So what is it about Newt and Mit that you guys don't like? IMHO its going to be one of them getting the republican nomination, and since Mit gets so much media hype I think he may end up. From just a "hype" standpoint Ron Paul seems to be the underground favorite because he sure isn't the mainstream media's. Quite honestly I haven't seen a clear message from any of them, but I won't vote for Obama.

I'll admit that I haven't actually had insurance from very many places, but I've been happy with the switch from Allstate to Progressive. I was also leary about smaller companies especially when a woman hit my wife with Safe Auto and their customer service was shit. I was actually involved in an incident with someone who had Progreessive and they treat me really well, then when I was shopping around and they were well priced my decision was easy.

Didn't think a few of those posts would stick out in someones mind about me, but I guess I've defined myself by being fairly open about my opinions. My wife got as big a kick out that engagement ring thread as I did.

I have become sick of being taken advantage of because of my mechanical ability, knowlege of cars, electrical experience, or outright desire to help people. I am tired of being called, PM'd and bothered only when someone wants me to do something for them. If you want me to work on your shit most of you know where I work and you can take it there. This is in response to all the times I've been treated like I'm getting paid when I'm not, loaning parts that were supposed to be replaced, getting bitched at when I'm trying to help you, and outright wasting my time. To the few people on CR who treat me like a real friend you know who you are and that this does not apply to you. I will provide my opinion in the tech section since its my option to post there. I'm only sorry that in trying to be nice and helpfull I've became so bitter, but when I realized how much less popular I'd be if I knew nothing about cars I stopped careing. I wrote this for two reasons, the obvious, to say it, and so I don't have to repeat it.

Let me first say that yes Farkas put a huge effort into his cars especially the Toyota, and like his brother know how to do a nice job putting stuff together. I can respect what they've both accomplished. Now I don't think the author of the article is butthurt, but is writing about some butthurt people. I'll admit there are some things that I hate on, mostly because I'm mostly about functionality. All I want my cars to be is good at whatever I have them for. None of my cars make people pay attention to them, not on purpose anyway. This is what makes it hard for me to appreciate a riced out car that does nothing but scream "HEY LOOK AT ME!". Anyway the article makes some sense, but people really need to learn to accept the internet and get some thicker skin. When people realize what I'm doing to the Camaro after I made into something a lot of people on this site respected, I'm going to get flamed. Especially when those same people see me playing much more with a Miata. I think it's hilarious, I'm going to laugh harder when I get asked to street race because it isn't happening.

Streetablility is a matter of opinion, I wouldn't mind DDing anything with a duration under 230. I had great gains all across the board back when I ran a 224 cam, bolt-on car. Kind of wish I could go back to that. Keep in mind that LS6 cams have a smaller base circle that would require the correct push-rods if you aren't using LS6 heads.

There are lots of ways to do front brakes, not so much for the rear, and short of road racing the rears aren't really worth all the trouble IMHO. The trouble with the rears is the movement you get in the c-clip axles pretty much neccesitates a floating caliper, most "performance" brakes used fixed calipers not alowing for that movement. Hence why Corvette and CTS-V brakes aren't easily adapted to the rear. If you buy the brackets to do the Corvette front brakes you can use either C5 or C6 brakes since the spindles are the same on the Vette. However there are some good write-ups on doing CTS-V brakes, and I like this option better.
