  1. Will that robot need to be put down now that it has a taste for humans?
  2. I'll most likely make it one of the days this year. Wish I could ride up my '66 CB77 but work and other things have been taking too much of my garage time.
  3. Ditto to Tonik. What about manslaughter and property law? And no love for it being illegal to dump industrial waste in your neighbor's lawn or public land? And it wouldn't bother you in the least to have no legal recourse against banks under-disclosing their terms, then foreclosing on loan just because they said they tried to contact you? And I guess fraud is OK, and tort and libel should be free to conduct without consequences?
  4. With any luck the public will end up paying for unanticipated transfer fees and prep expenses in both directions, to maximize the private profit and job claims.
  5. That's actually a very fair point and is also in line with the whole "government is bad, umkay, so let's privatize everything for more jobs, mmkay" line of reasoning so fundamental in today's conservative platform (and also by tea partiers and many libertarians). I agree with many things in the GOP agenda, but not this one. It's one of the many negative consequences of an exclusively pro-industry bias. Signed.
  6. SOLD to a new rider. And proceeds funded a 2006 DR650! :-). I'm happy with it so far, and going through all the maintenance items to get current with the intervals.
  7. Another recommendation for the movie. And an ending you probably won't expect that will twist your noodle.
  8. Just make sure you plan for a site disaster. To many of us think we'll be good by just backing up data to an external hard disk, then we fail to rotate them off-site or into a fire vault every day. Dropbox and Carbonite are excellent solutions in that regard, and they don't convert your files.
  9. Nice bike! V-Stroms are outstanding scoots.
  10. I love my UniBamaCorn. I pet it, and it gives me even more free government stuff.
  11. Ditto, I've been delighted every time I've worked with Mike and RD.
  12. I stopped in for a DR650 part today and was delighted to see the Honda bikes added near the emerging Ducati area. Still plenty of accessories, just arranged differently. I think it's fantastic. My wallet, however, is even more afraid...
  13. Looks great! Comfy I hope? I'd need that seat's lumbar support for a foot-forward position...
  14. I bet the woman started the shit by getting all wound up about it and putting her mayannn in a position where he had to show his testicles or face emaciation from her, for not standing up to the big, bad motorcyclists.
  15. Yea, Dayton's not exactly the land of curves and trails unless you can find a private land owner willing to let you play. Pataskala is closer to Coshocton and Wayne National Forest. There's a ride in Hocking Valley on the 7th I might attend - Http://www.hockingvalleymc.com - and several of us V-Strom, GS, WR, DRZ, DR, etc. owners get together once in a while.
  16. We picked a 2012 Mazda 6 over the 3 to replace my daughter's Ford Escape. Paid about $14.5k and she absolutely loves it. Great engine, nice fit and finish, lots of room, quiet and is nimble. Not as good mpg as the 3, but more pleasant to drive.
  17. Congratulations! The best thing I've ever done in my life, without any shade of a doubt, is becoming a dedicated father to a wonderful little girl. My kiddo just graduated HS last Saturday, and I'm just as proud of her as I was on her birth day. Congrats again Chevy! Oh, and watch that exhaust manifold.
  18. +1. Having grown up in WV and losing my grandfather to black lung, I saw that first-hand.
  19. I think that's a bit harsh, but that said, Jack does have a point, Justin. If you're still looking (since January 19), you may want to step up your recruiting game and figure out why you're not landing the right relationship(s). Jack's right in that 99% of your job posting outlines an extensive set of requirements with just 1% of what the candidate should get out of it. That might be sufficient in a buyer's market where you get 100 applications for every job, but if you're still looking or have such turnover where you're always actively looking for a replacement pipeline, then you might be doing something wrong. What are other dealerships offering in terms of pay, hours, benefits, growth opportunities, equity, bonuses, training, etc.? You don't have to answer that - I'm in finance and don't really care, but those are the kinds of things we have to continually adjust based on the market of any given job class.
  20. It's the "holy shit, all apocalyptic hell has been unleashed" risk of nuclear disaster that always gets me. And the huge construction cost and plant build times. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_and_radiation_accidents_and_incidents
  21. Not much, green-wise. But the other attributes are interesting.
  22. Perfectly fair point. Maybe replace that feeling with Winning MX Races, Rip Arms Off With Torque, Adjust Motor Parameters Until Perfect and Sneak Up On Enemies Silently For The Perfect Ninja Kill.
  23. 100% agreed, and I electric MX bikes could revolutionize where people allow MX tracks to be built. Don't be surprised in 5 years if there are electric-only parks.
