I was debating putting new tires on it, but figured I'd leave the choice up to the new owner. They definitely need replaced in the near future. Not bald but they're not great.

Just bought a new Cummins-powered dually, so I need to get rid of this truck asap. It's a beater work truck, 213,000 miles. 2WD, LQ4 6.0, 4L80E. Has a G80 rear axle. The bed is beat up, drivers door dented, slight rust starting at the cab corners. It has the usual 30 seconds of piston slap when it's cold out. The turn signal/hazard switch messes up sometimes & it could use a new steering wheel. In the past year I've replaced the fuel pump, A/C compressor/accumulator and charged it, so A/C and heat work wonderfully. Replaced front & rear brake pads/rotors, and plugs/wires. Also put a new rear bumper & LED clearance lights on. Buy this thing and haul stuff! Or just use it as a swap I'm located in Pickerington. Otherwise I can drive the truck and meet after work near Polaris/Westerville. I have a kids metal detector that sort of works. You could borrow it. No idea if it works in this snow... I should probably test that out

Tempting. I carried one of these daily for 3 years, sold it, and miss it. This one obviously has not seen EDC duty.

When I was a bored kid we used to snag carp with a little RC boat in the chesapeake bay. It took losing 2 boats before we figured out to put a retrieval line on it. Never thought about using a sub, that would be cool.

The bright side I guess is that there aren't busted cars sitting around for an hour waiting to be towed. = less rubbernecking and traffic jams

Do you want it for a DD, weekend cruiser or a race car? Mine became much more spacious with a bride seat & no carpet/dash...

Speed limits are 70. And yes, no matter how compelling it may be to police the world - if you fail to yield to someone that would like to go faster, you are literally impeding the flow of traffic. I'd say Toyota, but it's really just because they have so many vehicles on the road. There's the Corollas with CS stickers There's the guy in the Avalon going 72 in the left lane because he's a "fast driver" There's the Camry piloted by someone putting on makeup while texting There's the Sienna swerving around because of the distraction and chaos inside There's the Prius owner who needs no explanation and sometimes, there's a Celica which is like a Honda driver with something to prove.

Love it. Starting it up on this arctic morning, the glowplug light only stayed on for about 2 seconds, and it fired right up quietly. It makes the previous TDIs seem primitive. 2014 has a backup camera added, but carefree maintenance is reduced by a year/12,000 miles. I'd happily make that trade

We just did this and it didn't make sense to buy used: Ended up getting a brand new (2013) JSW Got to be picky about the colors & options -- manual + sunroof, NO nav Paid quite a bit less than $29k out the door, and it was during the 0% APR financing deal. Yes, I've noticed some minor production quirks. But it's still a VW (normal) and a TDI (no worries).
