  1. This is the POV from Dizzledan... This will represent a little more of what the med-fast pace was towards the front. I am the lead bike. The R1 you will see towards the second half of the video is that of Mojocho. NO music this time because the wind noise wasn't terrible. Thanks for the footage dd!
  2. Part 2 - Route 56 - POV: Whaler This part is just after whaler asked the FZ-09 rider to bounce back to a slower group.
  3. I bought a tail bag from Pony about 3 weeks ago. Was a kawasaki bag but doesn't fit my bike. I need to return it but I live 2 hours away. Can you return an item through shipping it?
  4. As a side note, not to derail the thread, but if you do come across a light that doesn't activate, In Ohio, you are authorized to safely yield through the red light after 2-3 minutes if the light doesn't activate. (I am not a lawyer) And I know this doesn't help the OP's problem, but felt fairly relevant.
  5. Indeed - Brecksville Reservation is really good practice as well. Take it slow your first couple times through, sometimes it can get a bit dirty and it has some decreasing radius turns that may catch you by surprise.
  6. Probably should start a new thread. This 2013 thread may seem a bit old.
  7. I would recommend a steel sprocket as well for the street. There isn't much benefit to the reduction in weight on the street and aluminum teeth wear much quicker. Steel will last you much longer! Indeed, you have come a long way! I remembered helping you change your oil and now you are doing all this stuff on your own. Kudos to anyone who wants to ride and maintain their bikes properly (regardless if they are doing it or not).
  8. Sorry guys. Something came up and can't make it. Stay safe and ticketless!
  9. Unlucky man. Okay we'll catch you on the next one.
  10. Going on a longer ride on Saturday and the Q3 is in the second half of its lifespan. I'll plan for this with the stipulation that my tire stays healthy.
  11. Sometimes the best way to learn to swim is to jump in the lake and hope for the best.
  12. Just bumping this. Looks like we got 3 solid plus link if he's able. Anyone else??
  13. Nope, no crashes or mishaps this year. Only two cruisers came without helmets and one guy had cords showing at the start.
  14. I'd say when we were going we were going about 75-80 mph through the straights, but when recognized people were falling behind I would slow down for a bit until I saw them catch up. We also had a few parts on 93 where we got bound up in traffic and I had to leap frog cars. Quite a few people got stuck there so that was a good catch up point as well.
  15. Start of the Epic Ride - POV: Whaler (sweeping Med-fast) Route 93 - Not all that exciting since he had the FZ09 rider in front of him, but wanted to upload all the content I had. Had to put music to it cause it was all wind noise.
  16. If they can't keep corner speed at the slow groups pace, group rides need to wait. If this is a main problem, I always believe they are looking to close to in front of the bike which is scaring them. Focus on counter steering and looking farther through the corner and it will slow everything down. If they are brand new to riding and your comments aren't helping, or you fear for the safety of the group, just slow it down to his comfort level until you find a good spot and may even need to spell it out that group riding at his/her level isn't safe for them or the group.
  17. First video of many incoming - Still editing the others but figured I'd post the first one. This video was from the Med-Fast group - Whaler (the POV) does his job as a sweep rider. This is just the video of it. This, by no means, was intended at attacking the rider being isolated, we all started somewhere, and I praise the fact that he was willing to put away his pride for his own safety. Kudos to you for that.
  18. Okay, I'll text you. Lots of variables will factor in, such as how many guys are with us, etc.
  19. Still going around 8pm, that'll be around when we get back into Canton area????
  20. Happy Birthday to your son then! We'll catch you on the next one.
  21. Myself and whaler (possibly wolfman1 as well) will be going for another Saturday ride. Leaving from Wooster (83) around 7:30am. Going to head towards Marietta. Hitting all the good roads in the process. Ending on 800 and then eating lunch probably on the River at a local diner at the end of 800 and 7 next to the Ferry, then heading back home. Should be back around 8pm. Pace will be similar to what I ran at the Epic Ride. (Maybe slightly faster, fairly brisk but not mach retard.) We will be taking stretch/gas/smoke breaks every 75-100 miles (whaler needs to smoke). Anyone interested in tagging along with us is more than welcome, let me know.
  22. Subscribed... I'm very likely in for this.
