  2. Welcome to the OR community! Plenty of us feel your pain about not being able to ride.
  3. Nice purchase man, beautiful bike!
  4. Thanks for the video Doc! This really helped to put me back at that ride and forget that it's snowing outside, at least for 10 minutes anyway. Seems like yesterday we were all riding together, I cant wait for the spring Epic ride, hope to see you there as always Doc!
  5. Well done! I have one hanging around my property about the same size, he has been coming by the salt block in the evening. I have plenty of pics from the trail cam, just haven't seen him during the day to get a shot.
  6. Now is a perfect time to switch to synthetic oil if that's the route you want to take. When I bought my first FZ1 new, I switched from conventional to Amsoil full synthetic, it was pricey, but worked well. I then switched to Mobil One full synthetic and ran that for many seasons due to it being better on the wallet and readily available at any Automotive store, until I noticed the bike stated burning it after so many miles into the oil change. My research has concluded this is a common problem with Mobil One. I have since switched back to Amsoil. Never had any issues with the clutch or shifting and hardly burns any oil. I have contemplated just running Yamalube conventional for a season to see if there is any noticeable difference and save some cash in the process.

  12. Sorry, meant to say just west and a tad south of you, was not thinking when I was typing.
  13. Wow, your bike looks like mine when it ping ponged off a couple of trees when I went down a few years ago. I am glad to hear you are ok and able to tell your story.
  14. Just east of you in Litchfield. Welcome to the OR community!
  15. Another vote for a trailer. I bought a high side 6x12 single axle new for $1800, insure it for $30 a year and it can haul pretty much anything. Plus, basically no maintenance. I have it set up to haul 3 motorcycles easily if needed. I only use mine a half a dozen times a year for picking up building materials and firewood. So far its been a great investment.

  18. I had the same issue with my conti tires, at certain speeds you couldn't take your hands off the grips or it would start shaking the steering left to right. I thought it was the bike and then I switched to Bridgestones and all was right again.
  19. I almost never spray the bike down unless caught in the rain and the bike is trashed. I will use a small amount of dish soap in a bucket of warm water with a microfiber rag to wipe the bike down. This is my preferred method and I do this in my garage without making a mess. The dish soap loosens grease, bugs and road grime. Dry with a microfiber towel and detail with Honda Polish. Done!
