost nothing will shock me or gets me mad anymore and I’ve been married for 38 years to the same crazy old woman.
  20. I like the first shirt the best also my age is a little younger then what you see on my profile I do not put that stuff on the internet because of ID theft Also I get my shirts a few sizes larger because after a few washes they shrink and make me look like I’m wearing one of those midriff shirts and you do not want to see that. Ya that sounds about right LOL
  21. Rooms are booked for the first 3 nights. I can wing it the last night also not a bad idea to get past Chicago before we stop. Traffic in that town sucks any time of day definitely do not want to hit rush hour traffic. Sunday night would best time to go thru. If we don’t make it past Chicago I will sleep in and get a late start Monday. Both shirts look good if we get them made I will need a 5x I can get one and get it to you if needed
  22. I snore bad also but I can sleep thru anything If you can do the same your welcome to bunk with me. Jim do you need help with finding the rooms I can help Or are we on our own to do that would be nice if we can all stay at the same places. How many rooms do you think we need
  23. I have sat on them laid on them slept on them and screwed on them but I have never tried to steer one
