  1. I don't care how technical a road is as long as it has 2 things - clean corners and well marked corner speed advisory signs
  2. I honestly don't ever remember riding 676. Might have to test it out before the year is out. That will let me know how I feel about it for a group setting. I just rode 26 with @dpgasser a few months back and it was okay, but if they are chip/sealing it, might be out of the question.
  3. The meetspot I picked was literally just the city of McConnellsville.. No specific location has been chosen of course... this was just a quick tentative route. I was trying to include 26/260, possibly 800, but 800 just doesn't seem feasible at keeping the meet spot as central as possible and not making the route too long.
  4. I just try not to let the idiots bother me. I'm on a motorcycle and they aren't. I'm the one enjoying life, they aren't. When people are dicks, I just zing around em and keep going and enjoy the rest of my ride. Sure, they are putting me at risk, but me getting angry only puts me at more risk, which is why I don't. PLUS, I won't let anyone ruin the fun I have on a motorcycle... Unless it's police... They always ruin the fun. Always...
  5. I can agree with what you are saying, but with many different types of riders, I figured it would be a nice change of pace for just finishing 26/260. Those two roads can be very taxing and it would be a little recovery and a bit more relaxing for those to catch their breath, but still entertaining enough to keep people interested. The route is clearly tentative and open to all kinds of suggestions. Another thing to consider is I'm also trying to keep the route fairly easy to follow so people don't get lost. The Hocking route, for years, was very difficult to remember and groups were getting lost quite frequently. The New Concord route was very easy and we didn't have that issue of groups missing turns, etc. I liked that.
  6. I was trying to include it but made the route way too long
  7. And for those who were curious - this was my tentative idea - https://goo.gl/maps/3eFDHhQNN442
  8. I've created a new route for the next ride. It is about 135 miles. Is this too much? It also would start in McConnelsville which is about 2hours 20minutes for both NEO and Dayton to get there. Is this too far for you guys?? Let me know. It encompasses two new roads to the Epic Ride that are phenomenal.
  9. I'm not going to lie, I'm a social media guy. I enjoy it. Mostly instagram/YT because of my channel and it's all mostly motorcycle stuff and Facebook because I'm a millennial. I'm constantly going over my data limits because of it. And then there's OR, but that's really not much a data hog being mostly text and a few images. Rather than think it's a problem, just embrace it. There are far worse things in the world than constantly browsing a motorcycle forum full of incredible people
  10. Most people aren't crazy Asians either.
  11. I refer you to about 1:50 seconds into the video
  12. Here is the link if anyone wants to download any of these photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHskJqVrgf Didn't go crazy on the photos, I did more video than anything. Started going through the video footage but there's a ton of it so it'll take some time to come up with a video. I'll insert small clips as I get them.
  13. You can't over analyze a crisis situation and handling things differently. It's all happening so fast and your main concern is a guy who is hurt. You did what you felt was the best thing at the time and you live with it. You aren't trained for this sort of thing so you just go off instinct. Kudos to you for doing the best you could.
  14. Speaking of which, give me a number to call and complain about your schedule. You need more time to spend with family and motorcycle family!!
  15. Nice pants, Do they take knee sliders?? Doesn't look like it. Damn, GLWS
  16. That's actually not a bad idea...
  17. Nah man, you know you move enough to keep it interesting. Our trip home was fantastic. 170 on 16 and hauled ass up 83 trying to beat the dark.
  18. @whaler and @Wolfman1 both have Gen-1 FZ1's. As far as I know, they love them.
  19. Something seems fishy here. A 675r rider from Lakewood and the first response is by a 675r rider from Lakewood. Are you the same person??
  20. Well in his defense, he never really saw you on the bike. Because it was trailered home.
  21. I dig this angle. Is that me in front?
  22. Welcome Mark. Glad to see you joined the forums. You've now made 2 excellent decisions
  23. I'm surprised you are even asian. Your memory blows. You talked about this over dinner @ millstone.
  24. I don't think there's anything medically dangerous about riding a motorcycle (not considering crashing), but common sense might tell you to stay off just as a precaution.
  25. You'd be surprised on how little sleep you need to go on for a motorcycle trip.
