thats a big loss of protection. BUT i would enjoy knowing is i was about to get rear ended or not. like the idea, but hate the funky shape and loss of protection.

so here it is, its "almost done", i just need to repaint that green cover and its done, but i rode it today and everything seems fine. im going to put a couple hundred miles on it and re-torque everything to ensure its all staying tight. i have about 35 hours of assembly in the winter cold garage, but it was well worth it i think. right now i have the muffler off, and may just cut it down to a straight pipe, but im going to ride it a little more and see just how loud it is and if i can deal with it. it wasnt too bad today but i wasnt really getting on it either. what is used to be building her back up and the final, like i said minus the green cover i need to repaint.

so im just throwing this out there, who from the clevend area (elyria, euclid, oldmsted etc.) would like to do a meet up somewhere? doesnt have to be with a ride, but just a good old get together or something of the sort, i may be able to put together a bonfire here in grafton before i move to the new house. this is just a thoughts thread that may turn into something real, just trying to get a feel.

That's what my bike looked like from the end of December. Except mine was tore down to literally the engine just sitting there. I finally got it backtogether Tuesday night. I'm really itching to ride it

^^^ this man does have a valid point. and as far as seeing worse, yea, im 25, im younger, but i have seen much much, MUCH worse then this. this really isnt "horrible" to the eyes as much as it is to the emotions. if she were slitting their throats and then drinking their blood to THEN throwing them in the river while they gasp for air, yea, that would be sickening. ill post some videos if youd like that will make you horrified to even open your internet browser again.

Well, it's most of the way back together. Fired her up for the first time tonight, but with no coolant, so it was very momentary. But so far it looks really good. Lots I little bolts left over.. Oh well. Lighter is faster right?! A little more wiring up front left to be done and some other minor things. But I'm whooped. I think tonight makes about 25 hours since Thursday night I've spent putting this thing together. And no more pictures until I roll her out for a test drive.

anyone else see the multiple car wreck there between 83 and 80 on 20/10? i seen about 8 cars involved, some barely touched while others trashed. havent been able to find it on the news yet though.

yea, i originally purchased a DID chain from ebay, when i received it, the box was DID but the chain was not, so i sent it back and got my money back. id rather have a DID or an EK, i heard a lot of good from the both.

looking for a chain, needs to be 525 with 108 links (unless you have a chain breaker) i prefer it new (so the one you have laying in your closet you havent used) it needs to be O-ring style too. no volar chains either. i know chains are relatively cheap, but id rather buy something thats been sitting around with you guys and take it off your hands ready, now GO!

Gorgeous man, I love Kawi and you just put a monster turbo on that thing. What kind of boost are you planning on pushing? And just be careful with that turbo in twisties. Going through a turn and she spools I wouldn't want it to make you lose traction. But awesome bike man, awesome!

took all my frame parts and other parts to get powder coated. they blocked off all the screw holes in everything, welded the stress cracks in the frame very strong. warned me about the nylon bushings in the swing arm and how hot the oven gets to bake the powder coat. all for $250 out the door. its $150 for 80% gloss black for everything you can fit in a 10ft by 4ft bin. when i dropped it off to them (a thursday) they originally told me 2 weeks. i got a call that following monday that it was done. overall very happy, powder looks great and was done very quickly.
