My opinion on twilights:

 

1:47 may be approaching the slower times for a twilight, but there are people who are running WAY slower than that...and I'm not talking about smaller displacement bikes.  If you are comfortable with the track, can reguarly get in the 40's and are fine with being passed at pace on inside and out it won't be a problem.  Last twilight I attended was on a shitty front tire that was stealing all my confidence...I was probably running low 50's and still passing a few people.

I am 1:49's and consistent low 1:50's.  I don't feel like being in the way or being told to leave so I guess I'll stay home on the couch.  

Just to reminder twilight is for experience intermediate and advance only.1:47 is not really fast times for twilight.if you not in pace we can send you home without refund.

Do the moto-D ones work with the XT beacon? I though about getting one since mine took a crap.

I had to return mine. It would not work at Mid-Ohio.

I posted a wtb ad on the WERA forum and got a great deal on a lap timer. In case you have considered it, the $50 lap timers do not work with the track beacon. I tried.

I'm one of the slower guys in A. This was the first time my lap timer worked at mid-o; best time from today was a 46 flat. Wish the weather held out; need more time to figure out the track.

I left during lunch and was wondering if I screwed up.  From the sounds of it I made the right decision.  I still had an amazing two days.

I have to go the night before to make it since I have a four hour drive. It sucks but it is worth it.

Does anyone know how late tech runs, or if there is a riders meeting prior to the track going green........... basically do you need to be there by 9am?

I could not find that info on the mid-o school website.

Mandatory riders meeting is at 8:15.

Awesome Suzukipilot I will also be In the novice group! Ill be in the silver ram and white 675.

Also I think I have my bike just about ready. quick question. I removed the mirrors and tail chop. I just put blue tape over the holes, is that what everyone else is doing? also I removed the fuses for the lights, shoud I just leave the front turn signals in the body or should I remove those as well?

If you don't want to remove your signals you can just tape them up with blue masking tape. You will need to tape up your lights as well.

I'm just an intermediate guy but if you need any help with anything just let me know. Also, I posted a pretty decent thread detailing my first track days you may want to check out. It should give you a really good idea of what you have in store.

They have them listed in the site but I am pretty sure it is just oil cap, oil filter, and drain plug.

I signed up today.  It seems kind of weird to look forward to a Monday.  I'll be getting there Sunday evening.

Planning on attending as long as the weather looks good. I'm a fair weather rider.

Not too big at all. Some of the people there have some cash. I am amazed at some of the toy haulers and motor homes.
