  1. 61 mph would be realistic in actual conditions when ridden with zeal, and possibly a little higher if used as just a casual country roadster on the weekends. I base that on my heavier DL650 with a Gladius engine in it, getting a real-world, measured, lifetime fuel economy of 54 mpg in combined highway, city, country, dirt and gravel riding across OH, WV, PA, VA and MD.
  2. Wanted. Too big for me though. GLWS!
  3. No doubt - I was just making fun of the practice of weighting everything including stalk and dirty root ball for the total weight and multiplying it by the highest street price for the lowest gram bag available. It's a dishonest way of overstating the value and distorts DEA statements of "We got three million gazillion dollars of drugs off the streets with that raid..."
  4. Based on DEA valuations, that's almost two plants, $42 in currency and three grateful dead mix tapes.
  5. [Chuckle] Sorry man. Maybe you will take comfort knowing that others elsewhere will profit from Ohio purist's illegitimate consumption.
  6. It's possible that emotionally, MJ is more valuable to you as an illegal activity than as a legitimate one. You crazy rebel you.
  7. Ditto, and yet I share Tonik's incredulity. Why someone like IP would vote to keep their harmless-to-others activities illegal based on a purity argument is beyond me.
  8. Point is moot now. Unsubscribing - all the navel gazing in the world won't legalize MJ in Ohio for another couple admin cycles. I'll gladly eat my words if I'm wrong, but other states will go before us now.
  9. There's a part of me that hopes that's exactly what will happen tonight, so that the constitutional purists who helped to cast doubt on #3 can feel smug about another decade of wasted taxpayer money spent on BS enforcement and imprisonment.
  10. I won't trust any issue results until at least midnight.
  11. If I were shopping for value ADV bikes again, I'd definitely look hard at the FJ09, Tiger 800, V-Stroms and Versyses.
  12. These are great bikes; GLWS!
  13. Which is funny, because a whole lot of baby boomers smoked a whole lot of grass in their day.
  14. Too true. Was a PTO secretary once. Glad I did it, but never again.
  15. Funny, I have a CB700SC rack they can have but I'm never in the area.
  16. Winter is coming. And so is the butthurt! [emoji16][emoji38][emoji3][emoji6][emoji4][emoji18][emoji8]

  18. I've worked infosec, physical sec, risk, development, project management and high-impact system support jobs for much of my career. You adapt to the thanklessness of the job and the long, unpredictable hours & organizational stress, or you find something else to do.
  19. Whatever we can do to make you happy, that's what we're here for. [emoji106]
  20. Maybe BadTrainDriver needs a bike again - not sure where else the sandy folds are coming from. IANAL either, but that's what I heard from the couple of cop friends I talked to. Knife appearance, length and opening mechanism influence the cop's discretion. What you're doing at the time of discovery has a bearing on it, and yes, your own appearance and age can as well. I doubt a cop is going to slam compliant grandpa with a gentleman's folder against the ground unless grandpa is robb'n, kill'n and steal'n at the time. Conversely, an opinionated young punk with a spring-assisted 3" blade in a tacticool handle might have some 'splaining to do. Personally I prefer not to carry spring-assisted folders unless they're short like the smaller SOG Flash (which makes a great wire stripper for an electronics professional BTW). Even better if they have an engaged lock feature. Flippers are probably OK if they're well below the 3" mark. Anything bigger gets hung on the outside of my pants, and in all cases, if a cop "engages me," I'm going to take the first calm opportunity to politely inform him with hands clearly visible that I have a pocket knife in my front right pocket and then ask him how he wishes to proceed. Respect for his safety can go a long way in demonstrating benign intent. Again, IANAL and YMMV, but those are my thoughts. I really wish I could attend this training!
  21. Looks like a great course! Alas I can't make this one but will look for another round after December if it's held again.
  22. Agreed, but the more states they have to deal with, the more diluted and hopeless the federal efforts to stamp their foot down will be. Tonik and others are right - do NOT assume another measure like this will come again this decade. I'm a YES, even though the law won't affect me one bit because I'm too invested in my job, pilot's license and CHL to risk losing them over tokes.
