It definitely matters, I hate green especially dark green and would not buy one, just strikes me as an old man car. I also do not care for loud look at me colors like red and yellow, those I feel don't suit me. I love my white cars because they are a little understated, look clean and simple with black accents. My daily is black for the same reason, doesn't stand out and when cleaned up it looks nice. I feel like car guys would notice my cars and notice that someone cares about them, but they wouldn't turn heads and attract attention especially from a non-car person. While we're on this color topic, I hate tan interiors. I also think black wheels are played out and unoriginal at this point. To me a polished or chrome wheel is what's timeless not some cheap looking black wheel.

I doubt you want to go through the hassle of a axle flip kit. However low you can go with shackles and hangers is what I'd do. Obviously spindles in the front are ideal, but there should be enough alignment adjustment to do springs in the front without issue (except maybe a harder ride).

Every pair of boots I've tried outside of Redwings are worn out in 3-4 months, now I just replace in insoles every 3-4 months and get a little over a year out of my boots. I've tried Rockys, Cats, and Wolverines. I'm willing to try out something else if someone has had good lick with them, so I'm interested where this thread goes.

Has to be an early RX7. Always had a shoft spot because Dad was a Mazda tech the wholr time I was growing up and he had a handful of people who would have him do work on their 7s at home so there was typically a first gen RX7 around.

The Coffee portion of the event doesn't bother me one bit. It's a shame Cup O joe had to leave, but I don't think it's worth putting too much effort into. I personally don't think I'd cruise to Dayton for another Cars & Coffee, because going and then getting back home by noon so I can enjoy the rest of my Saturday is one of the reasons I like CC&C. I'd be interested to see how much interest you get for that. I may be down for a fun cruise but I've tried that a couple times to no avail. I think you're keep it simple method has worked great until now.

Does it have iron heads? If so it's likely the heads. If not then I'd bet on the coolant stem port in the head, or the coolant plug on the head. The intake doesn't have coolant in it.

Done plenty of work on those and have actually never seen one pop a head gasket, however I have had a couple heads off and I bet it snaps half the head bolts off. It's not an overly difficult head to R&R assuming you can keep it in time (even with the tools it's hard) because if not the oil pan and front cover have to come off more then doubling the work. If I was quoting this job I would quote it for removing the oil pan and front cover too, and cut a break if the timing chain tensioner doesn't break. The tool to hold the tensioner is literally a brass wedge that you hammer into place, it doesn't work well and I've seen it break old tensioners. Either way, I'd suggest buying another car.

Leave the Suburban outside, buy trailer, leave that outside too. Build barn, buy a different toy if you want. Or just give up and get a Speed3. We are too old to not have fun all the time, must have good car to have fun with whenever the need arises. Not a daily, something special.

$600 is insane, my house is gas and our gas bill gets up to maybe $150. Something seems seriously wrong if you're burning through that much energy. Do you run A/C in the summer? Similar cost? There has to be some sort of energy assessment that can be done to help figure out the most effective options.

I'm so confused as to this post. I can't understand why you would post this. Out of everyone you've raced on the street can you name a few victories? I mean I might go so far as to say my Camaro beats 60ish%, and your welfare Supra would be in there.

Some of that sounds interesting, but seeing videos of stupid goofball shit really turns me off. I assume it was Lemons or something that had random shit stuck all over the cars for themed racing. I don't know anyone that does it, maybe I have the wrong impression of it. It struck me as a junkyard running around a track, so I never looked into it. If I'm wrong I would get more interested but I'm not sure who I'd do it with other then a few friends who wouldn't follow through with it.

Well let me tell you this, GM has already told the salesmen and the techs that these diesels are great for people who do alot of traveling, but as we saw with the Cruze diesel these will have issues making lots of shorter trips. They foul out exhaust sensors and get clogged up with soot. They have to be driven longer distances on the highway to run through their regen programs. If you don't buy it to do lots of traveling then you'll hate it. I've driven the Colorado diesel and it's not anything special.

Haven't seen much out of them yet, but there is surely more that can go wrong. They now have active fuel management and auto stop, and a really cheap looking unlocking rocker arm design for the AFM. I've only had one apart so far (failed because Valvoline let the oil filter fall off), but I'm sure it'll be something. I'll admit that they run decent but the auto stop ruins the smoothness of it's performance when you go to take off and it chuggles. The only thing it shares with the old 3.6 is the displacement.

GM's entries into the midsize SUV crossover segment are complete shit, buy something else. Never thought I'd say that, but I work on them and wouldn't own one. The new Acadia maybe, but only if I was going to get rid of it before the 3yr/30k is up.
