  1. Those have had lots of purge valve issues, I could see something like that being an issue but it usually would set a DTC when those leak.

Also pretty sure those had recalls for the fuel tank sender, so that's something to look into.

  2. I like late evenings when it's nice enough to have the t-tops out of the Camaro or the targa out of the Vette, and since I live on the east side I head in on 670, down 4th street through downtown, and back 70 so I can blast the long ramp from 70 east to 270 north. Something about looking up at the tall buildings through an open roof I like, used to do that in the Miata too.

I like lots of different drives, the 555, along the Ohio river, north east Licking county, but the above is one of my favorite short drives.

  3. I was happy to go with an ARM loan from Mark, I got cash out, and have drastically improved my wife and my credit by paying off most other debt. We planned on converting to a 30 year fixed, we may do that or we may sell. Either way Mark made sure we understood everything going on and it was certainly our best option at the time.
  4. An f-body and a truck have very similar cases. The only difference is the back half, I beleive the truck is deeper. I know the little bracket on the back that an f-body uses doesn't work on a truck alternator, so when people put the truck alt in a factory f-body it's just mounted by the front 2 holes.
  5. Awesome car man. What are the c5 years/options to look for?

Well that's a loaded question. Any of the issues on these cars can be fixed, and since I don't spend money other then parts buying an early car didn't other me much. Most people prefer the 01-04, a few upgrades from the Z06 hit every car and most of the bugs were worked out by then. I personally think a 99-00 FRC would be ideal for modding, but not easy to find a nice example compared to how easy some other C5s are to get.

  6. XSPower looks like quite a deal --- $675, free shipping and the website says "*New Version III *Revised for better steering shaft clearance and O2 clearance!".

    Thanks for the info.

Fyi, I have the "version 3", I'd hate to see what the older stuff fit like.

  7. At the time I did the clutch most of the exhaust bolts at the manifolds broke and damaged the flanges on the manifolds. I needed to do something more then I wanted, and since I refused to track down more manifolds I bought cheap headers. I didn't want cheap headers and may still change them, but it is what it is. I bought XS Power headers from Huron Speed. They do fit and were not overly hard to put in. The x-pipe fitment isn't very good and leaks a little at the header connection. The headers rub the steering shaft randomly because sitting still there is clearance, not sure if the header is too close or the motor mounts move a little more then they should being old.

I'm not sure if I'd buy Kooks or American Racing headers. I've seen Kooks on a car and the install and fitment was great. LG and all their overpriced Corvette shit can keep it, their customer service when trying to get some info was shitty, will not buy.

  8. 90s with 100% humidity right around the corner.. Ohio's two seasons are like would you rather fuck a dude in the ass or get fucked in the ass

    This.

i would have enjoyed a few weeks of 60's and 70's

    And so much this.

I told many people last month, how we were just going to skip spring. Can't have "nice" weather, just too damn cold or fucking hot.

  9. Depends a little on how you raise your kids. I wouldn't hesitate to have let my daughter see it at 9, but I also don't shelter her. I could see some thinking it's a little much for some youngsters. I took her with me to see it, she's almost 17, and we were both pissed off at the end.
