  1. Did you ever happen to upload any of this content for others to view like on youtube or something? I'd like to check it out and see the quality.
  2. Glad you like it... I've never had the adhesive give way unless I tried to detach it from somewhere and re-use it elsewhere. They definitely are single use units. As far as the quality of the mount itself... yea, probably upgrade to the GoPro mounts for added durability.
  3. Indeed fantastic news... I've reached out trying to confirm as well! Let's go JOHN! We knew you were a fighter!!!
  4. You know Vulcan Tonik, you don't know FZ6Sonik - This is a new man desiring to drag knee and shred tires. It's a man destined for inside passing through blind corners. He will leave your ass in the dust!
  5. If I didn't have the OHMM2017, I would definitely be in for this. If the weather is good, I'll be staying down overnight in Hocking Hills and doing a loop on Sunday if you wanna hook up along the way.
  6. I promise I wasn't searching for that. I was talking with some other riding buddies and they asked if I saw it... I said no, so he sent me the link.
  7. The bellypan of another racing bike flew off and hit Boyd on the helmet at tremendous speeds, knocking him out cold. But Boyd continued travelling at high speeds, veering off to the side, his body limp and leaning before he finally crashed to the floor. It could have been a lot worse if he had managed to stay balanced on the bike, as it continued to smash into the hoardings, branding it a write-off.Writing on his Facebook page, Boyd said: "The bellypan made impact with my head at speeds easily exceeding 140mph."I was knocked unconscious immediately, allowing my body to fall back and drape off the side of the bike."Luckily, I have no memory of the incident, only that I had left pitlane and woke up in hospital with blurred vision coupled with seeing different colours in each eye."All I have is a totalled bike and some videos to put meaning to the mess."Had I have stayed attached to the bike upon impact, I doubt I'd be sharing this with you now."I have been extremely fortunate to come away from the crash without serious injury. I will certainly never do a Trackday again."
  8. Update from the Family --- John took a great step today. He is now breathing on his own. They've removed the ventilator and I believe they are starting to remove the sedation. They are not allowing visitors at this time as he needs a ton of rest. This is incredible step from when I was there on Saturday! He truly is a fighter! Keep fighting John!
  9. I want to get everything I can out of the first novice track day. I want a coach to help me improve BP. I don't want to bump to Intermediate on my first day. However, at the last session, I may request a rider coach to evaluate me so I can possibly bump to I for the next track day. I just want the bike to be fully prepped.
  10. I will say... going fast on a naked sucks. The wind just beats you to death. Especially after 500 miles. I'd rather go 500 miles on a superbike than a naked. Just my opinion.
  11. I want to prepare to do everything to be ready for intermediate or advanced... (not that I'm skilled enough for that), but I want to learn the full process from the start. Primarily in case I can get bumped up by the end of the day or something.
  12. Already planned on switching out to water wetter... Sounds like I've got it all figured out...
  13. I guess I didn't explain what I was thinking.... I'm certainly going to learn from the rider coaches while on the track, but I meant more for everything else along the way. Such as bike prep, setup, where to go, when to go etc.
  14. I am in for this. Approved for the time off. Will be my first ever track day. Hopefully someone will help show me the ropes. @TimTheAzn
  15. I was at the hospital for over 6 hours yesterday and I've gotten a much more fuller story. The honest truth is he is in real trouble. He is unable to do basic commands such as squeezing his hand. This falls on the same level of brain functioning as swallowing, so the neurologist believes he is unable to swallow either. As a result, they can't remove the ventilator in fear he'll suffocate on his own saliva. Therefore, they can't un-sedate him fully because of the ventilator. He is unable to breathe continuously on his own, he tries like hell, but just can't do it. They've taken him off Fentanyl (pain med) to see if that will improve his situation. They are going to attempt another test this morning to see if he's able to complete these tasks. He is only responding to pain, no other stimulus seems to get a legit response. The neurologist believes he has damaged part of the brain that controls that. 72 hour is the threshold where the brain should be capable of doing whatever it's able to do. We are at 144 hours now. The reality is he is in real trouble. Things are looking much more grim today than the last 4 days as his improvement has stopped and we now believe he has some significant brain issues. They are going to bring in the Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion. We can't give up hope, because if there is anyone who is able to come back from this, it's John. Unfortunately, reality is what it is. Everyone keep praying or doing whatever you do to bring good vibes to John. He needs everyone's support! Keep fighting John. The amount of people I saw come in to support John yesterday was incredible. There was 10-15 people there continuously. Friends, family, bike family. He's influenced so many people it is incredible.
  16. They just met with the neurologist. He's failing to respond to basic commands and they seem concerned about that. They are weeding him off the sedation. He was able to breathe for 45 minutes on his own before he got too irritated with his throat. Still waiting to see him now. I'll update when I know more.
  17. I'll record the video. It'll be tonik on his bike showing his HATE for every god damn tire he puts on that stupid japanese rocket ship without cruiser pegs.
  18. We've already offered this lol. He just texted me and said "If I don't buy the super sticky tires, how am I going to pass you on the inside of a blind corner?
  19. S20s have risen in price. Dennis Kirk has them for 245.00 for the set compared to RD selling the Rosso II's for 199.00.
  20. FTFY - I believe the Rosso II's are their sport touring tire and the Rosso III's are their full sport tire.
