Also, Matt nice meeting you this weekend.
Nice meeting you too. That's the meanest sounding Supra I've ever heard.

It certainly looks like a lot of belt slip to me. Here's my boost graph with a 2.80 upper only Eaton. I was seeing 12PSI right off the hit. You should be at 16PSI at 2300-2400 RPM. Low timing also killing your numbers a bit but not a bad idea for boost level on pump gas. Make sure your seeing 20in of vac. at idle. you could have a leak.

Well, there's the QS&L in Groveport, but their parking lot isn't the greatest - too many potholes and such. Then there's the QS&L in New Albany, but I think they are now charging you to park there if you aren't eating there, so that one's out. There's the QS&L in the Arena District, but, well, it's downtown and that gets a little congested on Saturday nights, so that probably wouldn't be the best. So, I guess that leaves the QS&L in Polaris, which happens to be the only fucking Quaker Steak & Lube in the Columbus metropolitan area.

~$4,400 total in mods gave me ~ 220RWHP over stock.

Why didn't you sell the car whole? That was a very unique car. I would have thought someone would have wanted to buy it.
-
You could probably drive it on the street but you would be promptly arrested. That's a racecar, and a fast one at that.
-
Anything in the 12's would be a fast daily driver. That would take car of 90% of the cars on the road.
-
Please tell me you've broke into the 13's with that thing. I've seen 4-5 GTO's run at the track and not one broke into the 13's. Those cars have to be good for low 13's. I was ready to yank some keys out of peoples hands.

try driving in boston where the streets have no direction and deadend/turn into one way without warning
This man speaks the truth. I love the city but don't even fucking think of driving around there.

I think you meant to say it sounded feminine, not feminist. If it sounded feminist, it would have read something like this:
"I helped him build the car, though he tried to suppress me the whole time. It was like he refused to acknowledge me as his equal. So, with perseverance, I was able to gain equality in the garage."
Nicely done.

they are far and few between.
Amen brother. I'm not as concerned about the cost as I am the quality.
-
a good body shop can do it .
And that body shop would be?? I asked the same question about a year ago and got no answers. It's hard to believe there are no quality restoration shops in Columbus. I'm not talking about guys that beat on fenders either. I'm talking about a shop that can find old NOS parts, hang quarters properly, align body panels perfectly and research how to properly replicate complicated paint schemes.

Congrats Amy.

Our MDX has a third row of seating. It's not too bad in terms of room/comfort.
-
At least you don't have to deal with the "Brutus" phone system for class enrollment. I hated that fucking thing.

Mine does the same thing when it's extremely cold out. In my case it comes from the garage area and it's caused by frost heave. I don't think they went deep enough on the foundation around the garage and it lifts slightly when it's extremely cold out for a long period of time. It creates one hell of a boom.

Sorry to hear about the turbo plans. If your going to spray >100 shot you'll be much safer going wet. Nitro Daves system works pretty well, it would be my choice if were going that route.
-
I agree with the 125 min trap speed, anything less just isn't going to be competitive. There has to be at least 15+ cars on this site that trap 125+. Add me to the list Jon.

I have State Farm and when it is not being driven I just drop the coverage to just the comprehensive. Is that not an option for you? It only costs me like 10-15 per month while in storage?
I do the same thing with Erie insurance. I drop to comprehensive from Dec-April. It's about $20.00/month.

with 29psi i would expect to see better numbers
The boost indicator looks to be reading a little high. 2.5 upper with a 4lb lower is 25PSI. The only way a KB 2.2 could produce 29PSI would be a huge lower pulley and a clogged exhaust. It'll make the numbers after the tune gets ironed out.
-
A set of long tubes would free up 30-40RWHP and bring your boost down to ~23PSI. They're just so damn hard to install. Do you remember what the IAT2's and timing were in the upper RPM's?
-
God I hope the belt isn't slipping, she hit 26 psi at 3500. It's only running 100, but that'll probably go up.
Belt slip will occur the most in the upper RPM range. It won't be hard to tell if it's slipping, the engine bay will be covered in black belt dust. I would run 100 octane with a can of Torco for good measure, ~105 octane at a minimum. No less than 110 when it gets warmer out. Anything past 23PSI is just making heat and there's very little in terms of HP increase. Torque will continue to go up but it's generally offset by the timing being pulled up top due to the IAT2's going past 150. I'm curious to see what it makes, shoot me a PM when you get a good pull on the Dyno. Thanks.
-
Matt, I'm running a 2.5 upper and a 4lb lower.
You'll probably see a lot of belt slip with that combo. A 3.0 upper with a 6lb lower will probably net you more boost due to reduced belt slip. That's running a lot of boost, better be feeding that thing 110+.
New best tonight
