  1. Since you guys are so strong against the fact of cutting off that caliper I have removed the clamp and ill just deal with it tomorrow..
  2. Hey now guys, the bike is not rideable with how bad it pulsates.. It's only temporary for a ride with my father tomorrow then she's gonna sit till they come in. Off my case now?
  3. Indeed I did crimp it.. I work in the auto repair business and have a special tool for clamping off brake hoses specifically. No worries I just didn't clamp it with vice grips.
  4. Right sides bent.. Makes Sense since one day it just happened, out of no where. So for now I just crimped the hose to that caliper because its so bad. But if anybody has any laying around for 00 zx6r j model ill buy them from you!
  5. how do you like that bike? mines a 00 and i want to get a newer FI'd one, and for what i seen 08 seems to be doing the best mechanically.. your thoughts?
  6. yea, min on them is 4.5 milli. and theyre at 4.65 now, i was just going to try and get something a little better then what theyre at.. but i never though about a hone... ill try that first..
  7. I have the capability of turning my bike rotors, as I have a pulsation from the fronts, anyone ever done it?
  8. Yea, turkey day tomorrow it supposed to be really nice so I made ride to the family's house but after that its supposed to get real cold.. So it's coming soon.
  9. ^^^^ this I usually have ear buds in and I swear people hear me singing all the time, even through my helmet and over my exhaust!
  10. And hey doc, that had better not be the last ride I have with you..
  11. Can't really see but my dumbass sticks my hand out mid turn at 2:50. And it appears my tail lights keeps flickering.. Ill have to check that out..
  12. Yea that's how 480 is in the morning too.. It's all idiots that drive
  13. Rhill, being in Cleveland, your not too far from Rick roush motorsports, I get all my crap from there and always reliable and most items are cheaper, check it out, it's not too far from us.
  14. If you still have it around tax return ill buy it.. My wife needs a newer one, she's on an 02 Kawi 250 and its time for better.. Sadly I was also looking at the 300, for being a smaller bike they look amazing and compare to size as a 250. I say go for it, my family is all Kawi and I plan to stick to it.
  15. Good idea.. But as said, I know I can pull my front brake lever and turn my light on without actually applying the brakes, so I saved myself the expense and time and just made it a habit..
  16. I ride everyday it doesn't rain. My commutes about 25 miles and 90% of it is 60 or faster. I wear thermals under jeans, snowboarding jacket, and some el cheapo leather gloves from Walmart that have proven best over all other gloves so far. I have no fairings on my bike, she's a streetfighter and I don't get too bothered.. Sometimes my hands get a little cold, but I just ordered hand guards to block the wind.. So we shall see!
  17. Well see, that's the thing, I use a hammer, duct tape, and spit shine to work on cars all day, and when it comes down to doing major work on my own vehicles, I don't want to do it.. At all..
  18. Can I post in this topic to see if someone wants to do it or a different topic?
  19. ive looked all over the internet and asked people around me, and there are no other bikes that i can find with the same problem..
  20. My streetfighter, with no fairing has the ability to blow me off at about 120. Holding myself to the bike becomes a difficult task at 140.. But I also have 0 fairings, so I feel full blunt of the winds power.. Just do as they say, gradually come up once you've slowed a little bit and if it feels too much much then sink back down a little bit.. Don't mash on the brakes at first, start out light to strong.. Too much at first and you lock the front up for just a split second at that speed and your done.
  21. Yea sounds like you have a bad battery man.. A battery can read 12volts all day but as soon as you put a load to it and it dumps down that far, it's bad. Most it should drop to is probably 11.5 on a bad charge. But bolts don't mean squat either.. You can have plenty of volts but if there are no amps it means nothing. I'd say change your battery and double check your charging system.. It's normal for relays to start going haywire with low voltage.. I'd explain it but its too much to type on a phone.. Start with replacing battery.
  22. Yea, this sounds like it will fix it up right..! I would definitely start with this..
