  1. Just speeding, I don't have to go to court so I'm hoping its just 2.
  2. 51 in a 25? 2 or 4? Goddamn Gahanna bitch cop messing up my racetrack. Smartass bitch cops in Gahanna don't like speeding Miatas.
  3. Welcome back Phil, oh wait was was the ban button I pushed?
  4. Not really on a full weight car, you could do it if you went pretty aggressive, but i think Waggs wants to be somewhat adjustable with the power so he can index race.
  5. I got to drive it, and being a GM guy it pains me say how nice it really is.
  6. I've looked into that junk, oiling problems, boost leaks, interference with sub-frame connectors, and whatever else. Fuck that noise.
  7. Yes they will, bolt patterns are all the same. I have an LQ4 in my Camaro remember?
  8. They're both 4L60s for LS1s, which means they are direct fit into any 99-05+ LS based vehicle. One is missing the bellhousing, both missing the tailshaft housing, neither of which is expensive. You have to take both of them and you can have them cheap since nobody else will come take them.
  9. You want one ready to go? I have 2 cores in my garage, but not one that works, one lost second the other lost forth.

    COOL!!

Well on my crappy 15" CRT I only have to be about 12" away, try harder. and stop being such a negative nancy.

    COOL!!

Thats neat. Jeffro can't follow direction aparently.
  12. Well Wags there are about as many way to acomplish nitrous or turbo as your imagination will allow. IMHO you'll have to decide on the major aspects. Do you want to keep any creature comforts? Obviously much easier to do with nitrous unless you spend big bucks on turbo stuff. Do you want to be able to return the car to stock at some point? Again easier to do with nitrous, but not impossible with a turbo. How often are you actually going to use the power? Certainly not every time you drive it, but this goes into how fast the cost of refilling nitrous bottles will catch up to buying all the turbo stuff. When you do build an engine how radical are you going to go? Nitrous is pretty easy to upgrade in sections, a turbo that'll work well on your stock engine (not just the actual turbo, but the piping, intercooler) will likely need a lot of things re-engineered to see its potential on a built engine. This will likely be argued my many people but I'm a perfectionist. Personally I like both power adders a lot, and can understand why it gets to be a hard decision. I have lots of ideas for both so if you want to sit down and draw up some of what goes through my head we can do that, you might find something you like.
  13. Nail on the head. Just have to see what the clubs are going to have for schedules at this point.
  14. Anybody wearing that shit is looking for dick. /thread
  15. Just pull the plug out and let it run down in the hole, if it's a lot of oil you can crank the engine over with the plugs out for a few seconds, it isn't going to hurt anything. Then replace the valve cover gaskets and o-rings, make sure your new gasket comes with the round seals for the top of the spark plug tubes. Make sure the wires clean up and haven't softened up, plugs wouldn't be a bad idea at this time either, some $2 NGKs while you're in there.
  16. Not sure what you are refering to, maybe you can take a pic? Some cars don't have test ports, just FYI.
  17. I have a set of injectors from my 02 f-body if you're interested.
  18. This is a very good and valid point. and yes purging is the awesomness.
  19. I'm biased, you know what I could do with your car if you turn me loose on it. Seriously though, you can do nitrous cheap enough and even switch to a turbo later, obviously a turbo has a higher up front cost, and nitrous will make up for it with bottle fills. They are both fun. Even more seriously just get a damn turbo.

    C5 Z06

Well in my opinion its a pretty mixed bag, the C5 has the better engine if left alone, with the C6 base having better asthetics. It's really personal taste, I don't like the extra electronics they put in the C6, but for modding the drivetrain you'll get great results. The C5Z is great if you aren't going to do a lot, but I don't care as much for the look of the car to the C6. Really as similar as these cars are most of it is personal preference, and what you want to do.
