Meeting with a guy in the morning to see about trading for his wranlger, hopefully this one works out and we swap. I like it. :fingerscrossed:[emoji28]

Will do then, thanks for the advice! When I got back from the parts store I realized I forgot to grab one of those. A few dollars for peace of mind is just fine with me.

Well your lucky, I bet you can just shimmy it back under there too, you've got more of a gap/straight pathway to under your seat, mines to tight around the seat. But I'm satisfied with what I've got for now, ill see how it works. Also I just mounted and wired up a 12V outlet to battery for my phone charger, is it a bad idea to not have a fused link in there with that or should it be okay without one?

I wish my seat come off without taking off 4 bolts. Could stash wiring better.I'm going with this for now for the extensions so they're easy to get and to secure out of the way of anything. Just a couple wire retaining stick on clips. I'll pocket the controller since I'm only using one on the jacket and gloves, I have another one for when I start wearing the pants but they don't bother me much to clip on my belt.

What Was Your Solution To declutter the Wiring and controls? Seems Like If I Choose To Control Everything Separately there will Be A Lot Of Wiring and controllers attached To me. just used my jacket and gloves this morning to try it out for the first time and the jacket had me sweating, the gloves are a bit small, might have to sell them and get XL if these don't stretch out. Haven't tried the pants yet but I'm ready for some freezing Temps now! Considering 30 ' feels like the teens on a naked bike

Awesome, I like titayz I'll be toasty owner of this set up later today, can't wait to try it out. My 50 degree ride now into work at 4 a.m. is only gonna get colder soon.

Who has Tourmaster heated gear? found a package deal for pants, jacket, and gloves... any reviews?

Bump, who has a Jeep Cherokee they want to trade me?

Sv650, or some kind of twin around that size, that's what I would suggest most start on since you can keep the rpms down low while getting used the bike, then you have a broad power band to play with with decent power that you won't outgrow in a year.. Not to mention that you can pretty much alway pick up an sv650 for the same price as a ninja 250 or 500 pretty much.

Interesting.... I guess you can live out of one of those lol.

That exhaust looks like a mini keg with a man straw!

Yeah see, they make riders look like mysterious badasses as well.

Yeah I had a smoked chrome one before and learned my lesson. Been using clear visor with sunglasses for a while so this is a nice change. We'll see how long it lasts before I switch to clear or get another regular smoked.

stopped in cycle specialties today after work, got an HJC CL-17 flat black with gold visor to play with the bikes color scheme. It's suuuuuuper comfy compared to my worn old shoei and I like the quality construction of it.

Well when I say the early model in stock form would smash, I'm assuming the driver of that car would have turned up the boost and maybe even put an exhaust on it over the course of 22 years But the 4G63 is such a pliable and easy motor to get power gains out of, even virtually stock, I wouldn't be too surprised to see it go toe to toe in a straight with the latest model.

Yeah, after 1999 it all went down hill for the eclipse, no turbo option, no AWD option, and progressively got worse looking. They took away the very things that made these cars desirable. how could they think they were on the right track when the last of these cars made in 2011 came with a v6 as the top tier engine yet it would still get smashed by a stock 1989 gst. That's just funny.

Yep me too, learned how to drive in one of these when I was 14, brother had one, sister had one, naturally I got one as well. Always wanted the 4G63 AWD just too pricey back when I was in the market for one, not to mention the maintenance costs are pretty significant on those motors. These 420A motors are very comparable to the civic SI DOHC in terms of reliability and super cheap and easy to work on, but overall a better chassis than the civics. Thanks tho

Have had the car on CL for a while now with tons of interest but no one serious come through. Taking a loss on money and time invested but that's expected. Car is reliable, super fun to drive, and gets awesome gas mileage, best of all world's. For those of you with a kid turning 16 soon or those of you who like cars (enjoy driving them) this is a great car. I've owned it since 86,000 miles and it's been perfect for my needs. It's not the prettiest car as it sits, it does need a paint job and a little elbow grease to look great again, I don't think it looks too bad but thats subjective. I've focused all my time and attention on everything but the paint and body since I've owned it. So anyway, any of you on here have any interest or know anyone else who might be please pass the word along. It does great in the snow, actually very fun to drive in the snow. Could be a very light project for someone who would want to paint it and make it their own style, or just drive it as is and it'll take you anywhere you want to go. Thanks. http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/4606651873.html

Sweetness, that's a bad ass bike. You've got the same danmoto exhaust pipes I have on my sv... I have just one tho. Glad you'll be participating in epic ride now.

Anyone ever tried being cheap and modifying a stock seat with a gel pad? I was thinking of doing this with my stock seat. $30-40 for a good size gel pad then just take the cover off seat, shave some foam down til the gel fits nicely and recover. Don't have anything to loose really, and it's gotta be a little more comfy. Figured I'd do a little write up and post it whenever I get around to doing it.

So are these shirts gonna happen or do we need more people?

Lol, funny how the OP joined just to post this. That thing is pretty hideous though, I'll stick with 2 wheels and an engine between my legs before this. -
PMed also.
