  1. Shitty, I'm going to assume you're okay since you're posting about it.
  2. Road courses are much more expensive and harder to do, autocross is meant to be somewhat of a tight course. The slower speeds keep insurance costs down, and make it more technical. Now there are tighter courses then others but its pretty hard to not have them.
  3. there were some good looking car sluts around the Fiat booth, trying to make the Abarth attractive.
  4. This. Does the car have some kind of security, factory or aftermarket?
  5. Anything as old as a Supra and I'd run compression on it. As for Supra issues I don't know.
  6. Didn't say it was right just said that its how I was raised. It can be very easy to make it an argument, especially if its discussed like my family taught me.
  7. My god doesn't hate me, he's too busy ruling the firery underworld to care.
  8. Well I agree with you, but in order to not discuss my political veiws thats all I care to say. I decided after the last time I voiced my opinion to stick with what my parents taught me, keep your political veiws and religion to yourself.
  9. Eh, just being nice. :lolguy: oh wait I'm done being nice.
  10. Cool, you should get a lot more use out of LS1tech that way.
  11. Welcome to the site, nice intro, clean MR2, and the same interests as most of us, hope you enjoy this site.
  12. This. The support just isn't there, but you can hang on to the hope for a few more months.
  13. Congrats, did miss whether it was a boy or girl?
  14. Keep this on topic, cleaned up non-relevant bullshit.
  15. Sent messege, hope it helps you.
  16. You're correct, I automatically think of a racing helmet. So basically if it's legal at Trails it will be legal here. Just make sure it hasn't expired.
  17. Pretty much just a helmet, a seat belt, and car that isn't falling apart. The tech inspection is a little more involved then at Trails because techs will be checking not only battery hold downs, but will be shaking on your wheels looking for anythign loose, good tires, and making sure the springs on your throttle body will spring it closed. Nothing major, just general saftey stuff. Keep in mind that a tight autocross course will not allow much speed so specific saftey stuff isn't as much of an issue.
  18. Not a big deal, and very easy to get started. This is a great condensed version of what goes on at most autocross events, just ignore the Miata specific stuff. http://www.buckeyemiataclub.com/autoX/Buckeye_Miata_Club_Autocross_Info.pdf
  19. Interesting, I don't remember any waiting period when I joined but it's been a few years. What screen name are you using? I'll go look and PM someone on your behalf if you'd like.
  20. There are lots of things to consider if you're interested in doing an autocross. Those of you who have never participated in an autocross need to be aware that these events require much more paticipation then just driving and socializing. You will have to work corners and pick up cones while others are making runs. These things are a big group effort, not that its hard to do I just want people to have some idea of what this would be. Keep in mind I really want to make something happen with this, so please show you're interest and experience with autocross. Obviously you don't need to have done this before, so don't let anything intimidate you this is pretty easy, and the more experienced people will just make it easier for the beginners.
  21. I made it up there yesterday as well, didn't think about having a camera until I got there. Really a good show.
  22. Seriously? Two things here, we are talking about some bullshit on Comedy Central so why it would be on CNN's site is beyond me, and Hitler was a Socialist. Hitler would be rather the opposite of most of that. I do find it funny though.
