Nice pic of the turtle shell Jim! I have fractured my lumbars in my lower back when I had my motorcycle accident and it hurt like hell for quite some time, thankfully I had no disc damage as well and made a full recovery. You will be back on two wheels in no time, get well soon Tim!

I hear ya, I was fortunate that my wife was cool with me hanging on to my bike when we started to have kids. She knows how pationate I am about riding and that it is one of the only ways for me to decompress and release stress. So basically we worked out one weekend a month I would pack on 500+ mi to get my fix and she would pick a day to hang with her friends while I watched the kids. It worked out well for us that way.

Nice video footage Doc, me and the mrs are trying to get more seat time together as well. We used to go everywhere on the bike when we were first married, then the little ones came and that all went out the window. Now the kids are getting older and we are starting to get back in the saddle together, talking about longer rides and potential future trips. Nice to see you incorporated the little one into cleaning duty for pops!

He is 10. Still got to get him a riding jacket, which is another excuse to visit the Iron Pony!

Awesome, it's a great way to get some one on one time with your kids. I just bought my oldest his first helmet and he is pumped to do some rides with Dad!

Congrats Doc, that is a sharp FJR! I still may have one of these in the stable one day, I have a soft spot for the FJR. Bring that bad boy down to the Epic Ride!

Well I finally decided after all the research that if I could get a pair of leather riding pants that feel as comfortable as jeans, that I would go that route. Decided to go with Icon Hypersport Stealth riding pants. Track spec leather in all the right places as well as adjustable armor in the knees. I put them on and was surprised at how comfortable they are. The only drawback is no pockets, but I rock a tank bag so not really an issue for me. I am really excited to try them out this season. Thank you Mike @RidersDiscount for the excellent price and very happy with my first purchase from Riders Discount, ordered on Tuesday and got them on Thursday. I will definitely purchasing more from you guys in the future!

Well its that time again and I am pumped to ride, so I figured I would get this thread started to see how many of us will be riding together down to the Epic meet spot in McConnelsville. Meet spot will be the same as the fall ride, the Minit Mart gas station on the corner of 83 and 250 in Wooster. Address is 825 Dover Rd., Wooster, Oh. 44691. It's about 2.0 hours to McConnelsville from here, I figure meet at 7:00 AM. Kickstands up by 7:30. This will put into McConnelsville around the 10:00 AM, of course that will depend on gas stops, weather, etc.. I will be riding down with Derek and Whaler. Hate parade is welcome to roll with us and we can also pick up some of you southern peeps as we pass through.

I have always bought the Honda 50/50 premix, you can find it at any bike shop.

Oh, so the pink hoodie is for those who are non gender specific?

I am going to go with cold tires. I know two people who went down in a relatively easy turn on a cool day with cold tires. One bike had shitty tires and the other bike had newer tires.

Glad to hear justice was served. How are the riders doing, have they recovered?

It is what it is, we have all been there, pay the ticket and get back out on the road. Its a lot better than reckless operation, 4 points, $150 fine, court costs, and license suspension. Don't forget your increased insurance bill $$$$$$.

Needs a coolant flush, coolant needs to be periodically changed anyway, so you might as well just do it now.

Sorry to hear that man. If you do need additional surgery, I hope they get this shit fixed for you once and for all, especially with a new riding season kicking off. I remember missing the second half of a riding season from after my accident and it was pure agony, so I know what you are going through. Do you know what cased it to get reinjured?
