  1. I've been riding to work. Now that warmer weather is here, I finally got the salt washed off.
  2. I'll vouch for Tim. He does a great job. If you ever talk to him, ask to see some photos of his work. He had done some amazing work.
  3. I'll leave this here: http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/4948977053.html
  4. Usually I side with locals over states and feds, but I hate red light cameras. How about the government living within their means. Columbus got a significant income tax increase a few years ago. Enough is enough!
  5. Sounds like fun! I wish I could go.
  6. Of all the issues in this world, riders protecting their hearing should not be an area of concern. While I have never had it enforced, riders not allowed to wear 2 ear plugs shouldn't be law.
  7. Option 5: invest in a sport tourer.
  8. If you end up deciding to go down earlier, let me know. We will be down in the area.
  9. I am leaving on the Saturday before. I am riding BRP then meeting jdonn at Deals Gap. Downside:everyone but me is on a cruiser.
  10. Heated gear is nice. If you think that you may ride in some rain, wax your wind & face shields. It will help shed the rain drops. In the cold, stop more often. Hypothermia can set in quicker than you think.(Unless you pick up heated gear.)
  11. Waterway of the United States gives the Army Corps of Engineers authority for approval of another Dam. This would become a beaurocratic mess. We are working on some dam spillway improvements for CBus, and we got shutdown just before starting work. They forgot to get the plans approved by ODNR and Army Corps prior to bid. We have been shutdown for months.
  12. Slightly off topic, but I bet talking to the seller of this bike would be interesting: http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/4922848716.html
  13. This is sad. On a separate note: Her English teachers should be ashamed.
  14. Definitely get armor in the jacket. As the saying goes: buy the best gear that you can afford. Waterproof and breathable, if you can afford it. Good gear will be more comfortable, and you will be more likely to wear it. If you do get in a wreck, good gear will save you significantly more than its initial cost in potential hospital bills.
  15. If I let my insurance company log my motorcycle trips, I would be concerned that they would drop me.
